- Today we hit Copart to check out the WILDEST car I've ever found up for sale at the salvage auction, a Ford GT!
But first, we check out a few other exotics, a Porsche 911 GT3, a pair of Audi R8's and a couple Ferraris (one real one fake...) Spoiler alert, the fake Ferrari was WAY cooler!

that car is a literal gem to the car industry with its history of ford racing the gt40 at lemans , you should definetly restore it

Me and 3 other guys built the stock exhaust on every one of this generation Ford GT, i worked in the prototype shop for Arvin-Meritor in the early 2000's, these were such a low production run car that we hand built them all instead of setting up an assembly line

Ford GT for sure. So many levels above any of that other stuff you looked at. It's in a higher class above all those European cars by several levels. Nothing above it really, maybe a genuine Cobra is up there with it.

Not a huge Ford fan, but you gotta appreciate the gt. a beautiful work of machinery for its time
I hate Ford every time my family gets a Ford. It breaks so fast, so only Fords I'd ever buy now is a Ford gt and a shelby gt500 cause of the name shelby

@salmonella6744 usually buy new cars, so no matineance is needed right off the bat. I had a Ford 250 towed a trailer with it the 2nd day I had it the axle broke on it so I got it fixed and when I got it back it still was crap so traded in back in for another one like a month later and that one had some electricity issue after about 2 months having it

That Ford GT was the same one the goonzsquad boys were bidding on in one of their recent videos. It went for $171K but not to them. They said it would be a hard rebuild because of the damage and parts costs (if they can even be found)
you definitely should buy that gt40, it can be an awesome youtube project, like Tavarish's McLaren P1!
Toggle switches on the dash look sick. Too much damage though for me!

The outtakes at the end = PRICELESS! I will say, I was fortunate enough to go to the Chicago auto show in 2005 when the new mustang and got to sit in the then all new Ford GT. I agree, it a thing of beauty then as well as today. That body style has aged like fine wine.
I wonder if that gt40 had a danger to manifold warning before the passenger floor fell out

rebuild and restore, modify and keeppppppppp the amount of content u can do with this car is amazing u can literally twin turbo this and take it for a drag race and track days

Was the car stolen?
@@scraplifegarageno, my friend and his wife were taking this car out for a drive when a stolen car rear ended them during a police chase in Dover. It happened in July.
Sucks the car got taken out that way. Hope everybody was ok and the GT was properly insured. Seems like a pretty cool dude.
@@DrunkTalk Frank had minor injuries but his wife has more serious ones, nothing life threatening. After battling with insurance it finally worked out well. He got a nice Corvette C8 which I’ll be featuring on my channel soon.

You should be carrying a portable power jumper and some sort of MUTEL OBDII handhelds to check beyond visible damage; specially when there are pieces might be stolen or swapped like what happened with this gorgeous GT3RS
Considering how Ford is picky about who they even let buy those, I'm surprised they haven't scooped that up the moment it ended up there

All the cars where sick, that gt3 rs is my dream, but the r8’s are sick and the ford gt is just gorgeous. I think that Ferrari replica is really cool looks like it was well done.

I helped rebuild a GT back in 08 the door weather strip was like 7k back then and they were hard to get. But it was a very fun and very fast car .
I cannot find the BAT auction for the Ferrari...builder was quality control manager for Corvette at BWG. There was a video that showed what went into the build-quite impressive. It was at Amelia this spring parked next to a real California. Mostly ZO6 drive line... a real work of mechanical art. Sad to see it at Copart.
Dalt did you look at the booking the trunk? Anyone that took that kind of time to document their build but it in the book.
I finally saw a coparts in north Alabama while traveling , if I hadn't been watching this channel, I would have no idea who they were, lol

You are so lucky to be allowed into a copart yard to view vehicles you might purchase, my local copart does not allow prospective buyers in to view, we have to take a massive risk when buying from copart, that big risk has encouraged me to shop elsewhere, where charges are unbelievably low and the stock can be viewed without any trouble.

Mentioned the rear was flawless but there is a huge dent with crease on the rear drivers trunk area at 1:02 Edit,,,,,,,,,,, then they noticed later on lololoo

That GT seems like it got air, probably went nose up and hit left rear first. Then slammed down on front right.
reminds me on my Pirelli experience: those, as made for boiling Italian asphalt, hardly ever held track properly only some 1000kms up north of mid-Italy, and peace only came in again after having had them replaced by some Dunlops

At Copart, do they allow you to connect to the data port of the car to look for error codes?

I thought all FF Ferrari's had a 6.3 v12
Don't forget about all of the undercarriage damage from the loader forks.
Had the priviledge of riding in a twin turbo GT in those exact colors several times.

SLC makes an improved version of the 04-06 GT. You can get everything including a carbon fiber body from them. All parts available identical or improved. Funny enough for a super rare car, would be cheaper to fix than a Huracan.
At Mecom Action or Barrett Jackson cars with salvage titles generally sell for way less. It is hard to get a seriously damaged car right. That makes it difficult to make a profit off a salvaged car unless you cut corners.

the gt3 rs is for me one of the ultimate cars and one of the best sounding engines there is, so yes it does sound miles better than the r8 engine

@@Christofo that was about 1 car (the replica) and was a previous sale price (not from the salvage lot here). other youtubers put the price sold of the salvage lot on the screen at the end of the part that they are talking about the car in the video. really makes it better as a piece imo.

@@Christofo ok - some of them covered but the format as described in the other videos is far better - show the price achieved at the end of the point of covering each car. far better than mentioning some car from 25 minutes ago in the video without maybe even showing it again...

I would only buy the Ford GT if you can get if for REALLY cheap, and there's no twisting/bending in the frame or body. If you do buy it though, I would love to see it get restored and put back on the road.
