Phillip’s transitions into the sponsor ad are getting more and more creative 😂 👏🏼
Does Philipp come with life insurance? That should have been part of the marriage vows.
😂
Omg 😂
🤣❤️
😂😂
Bawhawhaw 😂
What a beautiful well. Imagine the effort it took to build it. Those holes in the wall were probably used for beams for flooring to build the walls as they went down.
The know-how of these workman at that time is amazing. I am always impress by these kind of work and architecture, it was done at the XIV century !!!
Thank you for your comment! I was, as always, absolutely clueless.
I'm saying lamps, but I agree. They would have needed sturdy beams to heave dirt up and bring stone down.
Maybe they had duel purpose.
Yes the holes are called trou de boulin in french, they were used for scaffolding
Thank you so much to bring this information.
Best creator-made sponsor ad I have ever seen, bar none! I laughed so loud I scared my dog. Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
You can calculate distance by timing the stone’s fall. Distance = 1/2 (acceleration)* time 2(squared). Acceleration = 9.8 metres per second. So if it took say 3.3 seconds to fall, that’s 9.8*3.3*3.3/2=53.36 metres.
175.07 ft. for us in USA! Wow! And thx for the great Math!!
Crap, now I'm trying to remember the Order of Operations I learned 1/2 a Century ago.
The conversation while waiting to enter heaven…so silly! And funny, great ad. I loved how Benoit made an appearance to ensure Phillip’s safety.
I laughed out loud when your "fall" into the well turned into an ad for Squarespace!
Wow, another great one! Squarespace should pay you double for the heaven scene! And your relatonship with Benoit is the best! Also, it was sooo nice of that guy to set up that whole thing for you. He seems like a terrific person with a lovely family!!
Yeah, heaven was a long way for Phillip to travel just to get the right shots for square space. The man is dedicated.🤣😇😂
Yes, I was laughing at that heaven/square space interlude.
I laughed out loud when Phillip went to heaven. Well done! 😂🤗🇨🇦
He wasn't accepted in heaven ! =D
I was a little sad you weren’t able to go all the way down, but I glad you stayed safe! I would have had no idea about the hazards of the bad air, so good thing you had a knowledgeable team to help you 😅
I usually skip the ads. Tell me why i didnt skip this one! The transition to an ad is *chef's kiss*. Amazing video. Scary and enthralling. On the edge of my seat the whole time.
Glad to hear that! Thanks!
I was so sure that an inspection of a well would be the most boring thing ever, so for the first time I avoided watching a HTRAC blog for some time. But boy, was I wrong! This gave me the chills! Great video! Loved it!
Glad you watched it anyway! Thanks!
Same here! I had this video in my "watch later" for so long, I usually watch their videos straight away. Finally got around to it today and was enthralled! I'm not a fan of spiders, so I was avoiding watching it because I was sure there would be some down the well....I was right 😨😱 Great video other than that bit haha!
That initial part, where it's extremely tight, and Philipp squeezes in, was freaking scary, especially when you're a claustrophobic person, like I am! Extremely cool that you guys are sharing this with your viewers! It's like watching a (scary) movie, sitting on the edge of the sofa...
I start to panic 🤢 I've no problem climbing on/off my 2-story roof, flying in ultralight 2-seater planes & using zip lines... but tight spaces freak me out.
Apparently, I’m so claustrophobic, that just watching others in tight places makes me short of breath.
I'm glad that Phillip wore his best jeans.
Philipp... I take my hat off to you. This was, by far, your best adventure & funniest vlog to date and I absolutely enjoyed every single minute. 🏆."..and the UA-cam Academy Award For Outstanding Content goes to How To Renovate A Chateau" 👏👏 Brilliant, take a bow everyone!
Glad you enjoyed it
Philip reminds me so much of my dad. He would also tell the most outlandish things and people were always fascinated. All in good faith but he did get a kick out of it. He was the BEST. We always went on adventures, he was up for every mischief and had a wicked humor. I'm sure their children will say the same later in life and they will be grateful for growing up in such an eclectic,, loving, and creative environment.
Amazing! Somebody with the same sense of humor as Philip and Benoit! 😂
The SquareSpace ad was brilliant!!!! Another fantastic episode!!!!!
🙋♀️❤️. If you are an influencer, you influence people to be cheerful and cause laughter! The important things!😊
That well is SO well built!
Amazing to see, what an effort is must have been to build it!
Phillip, you are priceless. I loved the last part with the advertising for the website company. Merci for another great week with you and your family.
I love the begining of the video : "Before I could politely decline for obvious safety reason..." and then, Philipp in all his splendor !
Very interseting video. And the music is always a pleasure to ear. Thanks for sharing your (sometimes) crazy adventures.
Even the commercial is hilarious.
