Aliscent and Cole doing some bangs together was an unexpected turn but I think it added something to the story of Aliscent that wasn't there before. I don't love how much the sheer hate parade is about her, but for now the way things will end seems pretty clear to me and I think it will be intresting and fun.

Alicent and Cole was obvious. Toward the end of season 1, the sexual tension was definitely present.

Viserys identified Rhaenryas children as his true born grandchildren and heirs. Tampering with his succession after his decrees was treasonous and that wasn't Rhaenrya.

it is also expressed in the way alicent dresses and the way she wears her hair now

Haven't been on your channel for a while because it was too for my liking and to be honest felt a bit repetitive. Now being back I really like your new videos, you seem so much more positive, I like how balanced and analytical your recent videos are. So thanks for your content 😊

Yeah I gutted my channel with a full overhaul right before House of the Dragon started, my old videos were amateur, had too much yelling, and weren't well structured.

I personally did not care when they started. It seemed from the first scene of them together like they just started smashing because Viserys died and Alicent wanted an outlet, exactly like Olivia Cooke explained.
So this doesn't seem so much like a show / writer failure (in which they didn't make something obvious enough) and more an audience failure.

I mean Fire and Blood are basically three to five short stories or novellas. Overall is a good story but individually each story needs to be flushed out more. There are large parts for main characters who do absolutely nothing but should have been doing something that's just not worthy of being described. Halfway through the short story, Aliscent stops being relevant even though it's named after her.

As long as they won't do something stupid like making Daeron Criston's bastard Idc. This season the showrunners are taking strange liberties, like B&C and the Rhaenicent sept scene

I agree that the Sept scene was contrived but I enjoyed it. Didn't mind the blood and cheese changes. Lots of things have been changed for adaption, no need for a huge argument about each thing.
I do agree Daeron shouldn't be a bastard, though I wouldn't mind him being dark-haired due to aliscent's genes and sent to Oldtown due to viscous rumours that are ultimately proved (almost certainly) wrong due to the dragon claiming.

In episode 3 they mention that Daeron is a dragon rider. I don’t think they’re going down the bastard route.

I agree with J_ads. Also I don't think Alliscent was sleeping with anyone bit viserys untill he passed

Nobody else brings up the Dornish features Criston had besides Alicent and Gwayne Hightower.

I just wish we had a bit more lead up. I understand and really don't mind it, as an addition, but it came a bit out of left field and no one ever even??? Mentions it much? "We can't do this again" can just as well be "aww we can't continue (see you tonight)" or just the general guilt over the queen dowager/guard thing, it doesn't really imply newness.
And Alicents pov I still get, but Criston I don't? Yes she's a gorgeous woman, but I just wish we had been privy to the start of this, because I have no fucking idea how and why Criston went into this.

well there actually were supposed to be lines in season 1 setting it up a bit but they were for the most part cut for time. They DO exist, archived scripts confirm that, so it didn't come out of nowhere. I'm not enthusiastic about it but I don't hate it either.

In the books, not fire and blood but in asoif Cercei wonder about alicole relationship. And it is kind implied had rumors of them. So is not completely out canon. Also I think it is very important for they starting their relationship sexually because both had bad experiences before with sex, so is a good contrast. I am very interesting how this going to develop and affect their arcs. Because for me, what it seems what motivates Cole loyalty is not Aegon in it self but his feelings for Alicent.

@@darksaint0124 in some way she is mentioned. Same with Criston, Jaime even make a remark about him. But you don't need to believe me if you don't want.

@FrakkinToasterLuvva in one of the book Joffery spoils the ending.,

@@luvprue1 No, Joffrey spoils the ending (or rather, not the ending, but the fate of a major character) in season 3 of the show.
In the books, the same thing is spoiled in The Hedge Knight (at the very beginning, Dunk thinks about it) and in A Dance with Dragons (Dany thinks about it in her POV).
