did something similar, except that i lived with my parents. luckily managed to get my apartment for super cheap, and then put every bit of my savings into the renovations and furniture, it got to the point, where i had to skip a few months before moving in, so i could buy everything i needed and after buying the last thing (tv), i was left with 700 euros for two weeks, before i got another paycheck :) glad to see someone who isnt filthy rich doing renovations, hope ur happy with what you got out of it
I think your so called "Neighbours" needed excuses for complaining. I think they are just jealous that you are making money with construction. Especially with Your age and they did not. Just food for thought.
i love how unfiltered you were when it comes to complaints / time / money / rude neighbors etc, this was such a well narrated video. congrats on the transformation and all your hard work paying off! it looks beautiful
You have no idea how nice it was to listen to this and watch. No one ever says how much they pay for each step. You’re in a different part of the world but still. More people need to real so people don’t go in blind. It’s a gigantic project and you nodded to it. Thanks for that
Lol I live in London and seeing he paid £ 1 million for a 4 bed that requires a lot.of work he definitely overpaid a lot 😂 Buying in Notting Hill is stupid, could have bought 2 houses for £1 million if he bought in Zone 3/4 and commute time would barely be any different😂

My gosh, what a joy to watch this. You're a man after mine own heart. I decided years ago, that if a pimply school leaver could get paid whilst they learn some of these trades, a lady in her 60s could, too. My driveway has a new surface £250 v £7,500 All my painting Reno's are now done by me, as well as furniture flips. & It's fun. I'd stop at the intricate foundation work you're doing, though!
Wow! London. I worked in London and lived in Hampstead Heath during 1962. It snowed in London and it looked like a classic Christmas movie or Christmas card. I could have lived there forever, but my husband, at the time, who was English (and the reason I was able to work in England), didn't want to. He preferred California, USA. I was 21 or 22 and I'm now 81, but still remember London vividly.
@@usernametentwo California is a shithole. But then we dont jail ppl for silently praying on the wrong street, so i guess it has its good points. Bloody hell lad! Having first hand experience with large scale property renovations… this is massively impressive. The stones alone to pick up such a big project are beyond most people. The fact you are doing it now, at your stage in life, is EXACTLY the right time to lay rock solid foundations for success. 100% sub from me 👊🏼
My in-laws neighbour was EXACTLY the same as yours. They had a large rear and loft extension completed with a Juliet balcony overlooking my in-laws garden. Then objected to a reasonable rear extension that my in-laws wanted to do. The council came round did an inspection and laughed at their objections.
It's always hilarious with these types of petty neighbours in terraced houses, because they completely overlook the fact that neighbouring property plays a large role in their own house valuation.
I can see why your left neighbour dislike your work, they just felt jealous of its looking. Well done! As an architect, I admire your ambition and honest effort!
UA-cam decided to suggest your video to me. So glad they did. I’m currently renovating an 1830’s house in a tiny fishing village, and living in it while I do so. Although inconvenient at times, I’m enjoying the process immensely. Your home is lovely, good job you! 🎉
High five and an encouragement to keep going! I’m renovating an 1890s house and living in it. Lots of challenges, but it will be so satisfying when done!
Get proper sash windows in to finish it off. Personally, I hate the loss of period features BUT I understand when a house is so far gone , a complete renovation is the best way to go. You are a very impressive young man being able to do this.
That's my only criticism of your Inspirational renovation. Reinstating the sashes at the front would have been a crowning achievement. uPVC windows in an historic building are the absolute pits...
As s one one who has spent three plus years renovating in Notting Hill, I can tell you how ridiculous your neighbours straight off. Here’s why. You accomplished all of it in a mere TWELVE MONTHS! My renovation, like most renovations in this posh area take literally YEARS! I for one would have done what you did, but I could never do what you do. Your neighbours should be thanking you and overjoyed. You’ve added value to their property too, and did it in only ONE YEAR! Very well done. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💪🏼👍🏼
I live in the US. I’ve never been to England. The old house you fixed up looks awesome renewed. I’ve never seen a house like that before. Something from the past in the city of London looking brand new is so cool. I really like how the look of the old house blends with all the modern upgrades you made. It has a lot of character
this is literally insane. probably the BEST before/after videos i've seen in my life. your transparent voiceover throughout was super interesting. also so happy to see you've jumped up to 64K subs now 10 months later!!!