Can you imagine building that without modern methods? Even scarier than your descent, and that was something! ❤
Love that adventure-and your daughter was the 1st to volunteer for the adventure!
Great to see fellow Slovenians helping!
Іn September visited Slovenia
Very beautiful🌳🌳💗🌺
Love from Ukraine 🇺🇦
I would like to visit Slovenia in the future, everybody says great things about the nature, sea and cities :-) Greetings from Czechia.
@@slouberiee and they don't lie :)
I’m amazed at the quality of the stonework. That’s incredible. Kudos to Phillip for taking on this explore.
Okay, that was a bit terrifying and I loved it! You deserve every penny you make from this channel. So great.
You need to be really careful with these things, like old closed off wells or even old basements. Due to the lack of fresh air coming in, the concentration of harmful elements (even radioactive stuff) and gasses are high, making you losing unconscious and die. Dozens of people die every year due to that, additionally people tried to rescue the unconscious person and also losing unconscious... That's one of the first things we learned in chemistry at university!
Airing out the "room" first, wearing a mask and always having people around is important!
There are caves in St. Paul, Minnesota near the Mississippi River on the upper banks opposite the city... they're called the Wabasha Street Caves where famous robbers hid in and where a nightclub was built where they still play American Swing/Band music... kids go too deep into them almost every year... and never make it out... for lack of oxygen.
Yes. Watching this made me very nervous. There was a little girl Suzanne Gill, in San Marino CA, that fell into an abandoned well, running across a field in the 1950's (that area is now part of the high school). One can Google the story. They tried and tried to get her out. They couldn't get to her in time. It was the first "Live" Broadcast by KTLA Channel 5 in Los Angeles. I still remember this, so sad :(
Sorry, had wrong name. Her name was Kathy Fiscus. She was 5 when she fell down the well.
3 people in Bastrop , Texas just died that way. One fell in and the other two went in after them, all died from the poisonous gases.
Gorgeous well! Mind blowing to think they built it so many centuries ago. You did the BEST ad transition!!
I loved the way you incorporated your Square Space sponsorship. Very creative!!! Great production Philipp!
Glad you like it!
Always entertaining I love Philip's sence of humour 🙂
The pottery piece, the brick wall turning into a stone wall and the stalactite were amazing finds! This was so cool and we also had a Benoit sighting! Thanks for sharing!
The humor in this vid is superb! Same with the suspense and use of music, bravo! Enjoyed every minute of this vlog, keep it up guys. This was soooooo cool to see! That well shows some incredible craftsmanship...
This was a great episode! I always love seeing Benoit with your family!
The videography and editing made this even more exciting. Of course, the addition of a few professionals who can actually measure something always helps. 🤣😂🤣 Thanks for the humour gentlemen.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great episode. Square Space should pay you double for that ad. Gripping suspense on an otherwise normal UA-cam day.
You guys never cease to deliver. Great video! The cut to black and the splash was brilliant. I truly admire the talent and skills you used in the sponsor bit for Square space. The writing was entertaing and clever and the CG was amazing as well.
just love these two , they make everything so interesting ,and make you laugh at the same time
Slovenians!! I knew it as soon as I heard him speak. It’s nice to see that I’m not the only Slovenian watching:)
Birds of a Feather, Anna! Next thing you know, Phillipp is going to want to go to Slovenia to go climbing on your next vacation! That could actually be a really great video. Also, "we can measure again!" LOL!
Terrifying!!! You would never catch me going down a long, dark hole!! OMG!!! Holding my breath as you descend and ascend. Very brave Philip!! So happy you have an expert to help . Very lovely people. So good to see Benoit and his helper, good job he did to secure your safety.
This has to be one of my favorite videos you've done! So much fun. So many handsome men, too. 🙂
Glad you like them!
In the middle of a really tense and frankly scary video, you give us the most hilarious sponsor's message in the history of UA-cam. I'm never going near a well, ever again, but it was well worth watching... (sorry!)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Philipp, your bravery is astounding. Well done, sir.
I never thought a video about climbing down a well would include Bernoid. But I guess Philipp is just in deep love.
We are all in love with Benoit.
What amazing engineering. What amazing stone work . They were certainly pioneers in building.Well done Phillip for showing us.
So wise to keep that thing really well locked!
I do love Philipps sense of humour - so droll. Priceless!!
The segway to your sponsor was hilarious! The best one I've seen yet!🤣
Thank you for delightfully entertainmenting video.
The fake deop onto the water rolling onto the squarespace advert was too funny.
How on earth did they manage to dig such a deep well without modern tools? Really amazing! This video was really interesting and I would like to see the bottom of the well as well. Maybe with a go pro camera?
Phillipe is truly brave!
Hello from PEI Canada. You have a new sidekick.
Sooooooo funny! Matej jumped immediately on to your humor and Benoir.. of course allways the same! I laughted so much! The transition to heaven... pure fun!! Soo great done!
