I can tell you from personal experience, everything Kat said is 100% true. I was there in the beginning and watched Kat grow from a full time nurse to a full time reseller and UA-camr. Mom, wife, business owner, raising a family AND giving back to the reseller community, she does it all. When people say "you can't make that much money in a year", that's true. Some people are not cut out for this business and should move along. BUT, if you have good mentorship, good sources and the SKILL to resell, you can do it. Kat is the hardest working woman in the reselling community and I am very proud of her!
You have so very much inspired me that at 71years old I have taught myself eBay and in seven weeks I have sold $2700.00 and still have over 750 items listed. I really want to thank you so much for making me believe I myself.
Kat you're my spirit animal! 😊I tried for 5 years to have a child. We lost a baby in our second trimester. We went on to adopt two children both at birth. They are not biologically related. They are both now in there 20's. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!!
@exoduszusag8995 we adopted our daughter as well - she was 5 days old when her birthmother blessed us with her on Christmas Day - She is about to be 35! She is our one and only - didn't think we could love another as much as we love her!

Have you ever looked in to MTHFR mutations? For yourself or your son? I know those with these mutations tend to have more pregnancy issues, clotting issues and many other co morbidities... Just a heads up in case. About 40 percent of us have at least one bad copy. Even if someone does have a bad copy or two..they may not be affected. Thanks for sharing your story!

Thank you for sharing! I know I’ve mentioned to you before that I’m a nurse and still working, but started reselling as a side hustle in 2023. I had over $10,000 in sales my first year! What?! I couldn’t even believe it. I’m on track to have well over $12,000 this year. I have a handful of you-tubers such as yourself that I watch consistently to keep current and learn from. I will retire in just under 8 years and hope to use my reselling as a supplemental income. The important thing for me is that I LOVE doing this. It is fun and exciting! Never Never Never Ever give up! 77 now and been selling on Ebay for more than 20 years off and on not made a whole lot of money but have enjoyed the journey! The "Sellers" nowadays are "Top-Notch!" Including "Nurse Flipper!" They have "ALL" changed so many lives! Praise God from Whom All Blessing Flow! God's Blessings!

@@Seawind-fr3kw at the moment I'm very selective due to limited space in my apt. I search thrift stores and estate sales. I look for small items that resell high for me, such as vintage eyewear, vintage jewelry, and odd items to keep my ebay buyers coming back to my store. There are times that I'm fortunate when a thrift store overlooks pricing an item. Latest was a pair of earrings they had tagged for $3.99. They didn't see the 14k stamp. They were embellished with diamonds. They must of thought they were rhinestones.

Items that don't take space with high profit margin: vintage sunglasses/eyewear/eye frames, quality vintage jewelry, odd retro finds, vintage/antique coins. I would say to think "outside the box" when your hunting for your items to resell. As an example I bought an antique token dated 1886 from the Tombstone Brothel (Arizona) for $4 at an estate sale, it sold for $85.
I’m glad you point out to people that it can be done from home. I’m legally blind and have MS therefore I can’t drive anymore. If I can do this anyone can and there are lots of people in similar situations.
Hi Kat, I've been selling vintage linens and more on eBay for around six months now and your channels have been such an encouragement and resource for me. Thank you so much. I have wanted to start a business for years but lacked the confidence. In December of 2022 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and once my treatment was over and I felt strong enough it was time to do the things in my life I had been afraid of! I started eBay in February and have been growing ever since. ❤

People ask "do you really make money on ebay" - My answer is always "when you work, you get paid" - just like any other job - I love Rachel Stricklands motto "Treat your business like your business"! Loved hearing your story. Remember - do not EVER listen to anything negative. There is no room for haters. I am so sorry to hear about your infertility issues. You being a nurse will know what I am about to say...I had 5 miscarriages and 4 tubal pregnancies. Yes 4 tubals, I just kept trying. I was a medical transcriptionist. I still remember doing transcription on a woman who was on pregnancy #15, all not wanted and all alcohol fetal babies. I had just got back to work after having had my 3rd tubal pregnancy. Needless to say, I was heartbroken. Long story short - I adopted 3 kids through the foster care system, siblings. They were 7, 5, and 6 months. They are now 30, 28, and 23. I am so happy for you that Dalton is a happy, healthy, busy kid. Oh, and he is so adorable. :) I love watching all your videos and I have learned so much. Bless you.