I really appreciate how you walked us through the whole renovation. I’m in interior designer who not only works for clients but also buys renovates and sells his own properties. I’ve never done a project to this extent before but I have done major hundred thousand dollar plus projects that I move into and then sell a year or two later. It’s been a very successful venture for me over the 35 years that I’ve been doing it. I can understand that doing a project In an expensive location has its downfalls, but the upside is this there’s loads of buyers when you’re ready to sell. Fortunately, in Canada, when it is your primary residence, and then you sell, There is no capital gains tax, a real bonus financially. You are so knowledgable about all the aspects of construction and where to spend money and where you can save money is really critical and having a successful project and you obviously are doing everything right. I’ll continue watching your videos for inspiration and also for sharing with clients who are thinking of doing a major renovation.
Yo dude I'm a plumber gas fitter from Cambridge and what you've done in that house yourself an amount of time and money you've spent is amazing good on you my friend
I work for myself as an architectural consultant, so know just how involved your project will have been from start to finish. You've done an incredible job, so congratulations for that, and bravo for your video too, it was engaging, informative and entertaining!
This is by far, the most realistic renovation video I have ever watched. The way you talked about how to deal with things throughout this video is amazing. Congratulations on the amazing build Sir!
I have no interest in London or renovation. I didn't search for this video but I watched every second of it. Very engaging and a great voiceover! Thanks for the financial transparency.
New subscriber here. My 13 year old daughter and I watched all of this video and wow! You’ve completely inspired her so thanks for this . Amazing renovation!
feel like you're my soul sister (I'm 30). I also worked in finance, bought a crap house in London and renovated it. Did it once and employed builders and lived in a rental in Clapham whilst it was happening. Second time round and I am currently living in my construction site... quit my career too lol. I've subscribed, looking forward to watching your journey
I have been watching every renovation show online for years, from every English speaking country you can find. You had my attention from the first, kudos to you and your graphic explanations of this project! If there's more, count me in!
for 22 years now I have been building my home, with a carpenter for the last 14 years, I understand the challenges and I totally agree with your philosophy about doing it yourself..we even made our own doors and windows with curved upstairs french doors...I look at it now (still not complete) and wonder what happened....your videos are an inspiration to those who have not the confidence...my was driven by a creatiuve passion, havaing a home was secondary...your dedications and the beautiful result was truly amazing ...thank you
Honestly, even if you do everything yourself, spending so long to build is actually extremely costly, when you account both opportunity and strict costs. Since you could have been living in the building for last 20 years. And goddamn, the inflation.
Hi Chris...loved the way you presented it. I am 76 and renovations have been the most enjoyable, but only because I have the skills to do most, but the top notch finishing you did was great. We from UK living in Canada for 40yrs, finishing our little house we bought in 2020. Understand where your coming from regarding neighbors. All the best Reg/Janet
Hello from America! I just found your refreshingly unfiltered channel. Truly inspiring… for people like you with a high level of construction/contracting knowledge & skills. Congratulations! In America, I am beyond excited to see the promotion of developing skills which seem to have been eliminated from our society. (Bricklayers, master carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc.) There is a huge need and sense of independence learning a trade which you can provide a successful career for a lifetime.
Absolutely love your transparency, it is so helpful to fully understand and also helps when planning to do something like that on your own. It is also so rare today that people are honest and share their true experience, especially including costs! Just amazing your work, big congrats, love it, that is an insane Job you did, yu worked so hard for this! Absolutely amazing!!
No words but well done! My family home has three bathrooms with linear and after watching your video I’m going to be that young girl changing the bathrooms without hiring someone but self educating myself and watching videos like yours ❤️❤️
I’m very impressed. I’ve just half renovated my (terraced) house and didn’t go back to the brick everywhere. And I’ve built a garden room. I wish I’d done this in my 20s or 30s cos it sure hurts my body now. Respect to you for the vision, courage, focus and dedication to this project. Seriously impressive!
Fantastic journey! EXHAUSTING!!! I cannot believe all the work. I KNOW it's a mother of a slog. I bow to you. You can be ultra proud of what you've accomplished! I was confused at the end when you weren't walking through the finished house but instead, we were looking at stills that seemed as if they were out of some brochure. For future reference, I prefer the out and out walk through the house SLOWLY, so I can appreciate all the extraordinary work you've done. Bravo!! Seriously.