It’s always good to see Benoit and Vincent.
You are very brave Philip .
That is the best segue to a sponsor ad on UA-cam I've ever seen. Very clever. I hope you can find someone to tell you more about the pottery you found!
It must be great to finally view the well and confirm what is down there and how it was made. Knowledge is good👋
We were always amazed at the depth ouf our well next to our normandy home, but yours is a masterpiece of wellbuilding. Absolutely amazing
Wooo, i would put this piece of souvenir in some nice welvet and covered with grass top. Could be a nice (museum) piece in the Chateau. 😊 Crazy
Bravo Philipp! So good to see Benoit!
The Squarespace advert was the BEST! Hilarious 😂
Philip mon cher, that was absolutely HEROIC!!! And your Squarespace joke is hilarious whahahahaha!!! 🤣🤣🤣
😅
17:55 Phillip you’re very brave! Pretty spooky down there as you said!
Amazing. What bravery. My BP was sky-high!
Awesome video guys, thankyou so much. ❤❤❤
Oh my gosh, cracking up with Benoit greeting you as you ascended the well. Love the splash and the heavenly detour. Very fun and clever. The well is beautiful. Great family giving you the help and their expertise for you to have this experience. xx
That was amazing!!!! I can’t believe the awesome construction of the well walls!!!!! Philip is hilarious! Squarespace has probably never seen such a great commercial for their product!!!!! Great filmmaker Philip!!!
Glad you liked it!
Quite a feat, I must say. Beautiful construction. And, as I saw the SLO plates pull up, I felt proud. We're a tiny but mighty country. Way to go all around! Well done--that's a back atcha for the spider joke. That one had me laughing.
This one made me sweat! I really hate small, dark spaces, but thrilling to watch your adventure, all the same and see another detail of the chateau.
Really enjoyed this. I’ll say it again…you guys are priceless!
Phillip you are so funny with your DRY and SARCASTIC humor. The falling sounds and you in heaven , make me just split gut laughing. Anna found her match in you. 😂
So beautifully made without machines! It incredible what they achieved.
😅 Philip you crack me up. The square space ad was hilarious
Very good to see Benoit 🥰🥰
What a great adventure going down the old well. I know Anna was happy you made it back to the top without any problems. Best wishes, Kathy USA 🇺🇸
Seeing Benoit upon reaching the surface again really was a heavenly experience. 😇🤣
Philipp, you are so funny! Loved your heavenly "ending"
Hilarious 😂 great job everyone!
Philip, only you could come up with an advertisement like that for Square Space! 😂😂😂
The well is so much wider around than I would’ve guessed!
Omg……I had such anxiety watching you hanging in the well !
What a crazy adventure!
It’s hard to imagine someone building that in the 14th century?
Watching from Vancouver Island, BC 🇨🇦🌸
I was on the edge of my seat this entire video. Such a nail-biter. What an interesting concept!
You are a brave man…
The music fitted the descend….
Phillip you always have the best music! It really makes the video.
My heart was pumping watching this, you guys! Great episode - wish the GoPro could have captured a better quality video. Perhaps set up a track and lower a camera down with more light?
Absolutely amazing photography and entertainingly thrilling. Wow ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Always entertaining! That was amazing going down the well, good you had an expert lowering Phillip down. 🥰😂😂😂
Meine Güte!!! Sooo spannend, bin stolz auf euch! Der Film ist toll geworden!❤
A wonderful episode!.Scary, funny, Beautiful and inspiring. (Phillip's bravery, his lovely support team, and the ingenuity of the 14th century artisans,) And as usual, the music was perfect. : )
It is said that a good way to check for dangerous gases at the bottom of a deep well is to first lower in it a bucket with a burning candle. If the candle goes out, it means that at the bottom there is no oxygen.
Or hold the candle well below your head as you go down. If it starts flickering you're still far enough above the danger to get back out again.
No bad gases down in the well???
I would chicken out.. great job 😂😂😂
Lol great segway into an ad! This was a great video!
I have heard there is only oxygen about the first 5-10 feet of a well, then there might not be oxygen further down which is why wells are especially dangerous. The oxygen was used by organic processes down there. An oxygen meter is a must!
This was such a fun episode. The commercial was inspired 😂🤣. The well is beautiful.
Bonjour Benoit.
Bonjour et a très bientôt avec mon filous 🙏👍😍
@@benoitcompagnon5849 🤣😂 they are tricksters I agree
Coucou, bonjour bijoutwou
Oh my what a great segway to the ad. Well done
The walls of the well are beautiful! Imagine building that!
Creative transition from "falling" into the well to the heaven scene to f. the Squarespace ad. Well done! 😇🤣
Whoa! Check out that router bit set. Best machinery displayed today
I never been soo hooked by a video before hahaha
