232 miles @ 79 mph is actually excellent. To get EPA numbers you have to do 60 in mild weather. FSD seems to have largely cured phantom braking, and when it happens the speed drop is only a few mph, far from "slamming on the brakes".

At 79mph your claimed range is very good. Step on the pedal in a gas powered car and see how great your mileage is.

I have two likes about my Model Y that I don't hear from others:
1. Very smooth braking, no matter if I use the brake pad or not.
2. No outside smells enters the cabin, not even from smoke
I've been using FSD for several years, and I totally get the frustration with phantom breaking. But honestly it is very rare now. I can't remember the last time it happened.
depends on where you are. plenty of new Tesla owners on the internet, still sharing their experiences with phantom braking.
They do fix specific phantom breaking problems: there was one specific area going south on the West Side Highway in Manhattan (an elevated area in Harlem), where it used to get triggered every time, but is now gone. And yes, IMO it is much better than it used to be.
When I bought my Y- 21 for the whole year on every 2 lane Highway any Semi coming at me it would phantom brake. Sometimes 60 down to 30 mph, scare the crap out of us. But June of 21 a software fix? solved it. Now from June 2021 to present NONE. If I could not use self driving I would sell it. But now I plan on a new one every 4 years ...80 year old male 300 miles from a service center

But to hear a "normal" talk about a car as a regular transport gadget, as it is, is just amazing. The range issue you ran into isn't a sign of battery degradation. The quoted range of the car is based on a mix of driving scenarios. X% city, Y% highway, etc. If you drive close to 100% at highway speeds (as in a road trip), of course the efficiency is dramatically reduced. This is due to aerodynamic drag, which grows with the square of your speed. Even just driving 80 instead of 60 mph means drag increase of *almost 80%*. It's the same relationship as that between speed and braking distance.
Good point - and backwards from what us former gas car drivers had gotten used to -- a lot lower range in town and higher on the highway. Will be the opposite with EV's.
Excellent explanation! EPA combined MPG is 55% city and 45% highway. I assume it’s the same for EPA range.
Yes, in short, electric are an inferior choice for mostly highway driving. Depending how long your battery lasts, the battery replacement cost alone can be more per mile than running a diesel (and this isn’t even factoring in your electricity costs).

@@pepstein It's possible, but it's a major inconvenience and there are countless videos showing the effort involved. This is not a myth, it is cold hard reality. The myth that range is not an issue is getting old and tired. Every honest review talks about range being an issue, especially if you want to be comfortable with heating/cooling on.
You go to the Tesla website, says 374 mile range for a model 3... You go to EV Database and on the motorway in winter? - 170 miles. But.. most of them lose around 12-15% of range in the first 3-4 years - so that's 144.5 miles. But you're never going to go from 0% to 100% - let's say you go from 10% to 90% (also not great for longevity, but let's go with that) - you're down to 115 miles range - but you want to leave I don't know, 40 miles spare in case a charger is broken or you get stuck in traffic? - that's real world range of 75 miles in a £50k car at 70mph in winter/autumn (much less at 80mph!). Add a caravan? - you're down to 40. This is not even accounting for a 1% per day self discharge rate or additional losses if you ever park outside for prolonged periods. You evangelists are completely out of touch with the real world.

230 miles is about the same i get when i drive mostly on our Autobahn. In winter its less, in summer, when i have to drive through traffic jams its slightly more.
We’ve our Y for a month and everything you and your wife mentioned is true. It’s a dream of a car.

For reasons I do not know, my 2022 model Y has only once ever had a phantom brake issue in my 32,000 miles of driving and heavy use of auto pilot
FYI, you can press the accelerator pedal to force the car to go faster while in Autopilot. So if the car starts to slow down when it shouldn’t, press that pedal! There’s no need to touch the brakes or stalks to override phantom braking. It’s annoying, but if you remain in charge and ready in this way, it’s safe. I’ve noticed phantom braking is less common and much less severe in the latest public FSD beta release, so the future is looking bright.
meh, just went on a trip and my 2019 M3LR still phantom breaks. I'm on 22.45.15. Not that much improvement from a few months ago, if any.

