As a dispatcher, am working with mostly new MC nowadays. What I recommend is doing OTR, in a week you can make $50000 and more doing OTR. If you are paying dispatcher a fee that's for giving you a load and not wasting your day. If somebody is failing that thing you should consider another dispatch company. For me I see Box Truck as a golden opportunity. You will not see rate differences in 53ft Van with a box truck, it's barely a difference now.

Well…I’m just asking cause I booked a load through arcbest/panther load board for 240 miles for $250, I have a sprinter van. I asked the shipper and he said he paid $290 all together, so I take it the broker made $50 off the deal. You think that accurate?
Hey you always have that info. I’m a new NC authority. What is the best insurance for new Authorities our only hold up. We got lucky that we have a recruiter that we have to contract already
The best insurance companies won’t insure a new authority that is why progressive has the market in a choke hold because they’ll insure almost everyone at a hefty premium. I’m still negotiating with companies that can actually help new carriers ✌🏾
The one company they won’t accept lol but we were able to find one that covers all the requirement limits with Direct and only 600 a month. We gonna be local to Raleigh to our issues was the cargo limits. But thanks for being a new authority advocate. ❤️

Yes, because I did. My husband was already on his job as an employee though. He just switched to a contract driver and all that was required was a dot. This was years ago. Knowing what I know now, I definitely would’ve gotten the MC number because we had to have insurance to start up anyway. We paid a third party to set up our dot which is free.
