So tomorrow I'm actually going to head to my new state where my AA program is, and I gotta say this really confirmed/reassured why I'm doing all this for. Hearing a bit of your job searching and finding the right fit is something I worry often. I used to work in a healthcare office during this past gap year, and I loved the coworkers there. I know being in the surgery room is a different energy, but I believe I can find an equivalent fit of the sort. I'd like to hear more of what you look for in the hospitals or anesthesiologists (and overall OR team) during your interview process and how you were able to find more positively synergizing group of coworkers to work with. Also you quickly mentioning that you're able to pay off your student loans (which was worrying me too) and STILL have your quality of life go up is something I am happy to hear!! Keep these videos up, loving the insight.
Hi thank you so much for the video! Helps a lot! I just researched the gasworks, and there are only a few job opportunities for CAA. Is that normal? Thanks!
I see 180 results, some listing multiple positions to fill. Others may be found through school networks. I'm not sure of your expectations regarding job postings but relative to the pool of CAAs I think it's great.
Hi it’s me M.ADIL from PAKISTAN. I I’m ANESTHESIA TECHNOLOGIST done my bachelor Degree in 2023 and have a 4 years job experience. Which country is best for a job is a ANESTHESIA TECHNOLOGIST?
Hi, Thank you for all the great information. Can you clarify what it means where some states were CAAs can work are " Delegatory Authority," such as TX, PA, MI and KS? please and thank you.
What do you feel like is the potential in terms of salary growth? Like is there a lot of potential for salary to grow significantly from the starting salary or will it likely cap out at some point?
Great question. Overall there seems to be a leveling out of the salary/PTO/benefits. But to me given the schooling years and debt ratio to the salary it’s worth it, and I plan on investing large amounts.
I have heard from other CAAs that the salary can cap out at 300k but this is rare and requires putting in OT. Without OT you can get up to 220k. But who knows what the future holds as the physician shortage grows and the need for anesthesists grows
Hi, what exam should I take to become a board certified? What is BLS and ACLS certificates? Is the MSA all what you have to do to get hired for AA or there are more tests and exams you have to do after you finish the MSA… Thank you
Excellent video! Can a ESTJ personality fit for this job? I feel like I am a mix of Extrovert-Introvert but a little more extrovert. I currently work as a hemodialysis patient care technician and I like when they stay quiet or are sleeping. Which is weird because I have great talkative skills and I love talking with my coworkers, family , friends . But for some reason I get drained sometimes talking with the patients too much or when they talk 😅. And I absolutely love doing procedures with my hands (like inserting needles and very comfortable with blood ) and when is quiet , although I got used to the chaos in my first clinic with a lot of people and patients .
Question...what are your thoughts ( and your colleagues') on the job outlook/ saturation of AA say in the next 5 years? It seems like it's starting to pick up and becoming more competitive, too....
Great info here. I appreciate you putting out these videos like you do. Was the transitional employment something you found posted online or was it during your rotations? Is it similar to a locum position since you were waiting for credentialing?
It should be possible to do research; I was able to with my BS degree so I don’t see why I couldn’t now. I don’t think people generally do that, but I had a student mention to me that’s something they’ve thought about doing in the future.
Hello, Thanks for this video. I am currently studying for my BS in Health Science and I am interested in CAA. How long is the program and what schools in Florida would you recommend ? Is MCAT or GRE required by all schools?
Is it possible to work in academia as a CAA?? I really want to become a professor for teaching others in the field at some point in my career after practicing for a while.
Maybe if anyone here knows someone that is a professor in a CAA school? Please let me know how they were able to become a professor to teacher others in the field.
This video has helped me resolve my career dilemma. I was torn between Cardiovascular Perfusionist and CAA. CAA it is. Thank you.
Same boat. Applying to several post-baccs currently.
Same boat trying to get to decide
Update to the map: South’s Orlando, FL program has opened its application cycle!

I live in California. Dang.
Lots of other great options for Californians! I really enjoy the channel nurses to riches on UA-cam, a channel run by a Californian RN.

There is a board exam that SAAs take that are enrolled in the USA programs to be able to work.

My school emailed information about it. It's different than locum but similar in the way that it's a temporary employment opportunity.
Hi can you do this and become an anaesthesiologist later on. I'm from the Caribbean, i dont have an undergrad yet but im interested in this
You cant really do that. PA don’t get doctorates
Wanted to ask if CAAs get to do research or is that just done by anesthesiologists?

Thank you for this video it was very helpful!! Could you maybe talk more about transitional jobs
I've covered it throughout some of my videos but the job sends out an email to all of the AA programs explaining what it is.
What schools in fl can I attend?
I have a map in this video:

The only way I know how is through loans.
@@CAALifestyle thanks for your reply . Do you know any companies that offer loans to international students ?
@@Abenatimah I have never looked into it myself, so I do not.

yes there are CAAs who are professors in AA programs! But also there are teaching opportunities for students in a clinical setting.
