Such a lovely podcast. Your yarn from Las Vegas is beautiful. Great to see all the landscape around Death valley. Thanks from a sunny but cold Scotland 🏴
I’m so glad you enjoyed it, Christine!
Another fascinating yarn journey. I am a thrower as well and have adopted the philosophy that slow and steady wins the race. At this point, I don’t have the bandwidth to learn continental and am content with my thrower’s pace. Best wishes as you master an additional skill. Thank you for taking me to Death Valley, spectacular! Truly an enjoyable podcast, thanks.
Thanks so much Wendy!
As fascinating as the yarn stores were the highlight of this journey was the rock formations and the dunes. Thank you so much for sharing an area I will never get to see in person. 🇬🇧
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
Another great video! Your sweater looks so festive and perfect for Spring. Great detective work finding that yarn shop.😁 I have never heard of Jody Long wool, I will have to keep an eye out. That alpaca wool looks gorgeous. I love alpaca, but I don't use it much so I don't recall ever having a donut form. I like to have a worsted wt project on the needles as well as fingering, it does give the hands, and eyes, a rest. I have always wanted to visit Death Valley, it looks like an amazing place, really stunning scenery. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Hi Carin! I am so glad you enjoyed the video. Funny, my husband asked me if I had dressed in “Easter egg colors” on purpose! That was not my intention, but I’m glad it worked out. 😀
Thank you for taking me somewhere I have never been. The scenery is beautiful! Your spinning looks so good- I am hoping to invest in a wheel soon. I have heard of Jody Lang yarn but never knit with it. Look forward to seeing your next video Melanie!
Thanks so much, Beverly! I hope you do get a wheel - it’s so much fun!
I just found you through this video! I recently moved to the Las Vegas area and I didn’t even know about the Golden Needle Arts shop! Thanks for sharing! I’ll have to pay them a visit! I’ve already been to Sin City Knit Shop and Yarn Over BC in Boulder City. It’s nice to know there’s a 3rd yarn shop nearby!
Yay!! I’m so glad to be helpful. Thanks so much for your note. 😊
@@YarnJourneys you're very welcome! 💕
Speed is more about the size of your motions rather than a style of knitting. Smaller movement the quicker you'll be.
That’s a good tip! Thanks!🙏