@@Theboardsurfer long answer: There are currently two very different versions of Autopilot. If you’ve paid for FSD via a one time payment or monthly subscription, and you’ve managed to get FSD beta, then you’re using this new software for both city and highway driving. Otherwise, you’re using the old Autopilot software that’s designed for highway use only. Eventually I expect Tesla will retire the old software and use a feature reduced version of their FSD software for basic Autopilot.
FSD beta has improved dramatically in the last two years, but most releases have quite a bit of phantom braking. The latest release still has it, but most slowdowns are so short and mild they don’t really matter. In my experience, the old autopilot system has very little phantom braking, but when it does happen, it’ll slow way down if you let it. Either way, frequency seems to vary from person to person, probably due to the type of roads they drive on.
Autopilot used to be quite dumb. It would simply follow the car ahead and stay centered in the lane. As it learned to be a more defensive smarter driver, false positives started to happen. For example, it used to ignore cars in adjacent lanes, where now it looks out for cars merging into your lane. This is where phantom braking comes from. I’ll take some phantom braking in exchange for safer and more natural driving. But then again, I don’t have a problem overriding with the accelerator pedal, as I explained above.
Very helpful review! My wife and I have a similar dynamic in that I love to get immersed in car nerdome and she just wants to get in it and drive. We have a MYLR on the way and couldn't be more excited. This kind of honest feedback on the car after living with it is super encouraging. And Mrs. S can come steal the show whenever she wants! Interesting take on your Model Y after one year.
I have had mine for 15 months now, and recently drove it from California to Delaware (and back!) and I agree that the phantom braking can be really disconcerting. But it did only seem to happen when I was going faster than 75 mph.
Never having run the battery down to zero, I don't really know the full range of the car, but I did notice that range was reduced in areas where the speed limit was higher than 70 mph. Also, strong headwinds (like those found on the Great Plains) can really cost.
Otherwise, I think you guys nailed it: really comfortable, safe, great storage, excellent visibility.
And Jamie (sp?) you should definitely come back and steal the show from Andy whenever you like. ;-)

Model YP crossing parts of Montana and South Dakota cruised 90 mph. That is the max on cruise control. It seemed effortless, quiet, and felt no different than going 60. Uses battery much faster over 70, but more fun. Drive about two hours and charge for 1/2 hour all day long.

Really wish there was a long hold down to switch from AP to basic cruise control or adaptive cruise only. If the phantom breaking is the vision only adaptive cruise then they still have a long way to go.

I enjoyed the video from when you first got the car, and I enjoyed this video very much too. I have a '22 Model 3, which will be one year old next month, and I still experience some phantom braking too. I learned to drive with my foot on the gas pedal, even while in cruise control, so that I can give it a boost whenever it starts to slow down. It's not a regular occurrence, but it happens often enough to be prepared. I notice it happening most often when I'm passing a large truck on the interstate, while in a sharp curve to the left. I'll feel the car start to panic and go back and forth between thinking it has to slow down, or drive on at the set speed. I only ever drive in the standard cruise control setting. I never give it the second bump that hands the steering to the car. It creeps me out feeling the wheel turn on its own. Reminds me of the very first vehicle with cruise control I ever drove. Back around 1980, I had to go to town to pick up something for my boss, and he let me take his Jeep. I decided to try the cruise control, to see what it was like, and when I turned it on, I felt the gas pedal go down on its own. That just wasn't right.
re: 9:08, what was your tire pressure? I find a tire pressure below 40 starts impacting a lot (the impact increases as it goes lower than this). Curious what yours was.
Enjoyed the video and subscribed. Had MYLR since February, battling wind noise from the passenger side of the vehicle. Took it into service three times, no leaks just “normal wind turbulence “. On our recent 2200 mile road trip, experienced the phantom braking several times and stopped using it after a big scare when a 18 wheeler was behind me and the MY wanted to slow down at 75 mph! Nothing in front of me, had to slam on the accelerator or get hit by the big rig. I’m sure they thought I was brake checking, felt bad for the scare. I’ll use it cautiously in the future. All reported to service, they kinda brushed it off and said, “They’re working on it “. I couldn’t reproduce the wind noise with the technician in the car. The wind noise reduction kit I brought from a third party didn’t help at all. Overall, we love the car, if anyone has suggestions on the wind noise, I’m would love to hear them. Thanks again.
The phantom breaking is also my biggest safety complaint. I love using AP, however it still occasionally has phantom braking. I counteract this in heavy traffic areas by covering the accelerator with my foot. If it starts to brake, I just apply a little pressure and problem solved. Yes, it’s nice to sit with your legs in more comfortable positions but safety first until Elon fixes the underlying issue.

