Chateau gates are supposed to have gold trim...maybe you couldbuy a spray can to highlight thepoints on top of the gates? And maybe the x`s in the middle? Such a demanding public you have... never satisfied❤
As I was watching Ziggy guarding the beautiful new gates, I thought "I'm Ziggy and this is my chateau" (as Stephanie at Lalande used to say in her intro).
The gate looks amazing! simple yet grand!
Hot tip re cables, every time cables are installed in a wall or inner space, my brother takes a photo of it before it’s covered up. Then he prints that photo on a big A3 sized sheet of paper (and saves it digitally of course) as a cable map. Then you can just refer to the cable map every time you need to see where the cables are before drilling!
There is also an electricity wall detector. It is affordable. My father uses It before drilling, extremely useful 😊
Very smart.. I have tried to do that with irrigation ... but there are less references in the photo to tie where they are ...unless a tape measure is part of the pic...
Excellent ideas! Electricity detector and pictures while under construction recording the positioning… of course, they could look back at the video of when the wires were going in!

What a wonderful feeling to have planned for so long and to have it come to fruition so perfectly. I must admit though that I love to watch Ziggy superintend the on site jobs and to see him exercise his ability to be the arbiter of good taste. His noble stance in front of the gates at the end of your vlog says it all.

Whenever I hear Anna talk about Phillip’s measuring, I laugh. This was quite the intricate job, and it turned out beautifully whether or not Phillip measured accurately.
The gates are absolutely gorgeous! I also enjoyed seeing the mud-room in full use and lived in, which proves beyond any doubt that you ultimately chose the right color. You both have such great taste and I absolutely love seeing your progress every week. Izzy is now officially safe and secure.

Next episode looks like Philip is using a harness to climb a tree and cut it down. Can't wait to see what it is! I love the gate, it makes the chateau look so much more complete. Just stunning! It gives the right entrance and grandeur for such an amazing building. My guess is you are either 1. tree climbing to cut some trees or 2. You are doing something with the chimney/facades/windows and you are climbing at the château‘s walls