What an enormous project! Fantastic end result though...well done! Such an achievement for someone so young. I have been renovating my house for five years now...five years of no kitchen, no washing machine, no sofa, bare stairs, etc. Absolute misery! I keep telling myself it will all be worth it in the end, but I am wondering whether I might die of old age before it's done! ;)
I have done it myself and know what it’s like. It took years of work on the house while living in it, working full time, doing overtime to pay for it. Just keep going slowly and methodically and you will get there. I finished mine in the end and later sold it last year then bought another wreck that I am working on now. In case you wondered why I am going through this again; I was able to buy a larger house without a mortgage and have enough cash to pay for the renovations. Good luck. 👍
@@jimh4072 I've done it several times before. I did it two times for an ex-boyfriend. Not that he ever thanked me for it. I even renovated a student digs and a rental apartment. Mad! I think this property will be my last one. I want to stop and enjoy my life after this. Good luck to you too with your renovation project.
I was hooked on this video showcasing the renovation journey of a London Victorian house - a whole year condensed into 30 minutes. The attention to detail and the final result were stunning. It's not just a home transformation; it's a motivating guide for anyone looking to revamp their space.
You have a good narration to go with the constructed progress. I like that extra effort which ties everything together for the viewer. As we're not all into construction, it significantly enhances the video rather than just a time lapase of the work progress. It's learning and entertainment at the same time.
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! As a retired interior designer I can tend to be overly critical, nit pick everything to drive my contractor insane in the past, but you did an excellent job! Congratulations 🎉 the taste level is superlative and I really like that you expanded to maximize the living space. I hope you live here happily for many years to come. 🍀
Sadly, I think teenage-me would have internally scoffed at you in my head as a labourer (not my view point now I hasten to add). Adult me has absolute mad respect for you and what you've outlined here. Staying committed to a solid and consistent hustle mindset, whether you're living with the hell of a terrible office job or the hell of living on a building site, is so powerful. Congratulations and keep it up. Also, the delivery of this video was very watchable - the narration over a montage works very nicely.
You can have no idea how very much I enjoyed watching this. I learned soooooooooo much that we never ever hear from people who talk about renovations. Great job. Well done you two guys. Really I have always wanted to know the truth. Thanks again. Cheers.
I’m a builder that has just completed my first London project for myself in London and I very impressed with what you have taken on and completed. Enjoyed watching your journey. I also have fallen out with the Neighbours. But I was working 12 hours a day so they had the right to complain 😂. To get it done in a year is nothing to be snubbed at! Where did you get your kitchen from?
What an Amazing Renovation. You and your brother should be immensely proud of yourself. Love you naturalness of explaining complex builds in a way that anyone could understand.
Dude!!! You and your brother(sorry if I missed someone who also helped) did an amazing job!! Your parents must be so proud of you 2. Hard workers, smart with money, sensible and freaking funny. Your narration through the video was so honest so funny and perfect. From Tennessee U.S. good job.
Totally understand your point of view. Done the same some years ago. People asking : who did the digging for the foundation, machine, ironwork, concrete pouring? Me my shovel, me, me and my mixer....😂. And my wife supporting and cheer me up. We both touched every stone used at least 4 times. And yes, some things are not 100%, but I know exactly why. So, well done.
Great narrative and video. Real professional and relatable. I would like to have seen a glimpse of your sleeping quarters. I can’t imagine moving a bed from floor to floor or having a finished bathroom before demolishing the existing one. I lived through a kitchen renovation while I continued to live on my second floor. Dust finds its way no matter how much you think you’ve hermetically sealed your living space. Not only is it filthy, it’s nerve racking waking up to a demolished home day after day. My hat’s off to you my friend.
What a fantastic job! I got tired just watching it. It’s so impressive that you were able to manage that work load in addition to a full time job, just incredible. I really respect how brave you were in attempting things you had never done before. Thanks for sharing this with us!
you are very good at presenting these sort of videos, theres a place out there for you presenting something like grand designs, amazing spaces or something new. We renovated my late muother in laws house, the neightbours were not understanding and when we showed someone round to rent the house, their daugther even come out and said be careful there been a tempted break in. Which was rubbish, some people are just out and out vival. well done for standing firm and doing an amazing job on the house.
What an amazing result, so inspiring! You mentioned you bought the kitchen direct from the supplier, can you share where you sourced it from? Would really appreciate it!