But I am terrified of the phantom braking that occurs arbitrarily. I have had it occur in autopilot and cruise control. It just takes one near accident with phantom braking to make me very reluctant to use autopilot or cruise control.
Despite Tesla’s claims the lack of sonor and radar contribute to it.

As a model Y P owner, yes, 79mph should still deliver over 300 miles of range. With so many states with 70,75, and 80+ speed limits, this is reasonable request. Where he said he was driving around, we are talking 70 and 75 limits. There should be no reason to have to hyper mile behind semis to get close to rated range. Tesla fibs on this. Elon Musk goes back on his commitment to increase ranges. This is his Achilles heel. He never drives more than couple hundred miles. Otherwise he takes his $30,000,000 jet. Rest of us do not have such a set up. If he goes back on his 550+ mile range commitment on the CyberTruck, he will lose half or more of pre-orders. Including my batch ordered for business. I think he knows he is going reverse course on his range commitment.. That is why he had modest production predictions.
@@johnross6314 Its a matter of physics. From 60mph to 80 the wind resistance and power required to keep your speed is increased by 30-50% depending on drag coeff. Its not dishonest to expect a 60mph highway speed for your range estimates. You also don't get regen braking when on the highway VS city driving which increases average range further.
@@aerostorm_ nope… the range to be adjusted for real world driving. And batteries increased in size to make that better. Beside, parasitic drag, road drag, or wind drag should (and does not unless there is a issue with design) not reduce range by 33-45% by going 15-20 mph over the magic never possible 60 mph on a freeway. Regen braking according to most apps that measure live data, with people focused on urban/metro driving, adds 7% to the range. I am not upset about that. Anything helps. Plus reduces brake system wear. However, it is not as much as one would guess.

Great video, thanks for putting that together. In the last year, I have not seen any phantom breaking. It used to be pretty common, but the latest software seems to really fix the issue. One problem that is probably going to persist though - which feels a little like "phantom" breaking: In my area, there are places where the speed limit changes from 70 all the way down to 45. Everyone drives 80 to the point where driving less than 80 feels dangerous - but when the car sees that change in speed limit, it suddenly starts slowing down to stay within the speed limit or some % of it. I unfortunately think that some of these things we'll just have to live with due to the NHTSA or the speed limit drop to 45 getting fixed. It's a stupid speed trap, 100% of cars driving past that area are going at least 25mph over the speed limit.
This is interesting: what I’ve observed is that on multi lane highways Autopilot ignores the speed limit changes, it does limit the speed to +5 MPH over the speed limit on two way, single lane roads/streets.
The range on my model 3 was the same. You go above 65 mph and it falls quickly. 80 did the same thing to me for sure. Funny thing is my Kia Forte gets 41 mpg and the sticker says 40 mpg highway which isn’t 80 mph in the epa test. They inflate the range for the best outcome possible if you drive 60

I’m suprised how ppl don’t understand the relationship between speed and range. As you increase your speed, over a certain point, your wind resistance goes up exponentially. If you want the optimal range you have to go closer to the optimal speed or close to the speed used by EPA/Tesla.
My strategy on the highway is to pick my supercharger based on options given, usually one further than recommended, Then I titrate my speed to have between 5-10% on arrival. This translates to covering max distance and having fast charging speeds as the battery is low.
I wouldn’t pull into a charger at 1mi, because I’d have slowed down on the highway to ensure a little more buffer.
Not "exponentially", but quadratically. Still, the conclusion is correct. The official range is based on a more or less typical mix of city and highway driving, not *just* highway driving.

The resultant parabola does likely resemble an exponential curve in most cars.

You will never get advertised range when highway driving. That range is for city driving. My buddy just bought a brand new Y LR and he's averaging 230wh/mi. Not sure what's up w yours.
How did you ultimately get the motor whine noise fixed? Motor replacement?

I’d like to mention don’t get swayed by Musk haters. They say “I would never support that guy, with his political stance”, and he works his employees to death. I understand this, and I agree Musk is like a kid. But if you let CEO’s of companies keep you from buying their products, people wouldn’t buy many things. I love Apple products, and I bought them in spite of Steve Jobs. He wasn’t very liked either.
Anyway, when you buy a tesla you support allot of awesome workers, that try their best to make the best EV on the planet. 👍🏻👍🏻

I guess I got an outlier. My 2021 M3 SR+ has never had a scary episode of phantom braking - indeed, maybe six total events of the car applying brakes for no discernible reason in its 2+ years, 32,000 miles. And each of those were mild events, easily corrected and put me in no danger.
I’ve driven across the US, up and down the West Coast, and in many different settings: urban, rural, interstate, county roads, etc…
I do use AP quite a lot, especially on long drives on interstates, and find I am much more relaxed when I reach my destination because of AP. I don’t use it in certain situations (driving in town, or through intense, active construction zones). Windy mountain roads are a type of driving that I truly enjoy, so I reserve those for me alone!