Kat a GREAT video. When I was forced to retire in 2020 due to the pandemic, I was scared as to what was I going to do to keep myself busy and supplement my income. Like you, I did a little on Ebay since 2010. I found the UA-cam world and found YOU!! I learned so much from you on sourcing items to sell, packaging, etc. I thank you from my heart in teaching me that I could do it and take baby steps. Kat, it is hard to believe it has been four years as it seems like yesterday.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your story here. Bringing a human aspect to what we do as a job, in life becomes absent in the “hustle environment” and we’ve all been taught and trained AND TRAIN ourselves to not let out too much personal information out there because it can do “xyz”. I think that approach is useful in small doses but also not practical or human. And reminder people- we’re human. We all have a story, many, many stories within one another. We all have struggled or struggle in many different forms and if youtube is a place where you have built this community, and that in itself gives you happiness, and peace then its emotional value! Having this channel is something you do as person who likes to be of service to others. It helps with the feeling of being valued, validated from being of assistance to others for these purposes- not financial purposes! Of course putting in a lot of work and getting money is a nice reward, but it makes me upset that people bring us to these moments; where we all have to justify our why, how and true intentions. As you’re a former nurse, it makes sense to me now that you’re not nursing that you need this platform to be of service to people and that is fantastic! I commend you on how much you taught yourself, learned and continue on with the grievances you went through and powered through after having your son, because any mom knows- post pardon is not easy!
Yes that is so very true. All of us have a why and a what behind what we're doing and there are so so many stories out there that are sad and inspirational at the same time. I think the struggles should be shown along with the triumphs because it's not all one or the other. I SOOOO Love teaching it really is where my heart is

Oh Kat what a lovely inspirational story. I am ever so sorry to hear about what you suffered..that would have been absolutely horrendous..thank you for being sharing your heart..I love listening to your videos..I first started watching you because my sister is a nurse too and her job is so stressful so have sometimes suggested reselling to her..but I don't think she believes that she can make even better money than nursing as a reseller and with less stress.. I have been selling on eBay for over 15 years..started with selling new items (giftware) and did ok but during COVID I switched to being a reseller of 2nd hand items and my profit margins are way better and I love it so much now..I love the unpredictability of what items I will find..and what profit I will make..it really is a wonderful job to have if you want to be a stay at home mum..

Follow you so closely. Am a reseller from the early 1990's at flea market malls, booth style. Did so so. Am also an RN sunce 1985, had my first baby at 30, 32 amd 33. Number 3 will be 30 on the 18th. 😂😂😂 had that teenager mentality, 15 months apart (#2 & #3). I too, had 2 miscarriages and then ruptured tubal pregnancy with emergency surgery. We all share many same life issues. Dalton is just precious and I enjoy him so.....his sweet little vouce. He has a great eye for good quality and sellability. I started re selling stuff around my house to eventually downsize to move. We only sell on Facebook Marketplace we live close to a big city that helps. I don't drive & didn't want to burden my husband with my business but he now is reselling too. I remembered how scared I was to start but so proud of myself that we started & I have sold for 3 years later its a great side hustle the live auctions never came back but we buy online sometimes & on maxsold its like indoor house sales. Some people are not cut out for this business and should move along. BUT, if you have good mentorship, good sources and the SKILL to resell, you can do it. Kat you're my spirit animal! 😊I tried for 5 years to have a child. We lost a baby in our second trimester. We went on to adopt two children both at birth. They are not biologically related. They are both now in there 20's. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!!

Have you ever looked in to MTHFR mutations? For yourself or your son? I know those with these mutations tend to have more pregnancy issues, clotting issues and many other co morbidities... Just a heads up in case. About 40 percent of us have at least one bad copy. Even if someone does have a bad copy or two..they may not be affected.

I couldn’t even believe it. I’m on track to have well over $12,000 this year. I have a handful of you-tubers such as yourself that I watch consistently to keep current and learn from. I will retire in just under 8 years and hope to use my reselling as a supplemental income. The important thing for me is that I LOVE doing this. It is fun and exciting! Never Never Never Ever give up! 77 now and been selling on Ebay for more than 20 years off and on not made a whole lot of money but have enjoyed the journey! The "Sellers" nowadays are "Top-Notch!" Def doable! I resell part time, approx 8 hrs a week. Last year I profited $6k, that's after cost, taxes..ETC. people have to put in the work!

I look for small items that resell high for me, such as vintage eyewear, vintage jewelry, and odd items to keep my ebay buyers coming back to my store. There are times that I'm fortunate when a thrift store overlooks pricing an item. Latest was a pair of earrings they had tagged for $3.99. They didn't see the 14k stamp. They were embellished with diamonds. They must of thought they were rhinestones.

I would say to think "outside the box" when your hunting for your items to resell. As an example I bought an antique token dated 1886 from the Tombstone Brothel (Arizona) for $4 at an estate sale, it sold for $85.
I’m glad you point out to people that it can be done from home. I’m legally blind and have MS therefore I can’t drive anymore. If I can do this anyone can and there are lots of people in similar situations.

I have wanted to start a business for years but lacked the confidence. In December of 2022 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and once my treatment was over and I felt strong enough it was time to do the things in my life I had been afraid of! People ask "do you really make money on ebay" - My answer is always "when you work, you get paid" - just like any other job - I love Rachel Stricklands motto "Treat your business like your business"! I have rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia and feel like crap every day and this is the perfect job for me! :)

Loved hearing your story. Remember - do not EVER listen to anything negative. There is no room for haters. I am so sorry to hear about your infertility issues. You being a nurse will know what I am about to say...I had 5 miscarriages and 4 tubal pregnancies. Yes 4 tubals, I just kept trying. I was a medical transcriptionist. I still remember doing transcription on a woman who was on pregnancy #15, all not wanted and all alcohol fetal babies. I had just got back to work after having had my 3rd tubal pregnancy. Needless to say, I was heartbroken. Long story short - I adopted 3 kids through the foster care system, siblings. They were 7, 5, and 6 months. They are now 30, 28, and 23. I am so happy for you that Dalton is a happy, healthy, busy kid. Oh, and he is so adorable. :) I love watching all your videos and I have learned so much. Bless you.

