- Hi to all! Here's the first of my from now on weekly uploads every Saturday. It's a multicam of Welcome To The Machine by Pink Floyd on the 1987/88/89 Momentary Lapse of Reason tour. The only song that doens't feature on Delicate Sound of Thunder or The Calhoun Tapes (apart from Echoes), I decided that it would be a good idea to use all the best footage from the MLOR tour and synch it to MQR's (Magna Qualitas Records) Complete Delicate Sound of Thunder version. Here it is anyway. Enjoy and subscribe for more every weekend!
One of the best Floyd songs ever!
One of a kind band, geniuses of many musical masterpieces, I'll love listening to them til my time is up-wonderful memories of my youth. Takes me back in time 👏👏✌✌😊😊❤❤
I love Gilmour sining lead but w. Wright and Jon Carin singing the lower parts / harmonising.
Thank you for this. I saw them in the late 1970s(?) during the Animals tour and described the animation for this song to others. They told me I was crazy or high and that there was no such animation. I feel vindicated! It was true what I saw!
Yeah this is what they would have used in 1977 :)

“In the Flesh” tour *
Absolutely AMAZING !!!!!
I was at this one, yes it was fantastic. Went to see them the next year in Orlando and it poured and poured rain, maybe that was why, but it was nothing like the Tampa show. Great memories brought back seeing this video...
Interesting to see Gilmour wearing headphones for this one. Lots of synching up just like the 77 tour.
whooooooow
this on psychedelics = AMAZING
This is great! 'Money' is only featured on the US edition of 'Delicate Sound of Thunder', while 'Another Brick In The Wall (Part.II)' is abscent as well, on both 'The Calhoun Tapes / Would You Buy A Ticket To This Show' and 'DSOT'.
Yes but they did it in Venice so there IS pro-shot footage of it. ;-) Also in the TV promo for the DSOT album there's five seconds of ABITW2 from Atlanta. watch?v=QqiqevPiQp4
Popeye Bonaparte Aaaah, thanks! Never seen that one before. Indeed there is the footage from Atlanta of it. In Venice they didn't show the Scarfe backdrops of it on mr. screen. This was the time when the lawuits were flying back and forth between David, Nick, Steve O'Rourke (their manager) and a bunch of lawyers, and Roger and his lawyers. David & Nick adding a pair of balls and a dick to the flying pig, so Roger had no rights over it anymore for instance, and Roger suing any promotors that would do the 'Momentary Lapse of Reason' tour. Ridicilous stuff! I'm glad Roger admitted he was wrong all those years ago. This was a great tour. Too bad they didn't do 'Welcome to the Machine' in 1994. I was only able to see them then and it was great, but this tour looks so much better.
SilverTounge85 Well at least you saw them! I'm only fifteen so the best I have is these videos. Maybe you saw Hey You which would have made up for it. Or seeing DSOTM in full is something to be envious of. ;-)
MrKayley10 I was 9 in 1994, but my father took me along to see them.
its for crying that W.T.M and ECHOES are not on DSOT live album. i love this both songs even when they dont play it perfectionistic. but this version is absolutly great and is more original than roger waters in the flesh version. a gain mr gilmour shame shame shame.
Thanks a million!
Fancy video!!!!
Damn Good Song Love It 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I would give anything to see that live on 15 hits of acid. You people who were there are soooooooo lucky
Bravo 👏
A soundboard recording of Welcome from the 80s tour.. Awesome! Is the whole concert available with soundboard quality??
Damn good song from Pink floyd 👍👍👍👍👍
A+! ;-)
Stockholm Globen 89 Yeah!
gilmour best work
Waaaaaaaaw
Uma pergunta aos fãs. A segunda voz na versão original, mais grave e baixa, seria do Wright? Acho bonito pq parece até que seria o Syd cantando (sei que não é), mas sempre me intrigou.
@Crisper Asi fue!
can anyone link me to the original animated video for this song?
It got removed because of copy right