Some real problems that I see nobody talks about…
1. Windshield is the most fragile I ever saw in my life… I know people that changed the windshield 3 times in 400 miles.
2. Paint chips very often because of road debris.
3. Phantom breaking is scary untill you get use to it.
4. Rims also damage very easy.
Some of these are not a HUGE problem if you know them before buying the car. Not to not buy it … but to take extra care and were you can to protect it.

We thank you for your great informative videos. We just purchased a Model Y and will keep it between 20 and 80% charged mostly. Do you recommend we constantly charge it so that it is close to 80% most of the time or simply charge it when it gets close to 20%? We dont put many miles on it so I am assuming it will be days between charging if we wait until it gets closer to 20% charge. You are the expert so we want your opinion since you have kept that battery on your model 3 practically new after so many miles of use. Thanks again.

My husband and I purchased a Red 2023 Model Y dual motor with pick-it up March 31, 2023. We park in our two car garage pulling straight in and cannot seem to find the front camera to see where the bumper and front edges of car are. There are some colored lines that come around the car picture on the touchscreen but are unable to find where the camera view is to pull in safely since we have another car parking in our garage as well. Where is the information about this issue? We have been a follower of yours for several years while we were looking to purchase. Thanks for your help.

I am happy with the efficiency of my MYLR. It replaced a 2015 Model S, and the Y is more efficient and has more passenger and cargo space. Andy got 230 miles total range on his trip, but 79 mph driving vs. 55 mph to get rated range is significant. I never expect to get near rated range on the interstate highways. I stop every 2 hours for a restroom or meal break, so I don’t need more than about 150 mile range at 75 mph. Andy’s trip was to and from a vacation cabin, so his range was further reduced by vampire drain for the days spent there.
How have the seats held up with car seats installed?
40K miles on 2022 MY LR. The braking is not "Phantom," but a legitimate safety response to something ahead... maybe another vehicle ahead moved toward or drifted slightly into my lane, maybe a pedestrian was on track to enter the road. Approaching an incline has caused unexpected braking as I think the car perceives seeing the road rising above the horizon as a possible obstruction in the road. Approaching a curve in the road can result in harder braking than a human might, but it's still important that the car slow down, so I'm glad it's slowing before the curve. People mis-perceive this as "phantom" when there is a real reason for braking. Btw, this has much improved in recent months with recent software updates.
Phantom breaking is a BIG issue. It happens at least once a drive for me here in San Diego. Scares the heck out of you and any unfortunate driver behind you. It breaks for bikes in the bike lane, vehicles ahead that move into the right turn lane and slow to turn, on the freeway if vehicles change into my lane at a normal distance ahead of me.

Autopilot and FSD are works in progress, phantom braking was just addressed in the latest update and will continue to get better. 79 mph? Of course range is going to take a big hit. Air resistance goes brrrrrrr ☺️
Phantom Braking is still a very serious problem. We recently drove our 6 month old 2023 Model Y LR on a road trip from Tucson AZ to Milwaukee WI and experienced 5-10 incidents of Phantom Braking each day - in Cruise Control as well as Auto Pilot. Frustrating, even dangerous. The problem doesn’t seem to be as bad in our 2020 Model 3 LR but we haven’t taken that on a long highway drive lately.

How do you report the phantom braking?
I'm a fan of Teslas and will likely purchase a MY next year, but there's some inconsistency with talking about how safe the vehicle is to almost immediately talking about phantom braking and the cowbell easter egg. All valid points, but you might want to consider that in future videos.

9:28 - an issue I have with my Tesla, never ever have I gotten close to estimated range with my M3. No matter how perfect the weather, road conditions, travel speed, not using heat or AC, etc. I find my Audi PHEV range closely matches (and in warmer weather actually has been exceeding) their advertised range. One thing I really like with the Audi, when turned on you see the estimated range and as soon you turn on heat/AC the range drops to account for that usage before you even leave the driveway.
I don't know if it is how I drive (Chill mode 97% of the time) or how I charge (Superchargers 95% of the time to 80-85%) or what, but my Model S 2015 P85D regularly goes 220miles on a Full Charge (road trips) with multiple percentages of battery remaining. We use 220miles as our "need to SC point" and try not to go beyond that (have gone 232miles) but use it as our typical safe max point. We follow the speed limit except on the Frwy where we usually set the cruise control to 80 MPH. We live in Southern CA.

