I got these speakers for Christmas and are holding up very well. I was curious and looked reviews on them to see if people still used them and stumbled across your video. They look very good Mike. I had a Logitech setup like this 10yrs ago but it was 5.1 surround and the sub had good bass as far as I can remember. I think this would be more than enough for most people and I'm thinking about getting something like this for my son's PC. Excellent review as always. I have Logitech Z313 speaker set (25 W, 2,1). For my room it's enough (very good sound). I used to have my KB, mouse and speakers with "Genius" brand, but they failed constantly (had to change 3 times KB and mouse, one of the plugs in 5.1 speakers broke and had to make a trick). I decided to go to Logitech after spending so much mony in several Genius devices. There's point of no return. My webcam, KB+Mouse and speakers now are Logitech. Thanks for this great review Mike, Kath, and specially to David for lending 'em.

takes me back to the late 80's early 90's BASS was king( jesus i am getting old)my car tereo was worth more than my car same has my pc souind sysytem cost more than the pc and i had no wife happy days

Great review! I've had these speakers for about 5/6 years now and they are good as new. I never get tired of their amazing sound quality (for a small bedroom like mine at least they are phenomenal)

@@freeair7292 I think it's more than enough to make me feel like I'm in the action when viewing content, but I added my on sauce to it with Realtek HD audio manager, and I think it's perfect. You can also control the bass separately to adjust it if it's too much.

Thanks to the legend D_8Ken for letting you review these. They look the absolute business, that'll rattle the bones of anybody nearby without getting that distortion that you sometimes get with some of the other brands. Cant go wrong with Logitech, especially with audio products. These sound like they are money well spent. Thanks for the review Mike and Kath :-) Get some Chase and Status on those bad boys and I bet it wouldnt be long until the Welsh started complaining !
i don't think i can recall a bad logitech product to be honest. maybe the c270 webcam but is was designed to a price so can't give it too much hate.
Great video Mike. I do rock logitech z533 little brother - z313 and no disappointment at all hence both them on a bargain. Shout out for Dave and wish a good use of those monsters!

I've got a really old set of these and they have been brilliant all the way! (never missed a beat so to speak). The audio quality has been fantastic over many years, with lovely warm and rich bass.
Now I have another location and I need a new set of speakers. I'm really torn between another set of the z533 or the z407 with its wireless controller. But the big bass sounds is more important to me than the controller. In other words I wouldn't want lesser sound in favour of a nice wireless puck. Similar price range too so I'm really stuck.
Anyway, the z533 is a classic as you said. Excellent value for money. My original set is white, which I don't think you can get anymore.
i think getting the same again is probably the safest option as you know what you are getting, unless you get them on amazon so you can try them for a while

Another great review. I bought this Z533 set up a good few years ago, probably around about 2016 for £50 (Special offer) from Currys. Still using it today, though I've updated my gaming PC from 4 to 6 to 10 cores in the same amount of time .They sound great for all my gaming and video, though of course not as good as my proper HI Fi... but then again that cost a hell of lot more.
Also using the aux jack on the Vol-Power controller allows another input ie a second pc.
Nice one! that is often the way with decent speakers, they last a long time through various pc upgrades, my current cambridge audio soundblaster four point surround kit cost me £50 back in 1997 i think it was and still using them today
Great review Mike...I have had a Logitech Z906 set up for a few years now and they too are an excellent set...I have them in my man shed and use for the PC/ and as a surround system for the TV.....I have a dedicated cinema room with a 100" screen and 4K projector and full Pioneer surround etc but find myself watching most stuff in my shed on a 43" screen and find the sound from the Z906 to be fantastic...loads of inputs too....I love the higher end Logitech speakers like in this review....keep up the great vids :)

@@mikesunboxing Cheers Mike...yes ..another reason I like my shed :) ...having said that even though I only have a small 2 bed semi bungalow the cinema room is not on the adjoining wall so can have that loud as well ...just save that roomfor the big movies now.

Alway found Logitech speakers to be quite good and used them on presentation etc. But I would always buy the Bose ones these days. Great video, thanks Mike.
i always wanted a bose set after going into HMV and hearing the crazy sound from the little wall speakers and i really should get some now i am older and less wise

@@mikesunboxing i was told by a stereo salesman, that if you wanted to hear highs and lows , buy bose - implying the midrange was lacking.
Just like TV commercial that was showing you how good their screen was thru your screen, but with sound! 😉But them being Logitech, I tend to believe you more than Zenith tv commercial back in the 80's😀 You always get good value for the money withtheir speaker, no matter the price, IMHO.
trust me they are both loud and bassy 😋

My Logitech Z5500 still runs great. It's been through so much and it just works. Even the led on the control panel works perfectly.

