All I have to do is provide my perks account number to my account manager and my rates are way lower than the average weekly rate. 😮 This also works well for me because I just started the process of fully getting my authority as a Freight Broker. My husband and I are going to start out with a rental and then work our way up. We are both making money and winning. At the end of the day when you’re doing your research and making the right moves renting a Box Truck don’t sound too bad.
#4 is a strong one loads not brought back home takes a big chunk of you profit but it’s very hard to bring back home unless your willing to camp out there

Imo, another 2 keys is personal and business credit. That personal credit card debt can kill ya net also. What you paying off is taking from ya profit. As for business credit man, 90% of box truck owners I come across have no business credit. Killing themselves.

I had a enterprise truck break down, and they didn’t replace the truck as promised in the contract. Their truck was in the shop for 2 weeks, I had a $4.4K load repowered, and got charged $1K fee for that by the broker. Just voluntarily revoked my authority because I wasn’t able to recover from being out of a truck for those two weeks. If anyone can point me in the direction of a good breach of contract lawyer for this situation, I would appreciate it! If these rental companies aren’t replacing a broken down truck, especially with a load, then something is not right.

I've had a couple of dispatchers starting out. Best advice is to find a good one if you don't want to book your own loads.