WLTP is city mainly and electric cars regen almost all energy if driven correctly in the city while breaking.
If u don’t break its range is way lower since the energy is used not regenerated

I have a 2022 Tesla model Y performance. I wonder if anyone has tried to go reverse in full speed and see what it sounds like? I know the reverse sound gets louder when you go faster, I’m just curious what the top speed is for a Tesla in reverse. Maybe there’s an Easter egg sound when you’re at full speed.
I have a 2023 model Y, and didn’t have any issues with phantom braking until I drove across the Nevada desert. It did it several times. What I noticed is it seem to do it when there was a mirage in the distance. You know when you get that look like there’s water in front of you down the road. I’m wondering if the camera is seeing that and it’s confusing it and causing the breaking. I don’t have issues with driving at night and driving on highways in my area, it was only in this wide-open desert with no one else around and mirages in the distance. Has anybody else noticed that?

My cons for my MY23 that were not mentioned here: (very) uncomfortable on some roads. Mostly roads not in 1 piece if you see what I mean. Old concrete roads for example. Secondly, the (very) large turning radius. And finally, AC charging limited to 11 kWh. Lots of 22 kWh charging points in my vicinity but it charges at max 11 kWh because of limitations of the on-board charger. Oh and the absence of parking sensors in combination with Tesla vision not being available until today 😕. Otherwise, great car!
I shut down AP when someone is riding my bumper at 80 MPH even though I’ve only had 3 instances of PB in a year with my MYLR. That’s just dangerous and I’m looking for an escape!
They are going to have to figure out the phantom breaking issue for full self driving. My hope is that a software update in the future will make this problem nonexistent

I felt like with mine model 3, when it is dirty it does it a lot more other then that mine doesn’t do it.
That phantom braking is something I’ve had on my last 2 *Toyota’s*. I figure it has to do with the front radar/ultrasonic sensors that are used for variable speed cruise control. Something… is making it think there’s a car ahead and it spikes the brakes. It may be why they’ve ditched the front sensors and are developing that Tesla Vision system instead.

Hi Andy, I suspect you already know the answer to the question about why you only got 232 mi range in your Model Y LR: speed. I used the following calculation to determine the effect of speed: Range = Battery capacity . efficiency / (0.5 . 𝞀 . v^2 . Cd . A + m . g . cos(𝞋) . Crr + m . g . sin(𝞋)), where I estimated the usable battery capacity at 75 kWh, efficiency at 85%, 𝞀 = air density (I used sea level: 1.2041 kg/m^3 or 0.0752 lb/ft^3), v = velocity, Cd = coefficient of drag (I used 0.23), A = frontal area (I couldn't find any data on this, but estimated it at 2.35 m^2 or 25.3 ft^2), m = mass, which is 2056 kg (4533 lb) + I used 70 kg (154 lb) load, g = gravitational acceleration (9.81 ms^-2, 31.2 ftm^-2), 𝞋= angle of elevation (I assumed flat) and Crr = coefficient of rolling resistance ( I assumed 0.01008). At 79 mph (127 km/h), the predicted range is 373 km (232 mi), which is exactly what you got (I tweaked the assumptions to achieve this). At 70 mph (113 km/h), keeping everything else the same, your predicted range is 432 km (268 mi). It is still well shy of 330 mi, of course, but I presume this estimate is based on your average use, including driving some of the time on city streets. And one more question, on your trip when you only got 232, what was the altitude change? Going ten over the limit really reduce range btw. Wind resistance is a big reason.
I get the same range, more or less. In Europe. Certainly NOT 10 above. That would be strictly forbidden of course! Wind reduces the range significantly. Also snow or heavy rain. And temps below freezing.
I have a 2021 LR AWD with 90K miles - I have achieved 320 miles on a single charge countless time. Speed kills (efficiency/range).

The phantom braking IS scary! I experienced it for the first time a few months ago in my M3 (after 4 yrs of ownership). I’ve been a little nervous about using autopilot again and Inrarely drive on the freeways and when I do, they are way to crowded for me to use it comfortably. Great car otherwise!
Sounds scary. My lane keep assist went Schizophrenic a year ago. Since a year ago, all of my Tesla updates have been either useless or negative.