Kat a GREAT video. When I was forced to retire in 2020 due to the pandemic, I was scared as to what was I going to do to keep myself busy and supplement my income. Like you, I did a little on Ebay since 2010. I found the UA-cam world and found YOU!! I learned so much from you on sourcing items to sell, packaging, etc. I thank you from my heart in teaching me that I could do it and take baby steps. I am the same, so key is batching we do batches of 10, but maybe try batches of 5 where you photograph, the draft, then list them

I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your story here. Bringing a human aspect to what we do as a job, in life becomes absent in the “hustle environment” and we’ve all been taught and trained AND TRAIN ourselves to not let out too much personal information out there because it can do “xyz”. I think that approach is useful in small doses but also not practical or human. And reminder people- we’re human. We all have a story, many, many stories within one another. We all have struggled or struggle in many different forms and if youtube is a place where you have built this community, and that in itself gives you happiness, and peace then its emotional value! Having this channel is something you do as person who likes to be of service to others. It helps with the feeling of being valued, validated from being of assistance to others for these purposes- not financial purposes! Of course putting in a lot of work and getting money is a nice reward, but it makes me upset that people bring us to these moments; where we all have to justify our why, how and true intentions. As you’re a former nurse, it makes sense to me now that you’re not nursing that you need this platform to be of service to people and that is fantastic! I commend you on how much you taught yourself, learned and continue on with the grievances you went through and powered through after having your son, because any mom knows- post pardon is not easy!
Yes that is so very true. All of us have a why and a what behind what we're doing and there are so so many stories out there that are sad and inspirational at the same time. I think the struggles should be shown along with the triumphs because it's not all one or the other. I SOOOO Love teaching it really is where my heart is

I want to thank you for all the videos you do on top sales of thing's from your videos I have discovered that I had thing's of high quality and value just chilling in my basement a rug for instance I had no idea what it was and now I do and have listed it and made sure that it is stored better. ❤😊

Hello!! You are such a great teacher!! I have been doing a live show on Facebook for the last 6 years. I do sell in auction setting but! My “claim to fame “ is I do themed mystery bags. They love those. I have now been watching your older videos for weeks learning about the high dollar items. I started with antiques just last year as I felt I needed to branch out after 5 years. I LOVE IT!! And thanks to awesome people like you and George and Joslyn and Mike and Heidi, I have learned a tremendous amount!!

I am ever so sorry to hear about what you suffered..that would have been absolutely horrendous..thank you for being sharing your heart..I love listening to your videos..I first started watching you because my sister is a nurse too and her job is so stressful so have sometimes suggested reselling to her..but I don't think she believes that she can make even better money than nursing as a reseller and with less stress..
I have been selling on eBay for over 15 years..started with selling new items (giftware) and did ok but during COVID I switched to being a reseller of 2nd hand items and my profit margins are way better and I love it so much now..I love the unpredictability of what items I will find..and what profit I will make..it really is a wonderful job to have if you want to be a stay at home mum..
Yes it's so fun to find all the different things and find them new homes!

I’ve been selling on eBay off and o for over 20 years but just recently started to do it seriously I’m a little overwhelmed, but gonna give it my best shot. I was getting tired of selling crap so I started searching down what I knew would sell online only a few weeks ago and it’s already working better for me. I’m planning on working up to higher dollar items myself. Like you said you have to spend money to make money. I’m glad to see that. I’m on the right track. Also, you’re awesome. Follow you so closely. Am a reseller from the early 1990's at flea market malls, booth style. Did so so. Am also an RN sunce 1985, had my first baby at 30, 32 amd 33. Number 3 will be 30 on the 18th. 😂😂😂 had that teenager mentality, 15 months apart (#2 & #3). I too, had 2 miscarriages and then ruptured tubal pregnancy with emergency surgery. We all share many same life issues. Dalton is just precious and I enjoy him so.....his sweet little vouce. He has a great eye for good quality and sellability. Am very excited for your webinar as I have been wanting tp break into ebay selling. I have a cousin who has done it for years!!! Love your podcast, watch every Tues and the other videos. Kat you are an inspiration & you are so generous with your knowledge & you have been through a lot your story will help others not feel alone in that situation. I started re selling stuff around my house to eventually downsize to move. We only sell on Facebook Marketplace we live close to a big city that helps. I don't drive & didn't want to burden my husband with my business but he now is reselling too. I remembered how scared I was to start but so proud of myself that we started & I have sold for 3 years later its a great side hustle the live auctions never came back but we buy online sometimes & on maxsold its like indoor house sales. Thanks again for you tips & tricks.