I still have the logitech x-353 setup. They are 15 years old at least and still kicking...I think I'm going to repeat with logitech because they deserve it.
Originally bought the 533, but the knob broke within a month and decided to try the Z625 (which was heavily discounted at the time) instead.
The 533 looks a lot better but is nowhere close sound quality wise to the z625/623.
They can still be had for very similar prices to the 533 and I would 100% advise anyone looking for a 2.1 speaker set to fork out the extra £20 and get a Z623 instead.

I recently got the Z313 and it really surprised me with how deep the bass is but Logitech says the Z313 goes down to 48hz (and it sounds like it too) while the Z533 only goes down to 55hz which makes no sense since the Z533 are more expensive and have bigger subwoofers

Hey so far the speakers are great, and the bass is incredible. However the sub woofer is playing little to no audio, do I need to put some wires in the remaining holes for the sub woofer to play audio?
Not that I know of but hard to tell without seeing it. maybe post a pic of the setup on the discord chat so we can see what is going on and D8Ken is online and they are his speakers so should be able to confirm the correct config
Thanks for the response, I just found out that there isn't supposed to be a significant amount of sound coming from the woofer, it's mainly designed for bass lmao

When turning on and off the potentiometer there's a short pop and crackle (at the point of contact). I've tried with just speakers (NO PC ON), its definitely a volume knob.

Dear Mike, thaks for the video! I have a question. I have an old synthesizer (YAMAHA SY77) and need to connect with new external speakers. As I saw, Logitech Z533 is a great option for me. However I am worried about the connectivity. My synth has only the classic big speakerphone output for connecting external speakers and I am not sure if there is an RCA adapter to help facilitate connection with my big headphones plug. there is a rca to 3.5mm jack i have seen which could then adapt to the full size jack i think

Hi are these warm speakers because I am a fan of the bass, I always want good bass but I prefer when the speakers have a good balance of lows, mids and highs. I'm looking for speakers that are more neutral but with good bass. Could you give me advice?

I´ve got this set of boxes installed. How about random noise when no music is playing? That is very disturbing to me. What do you think about it?
do you mean white noise? that sometimes comes from the source or it the power supply has a grounding issue via feedback
@@mikesunboxing it’s the sound from the speakers when you switch on the system and no music is playing. Strange noise in the line. I don‘t know if it´s the right expression. I‘m german and I don‘t know to express in english. My system is properly connected to my PC.
I’m using it with my record player. My room is small and the sound is good. Some people said is garbage but I don’t know is fine. I’m not an expert. Could be this work also for my tv ?
yes it should be able to somehow if the tv has the right connections

yes it can connect to prettty much any 3.5mm output
110 volt i think. Sweden and Norway and many other countries have 230 volt. but its good speakers.

Just did my open box and for some reason Amazon decided to send me a used set that doesn't get power. I did find in the Box though that somebody else had already returned these. Thank you Amazon for ripping me off once again this year like I have nothing better to do than drive 20 miles to the UPS store and then stand in a freaking Christmas line

Hello Mike I bought these and I don’t know how to connect it to my ps4, I thought that if I put the aux cable in and connect it to the monitor then it would work but it isnt

Made a fresh install of my system and now the speakers doesn't work any more, and Logitech no longer have the drivers available for download - ffs
no drivers required, so into sound and choose realtek speakers or whatever sound card they are connected to

I unplugged them, connected them to my other computer and they work perfectly, then I plug it back in the first computer and it doesn't work, but when I use my other speakers from the second computer in the first one, they work perfectly fine! I have no idea what is going on, but I just switched speakers so now each computer has a working set of speakers (different brands!) In any case, thumbs up given, and thanks again!
I got these speakers for 88.99 euros 2 days ago and they are very good but i saw some reviews that they had some problems with the right speaker is this still the case?

I've had it for 2 years. The subwoofer makes a farting noise every time I start turn it on for about 5-10 minutes. During that time there is ZERO bass output. So now I leave them on all the time. I loved them, but the fact that the subwoofer is dying is unfortunate.

finally I have this speakers and I really hate them! everything sounds like inside a box, there is no definition between instruments and bass and guitars sound inside water, it have a weird echo when you pause musice, im so sad now :,c hate them
i would check your audio settings, most people find these to be really sound and crisp sounding

My speakers make some kind of noice when theyre turned on and when I turn the volume higher it gets worse… it even happens when there is no sound coming out of the speakers… Does anyone know how to fix this? Thx

I just got them and they are garbage. Humming like a transformer just out the box without playing anything. don't make a difference if I plug in a cable, plug into pc or plug into a handheld device they just keep humming. Just a little bit of search on Google has revealed that this a common problem due to Logitech using cheap capacitors on power side of the subwoofer. Even when its playing music I can hear the hum hunder the track. May be they'll work for someone with low hearing or doesn't care about the crispness of the music. Not for me. Just gonna sell them it's driving me mad.
