I love the details and specifics of your videos! I've tried watching others, yours is by far the absolute best. The breakdown and the initiative you take when making these videos is highly appreciated.
I just want to say thank you so much for these! CAAs aren't legislated in my state, so it helps to watch these videos. The more you post the more I get more and more inspired to continue building my application.. applying next March :)
Thanks so much for the video. I have always had an interest in the health field. I ran into some life challenges but I have always been strong. With all that being said I think I have found the perfect career choice for me I will be getting on this immediately. Thanks again for the video and stay safe.
Thank you so much for your videos, you’re teaching me so much. As someone who’s looking into CAA myself, I have a couple questions: 1) did you consider going the PA route while exploring CAA as an option? Why or why not? 2) are there particular CAA programs that are considered “better” or “worse” than others in terms of how well they prepare graduates, job placement rates, etc.? Or is choosing which program to attend more of a geographic/financial decision? 3) does anesthesia provide enough variety for you to never worry about doing the same thing over and over again till you retire? Do you ever wonder if there’ll be a point where you’ll ask “is there ever gonna be more to this?”? 4) how much flexibility do CAAs have in transitioning to work for VA hospitals? Let’s say a CAA wants to live in NY or CA, which currently do not recognize CAAs. Could she or he find employment at a VA hospital there without too much trouble, or is that not really a thing? Thanks again :)
great video. quick question though..how do you know what to give each patient? does the anesthesiologist tell you? Are you just suppoed to know based on your knowledge?
Hi! In regards to propofol's burning sensation, it is not necessarily due to the pKa. There is work from other researchers suggesting that the low concentration of propofol in the aqueous phase of the oil-water emulsion acts directly on a receptor on the inside of blood vessel walls to cause pain. Other than that, great work on the video!
Hi how skilled in math does one have to be for this job. Would I have to be able to do conversions from the top of my head for mediation etc? How often do I have to use my mathematical and chemistry skills?
Seeing your work station, the ease at which you work and availability of all necessary supply and technology really make me more interested in completing my A.T. training. ...just 2 cases for a whole day? Here, it's very exhausting.
Hi! The number of cases I do is different depending on the day. I talk about that here: ua-cam.com/video/revvi9NvQBc/v-deo.html Good luck with your training!
Hello! Is there any particular reason you use fentanyl in the majority of your cases? Are there any other appropriate medication regimens one could use instead to minimize opioid exposure and side effects?
Hi! I recently stumbled upon your channel and have been watching all your videos. Im currently completing my undergrad in Miami and am interested in eventually becoming a CAA! I'm having trouble finding shadowing opportunities here in Miami, FL. I noticed you mentioned you're working in Florida and was hoping you'd know of some hospitals that offer to shadow. Thank you for all your hard work:)
What's it like doing pre ops exams? I realize those can't be recorded but it would be cool to see how the thought process goes to decide what drugs and amounts to give
when you say 5&8 is that to the hours you work per day? are there different hours? and how early do you usually start per day? Thank you so much for your videos by the way!!
Do you know the diversity stats with respect to age demographic, gender etc? Interested to know if AA does or doesn't discriminate against older students
Can you please help me know if anaesthesia and operation theatre technician AND anaesthesiologist assistant is same course? 😭I wanna become CAA but My degree names at/ot technician or anaesthetist
I cover CAA and CRNA comparisons in this video but overall day to day responsibilities and compensation can be very similar. ua-cam.com/video/AREqWwfzwFU/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for these videos! You have no idea how much they are helping me learn about the field.

Awesome video! Do you prefer the 5 8 hr shifts over the 4 10s?
My schedule was my only option when I started at my hospitals. I will add this question to my next Q&A
Cool video Chabely. When you were completing your AA program, what was the typical schedule time? Like Mon-Fri 8am to 4pm?
ua-cam.com/video/E6ZwPnbnaGc/v-deo.html
I cover that question in this video but will add it to my next Q&A

Hi Sofia, DM me on instagram!
What's it like doing pre ops exams? I realize those can't be recorded but it would be cool to see how the thought process goes to decide what drugs and amounts to give
Yes! Maybe a fake scenario and then seeing how to problem solve?
Great idea, I’ll see how I can work it in
It seems the Anesthesia Assistant does more than the Anesthesiologist.
Good job it's complicated

Do you actually do the procedures? Or do you just prep for the Dr?
