Loved your video, Malcolm. I'm also considering to start up my transport business as well and found this video super helpful. Great find with the truck man for only 1200 and being in pretty much excellent condition.
With all the nonesense working under people that want to rip me off, I figure now its the time to start venturing out starting my business. I know its a challenging feat and a lot of work involved to get going, but I know in the end it pays off. Thanks for the insight, man. And I wish you the best on your business journey!

I own 2 laundromats in low income areas. I work about 25 hours a week and gross about 240K a year. whilst working with an advisor like Julianne Iwersen Niemann. I used to work in Sears repairs,, so I saved money by fixing my own machines. Believe it or not, the soap detergent vending machines bring in a good amount as well. Trust me starting and maintaining a profitable business starts with properly managing your finance.

Laundromats are easy to operate...I know this lady you mentioned. I bought a laundromat from a friend many years ago who retired overseas. Repairs are costly. Try to at least learn the basics. I have bill acceptor machines to exchange for tokens, much better than counting and hauling quarters . My locations are near low income housing and apartments, which are very good for business.

I owned 3 laundromats in SF. The biggest 3 issues? The Lease, the lease and the lease. Got screwed by two owners that didn't renew the lease. If you own the building, different story. Probably, it will not be bad to work with your advisor

Trying to do this as a stepping stone to my box truck business!
Figure it will help me build my DOT/MC Authority age (since many box truck shippers want to see 3-6 months of commercial insurance on your authority).
After 6-8 months of saving and building my brand and networking with shippers, I plan to buy a non-CDL box truck, hire a full-time driver for the cargo van, and then drive the box truck myself till its paid off.
    Then rinse and repeat.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It was really helpful.

My guy you can make 6 figures. It all depends on the contract that you get and the amount of work your willing to put in. You have people out there getting $2000-$2500 per week using cars and suvs to do medical courier service or other courier services. The fact that you have a cargo van kinda put you in a better position cus it’s bigger than a car and suv. Just have to find the right contracts. Oh it’s local runs too.

Mannnnnnnn I just randomly came across this video and I started watching and when you described getting a good deal on your vehicle I thought "man it better not be a damn ford transit". I've been looking for a Transit for months and I'm telling you, that year & mileage and condition.. you couldv'e paid as much as 10k for it! Sure enough at the end of the video when I saw the Transit my heart sank. TWELVE HUNDRED!??! I've been wanting a Transit so bad and I've been searching everyday for one for months. So far I can't find anything worth a damn around me that isn't going to break the bank. I need one for cross-country transport so I need something with lower miles and the pricing is just insane. Transits are so popular right now because people are wanting them so they can convert them into little campers to travel the US & work remotely. That's so crazy how cheap you got it for! I'm so jealous it hurts lol good for you though!

      1 st question?
How do you know what they are asking you to pick up, Rather if it could fit into your vehicle 🚗 or not.
2.Also is there a way you can find out how much a job should cost 💲you so your not under cutting your time and worth??
      3. Do you think about if there asking you to move something illegal or not? And getting caught in bad association due to their products?

1200 isn't bad, but I got my van for $300!!! That's right, THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS!!!! Now, it has higher mileage (230k) and I had to fix the fuel pump and replace the battery. So you got a better deal, but my up front cost was much lower!

    • @MALCOLM12
      @MALCOLM12  Рік тому +1

Yea with 230k miles u will have a few maintenance issues to pay for as well. Mine has 140k miles

I value my time more than money. As long as I make a certain amount every month to lay my bills, travel, etc then I’m good.