I have a little over 7000 miles on my LR Model Y. I currently have averaged 245 Wh/mi but I do more city driving than highway and usually only have myself or 1 passenger. I've had a few instances of phantom breaking but not many. I've been lucky in that I had no significant build problems or mechanical issues since I've owned it, but I have had 2 flat tires because of screws/nails. It's my favorite car that I've owned (I'm 70 yrs old). I have not done a long road trip yet because I live in NM and Superchargers are few and far between in much of the rural west (AZ,NM,UT,CO,WY,NV,ID,MO).
I am curious as to what you did to resolve the flats....towed? spare? or what? A big concern of mine of is getting stuck in the middle of nowhere without a solution since it has no spare. Thanks in advance for your reply.
I am with Jamie, Phantom Braking scares the bejeebers out of me. Don't understand why a premiere software company like Tesla cannot fix this after so many years.
I just bought a Model Y long Range and with just Auto Pilot. My only question is, how often does Phantom Braking happen at lower speeds like 40-50 mph???? Not this high speed Freeway driving like I see most doing.

(-17 deg worst I ever saw whew) and most everything of note is 2 hrs away so I need LR n duel motor, can’t wait for project Highland for the Model 3 I think that checks all the boxes for me, right now I feel the Y is ahead of the 3 (but it will catch up soon) however I saw a LRM3 w/FSD 2022 w/20k miles for $49k and if I had it I would have pulled the trigger, waiting 4 ma stock to go up :) love the show…peace
I have the exact same car! But made in Shanghai, as I am in The Netherlands, and its a little older, from september 2021.. I love my Model Y, it is holding up so well.
I do not have this range decline issue btw, battery degraded about 6%, so 94% left, which is pretty good!, when I charge 100% it shows 480Km, which is about 300 Miles of range. My model Y was before the range boost, so it was advertised to me as 507Km which is 315 Miles (WLTP), well I never have seen 507Km
Maybe you have a bad battery, so maybe you are eligible of having it replaced under warranty. 232 miles versus 330 miles is alrady down to about 70%
We've had our Tesla Model Y 2023 since August, and it's only done phantom breaking two times.
We live in Europe, so no FSD, only the standard autosteering.

Put psi tire to 47 psi, I think it helps. Also buy tires based on range in forums.

I have not had one Phantom brake issue in over a year now. Both my seat controls, plastic framing came loose my only issue. Only thing I hate, is on a 55 mph hwy in self drivingI can only go over 5 mph= 60 mph.. Same with 65 =70 but 70 one I can go way over ?????

My biggest issue is the 23 no longer has parking sensors and the park assist is terrible without them. Other than that only thing I’d like to see is a power Frunk Add on from Tesla not an aftermarket
Be patient. I have a 23 and it works fine. Each update that lands it seems to get even better.
@@ron2280 I definitely believe in the updates with software, the issue is that there are parts of the vehicle that need to be addressed like objects that cannot be seen by the cameras. No amount of software updates Will correct that. A recall is needed so that it can be fitted with sensors that can see this or additional cameras
The 23 that I have and ones that I have driven all have the same issue they cannot see objects that are close to the ground. Below the hood line The system also seems to have trouble with cross traffic as it doesn’t seem to pick it up. Hopefully this will improve with a software update.
@@bjk6574 it'll be okay. Those with older models with the sensors won't have an advantage. In the Tesla Vision programming, the sensors will eventually be deactivated. I have no trouble with close items because I've driven cars for several decades and I can learn where my corners are until they get Tesla Vision perfected.

You know that the EPA range you keep bringing up is based on driving at 60 miles per hour for highway, so why would you expect to get that range when your driving at 79? So if you have a lead foot and like to go 89 would you still expect to get the EPA rated range? There are other factor that contribute to lower range caused by inclement weather or driving in the winter. The EPA rated range is not a number that encompasses all conditions or even everyone's unique driving styles or preferred highway speed. Next time you mention the Tesla coming up short on the EPA range you should also mention the out of norm conditions like weather or your higher drive speed over EPA testing. I think your problem is with the EPA since they don't test EV like the way your like to drive..
The rise in phantom breaking is pretty disappointing likely due to the radar removal and disabling, basically making it terrifying just to use a basic feature
