2006 Ford GT // Bring A Trailer

I can file away the Ford GT, just like I did Porsche's when I first started shooting. I liked them, but didn't really have an opinion on them either way. Now, I get them. I absolutely have fallen in love with them. I love all the cool retro touches they kept in the car from not only the original but the concept the showed the world in 2002. Its not often we see final production cars sticking true to their conceptual roots.
Ford got the design right and good lord did they get the engine note right. The all American Triton V8 rumbles to life with the most pleasing burbles I think I've ever heard. It's a raw, true to its heritage reproduction of all things blood sweat and tears. Truly a stunning car, front to back! It's no surprise their values have climbed over the past few years as people finally have started to really appreciate all that the Ford GT is. Unlike the second generation with its ultra polarizing design, the first generation reminds me of how simple something like the Mclaren F1 is. I say this a lot, but you don't need "all-the-things " to be extraordinary.
