Just turned 39, was paralyzed from the chest down less than 5 years ago and the doctors said i would probably never walk again.... I do 2 a day runs of about 3-5 miles each time almost every day of the week now.....God is great. And dont ever let anyone tell you that all hope is gone. We are incredible beings.

Hm, I tend to avoid using that word 'prime' because I'm 47 and as I get older I find ways to improve my diet and get physically stronger even now. And I'm always learning more about different subjects. If you're talking about pure physicality and energy I think you're correct about prime being about early 20s to mid 30s or what not. But prime can mean many things. You can be in your prime in your 50s as a businessman. Etc. etc.
Im 69 . I ditched the uber rides and began to walk to a train , then from train dropoff, walk 1 miles to ferry . Then 1 mi uphill , then 1 mi downhill after carungvfor a baby 3 xs a week . So im saving $ and getting in shape . I get up that hill and it feels great . 7 years ago i lost 100 lbs . I’ve maintained the weight loss, but COVID. Slowed my activity down . But, im BAACK!
I wouldn't know, I was a long distance runner in my youth. Same with swimming, I'm still a strong swimmer but was never fast. I smoked too many cigarettes starting back in the mid 80's quit in 99 when I joined the Aus Army for 9yrs then started up again from stress

Just a word of caution from someone who is well-past 29. I used to run on hard surfaces like pavement, bricks, asphalt, etc., and loved sprinting up my favorite hills…until all that hard impact caused my L1-L2 disc to blow up. Part of the disc herniated into my spinal canal and It caused early stage Cauda Equina Syndrome, which puts many people in wheelchairs. So, be careful…Just saying…
If she stays with it 30 years when you uave that conversation I bet she is still running and has fewer aches and pains than most. A body in motion stays in motion and a body that doesn't tends to hurt more and get hurt easier. There are plenty of people in their 60's who still run. Maybe not sprinting as much but I guarantee their distance and endurance run is crazy

I am a 86 year old retired US Army Vietnam two time wounded and then 14 year police officer. I don't go walking any longer other for the bathroom run. I joined the US Army at age 17 and went to jump school. I got out of the Army after the first three years, but couldn't get a job so re enlisted and that turned into 20 years. I don't miss it for a minute. The police duty was the worst due to much younger men jealous of my getting the promotions and their slow response time when I called for assistance, and it was obvious they were hoping I didn't survive. Of all those AH Officers nine have passed away most from booze.
Wrong, avoid running as much as possible the vibration in your knees from hitting the concrete, degrades the cartilage, it will significantly damage your knees over time. You can counter this by jogs on the beach or even better just do stair master for cardio. If you are not a professional athlete do not do this to your body trust me.
Used to run,busted knees and other injuries brought that to a halt,heart disease,cancer along with those old injuries have pretty well shut me down ,old now anyway,no longer really matters.

Yes, I am 48 years old and my body is that smashed up and broken I can hardly bloody walk, let alone run. Years of excessive over exertion on a regular daily basis greatly depleted the function of my joints and muscles. Being literally forced to overexert the capability of my body resulted in the massive unscalable incapability that my body is now enduring on a daily basis is like living in a nightmare that you can never wake up from. Many military veterans can understand exactly where I'm coming from. I served my country for ten solid years. I can definitely appreciate the fact that you have served your country too. Military life can be hard sometimes. Hard on you physically and definitely harder on you mentally. I can say that I am proud to have served my country. My body is broken as a result. BUT I am proud of my time as a protector of my country.

As someone who is significantly older than you, and enjoying being physically active, I also can strongly recommend daily bouncing on a mini-trampoline ❤. And walking. Also recommend a plant protein supplement called MAP, which I think is wonderful. Spero lo meglio per Lei! ☺️
Go to knees over toes guy and consume the videos. Then start correcting all the painful overuse that stems from imbalances. I was told at 19 both if my knees are shot. I live a pain free life at 43. You'd be surprised how much you can fix with bands, weights and a recovery plan.

That’s when they are able to balance speed, strength, size, body fat index, coordination, skill, agility, etc .. the best.

59 and I hate when people always lead w their age but here I go. Run 6-8 miles 7 days a week. Every day I finish off w repeats of a nice hill. 6-13 reps of that, it’s steep and about 400 meters. That hill has saved my life. Honestly hope I can do it every day the rest of my life. And I love to see who all I can pass along the way. Keep running!

Years ago, when I went through boot camp, We knew a 38 yr old PT drill instructor that ran circles around the young military recruits.A year later, when I turned 29, I was running a fast 1.5 mile beating military standards by two minutes. Running is the best for maintaining overall health, in all areas. Specifically for a strong heart. Regardless of what anybody says. It's the best!
actually, 29 is pretty old in this day and age ... the average is much lower than what you think it is at around 100 . Its more like 60 or 70 and most likely much lower now due to certian medical interventions.

Up to the age of 45 I thought walking was boring and enjoyed running. Then I started to slow down , now I enjoy walking.

I hated running as a teen, but I played soccer, so outside of that, it wasn’t my thing. 35, I just want to run and be able to, my muscles, my heart pumping, I want to USE my body, it feels GREAT. 59 and I hate when people always lead w their age but here I go. Run 6-8 miles 7 days a week. Every day I finish off w repeats of a nice hill. 6-13 reps of that, it’s steep and about 400 meters. That hill has saved my life. Honestly hope I can do it every day the rest of my life. And I love to see who all I can pass along the way. Keep running!

I’m 26, I’m not a runner or an athlete. I push my stroller with my newborn up the hill all the time no problem. 30 isn’t old, more like 50.

Yeah diré, You can keep training and be above the average, Even You can be exceptional. But the issue it's when You pair your performance with Your prime time and later on in the time your performance will be way lower.
That doesnt means that it's Bad, because not everybody Will or can keep a really good Life style to Ensure their third age it's in the Best shape

Years ago, when I went through boot camp, We knew a 38 yr old PT drill instructor that ran circles around the young military recruits.A year later, when I turned 29, I was running a fast 1.5 mile beating military standards by two minutes. Running is the best for maintaining overall health, in all areas. Specifically for a strong heart. Regardless of what anybody says. It's the best!