Greetings from the U.S. Whew, you uploaded this video five months ago! I'm a little late with my comment but, I just found your channel today and am a new subscriber. I must say, I am blown away with the final outcome and even more blown away by the amount of work that went into it. High praise to you for, what is now, an absolute masterpiece of a home.
Would love to know, 1) Would you allow the 'miserable' neighbors to see what you've done and show them what they DON'T have? (Or is that rude? LOL), 2) Compared to the other 'posh' houses in your neighborhood, how much would your home appraise for now? Especially with the added bdrms & baths. Thanks for telling us the HONEST truth of the good & bad, and when to hire or do it yourself. Stunning outcome. Beautiful!
Crikey, the skills here are off the charts, bravo! Also appreciate the honesty and the message to give ourselves a break if we get things wrong on our own projects. Whatever job you tackle for the first time, no matter how big or small, you can’t expect to get it absolutely perfect. But you also learn how to do it better next time. One contractor who helped me said to me, “The only difference with pros is they know how to hide their mistakes”. A useful lesson!
love how transparent and genuine your narrative is - I dare to say if you never built/renovated a house, you don't know what life is really all about (no other job/degree can even remotely match this experience)
Absolutely agree on the terraced house situation😢 they are a pain! What a loverly project you’ve maximized the potential of that house! Looking forward to the tiny house project developments!
Beautiful. Thank you god. Thank you for my Omaze house. Thank you for listening and blessings me with the miraculously means of finally being able to have my very own house, my very own home. I pray I, you and everyone reading this comments are blessed where our 4 walls brim with light, happiness, health, wealth and laughter. Endless love and good days. God bless 😊
Nice one London insane prices expat 🇬🇧 lives in Colombia 🇨🇴 built my townhouse overlooking the mountains $35,000 dollars and its cool and 20 min from a big city and grest restaurants everywhere mom and pops. Lovely Jubilee 👍🇬🇧 PS i watch Gand Design from my Balcony haha
I had to come back to give you some props. I was in the middle of buying a house that was in okay condition, but didn't like the location. I couldn't afford in the location I wanted. Something about the way you said people aren't willing to put in the work to make a shit house better made me dislike you because how dare you say that; you don't know me! And so it stuck with me. I am now buying a shit house in the location I wanted and I don't think I will regret it; in about 3 years when the renovation is finally over, anyway! So thank you!
congratulations on an amazing transformation. You have achieved so much in 7 months! Building costs and cost of housing are "insane" here "down-under" as well.
Beautiful work! Can't believe you managed to do all that work in 7 months!! That's insane!! Would love to know how much the house is valued at now that you've renovated it!
Respect to you sir! I've done this myself and it is a hard, difficult and dirty process - the difference I had was my wife and new born were living in the mess during the renovation...but we made it and you're absolutley right that it massively increases your equity and gives you that leg up financially. It'll make you or break you!
My hubby thinks you must be a son he didn't know about! He loves you. Your attitude to work getting a good deal etc is at one with his. We have between us built block of flat renovated ancient cottages lived in a bungalow which we turned into a house like you used tin lid on top and acrow props everywhere!! Taken down chimneys too what a mess. I spent a 70 mile an hour storm with the tin lid on and the sheets flapping with my head under the pillow scared to death! ❤️ love what you did with the London house. HUZZAH. From two retired inveterant renovaters/builders.
Randomly came across this video. Saw it from start to finish. Really pleased and inspired by it. Really, really impressive. Give me a shout next time you do a project I will come and do a day or 2 free labour with u. Good work, great tag team with the bro. I found this video 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Awesome work mate! I'm currently renovating a 5 bed mid-terrace myself so I appreciate just how much effort goes into the stuff you don't see. I'm also doing the plastering and have got good at it so it's saving more money but costing more time. Well done on the result 👍🏻
@@isabella6075 it's going really well, thank you. It's consumed my life though I must admit. I'm moving in at the end of the month to finish things off. The plastering has taken the most time. When I do another project, I'll definitely be better at completing tasks in order. I've been working too much on finishing the kitchen and bathroom when there's been lots of messy work still outstanding. On the next project I'll do all of the plastering then move onto the next stages, such as prepping for decorating and installing the kitchen and bathroom.
I have experienced multiple good property buys in the 12 years of my property investment careers in Hong Kong and Portugal but I stand in awe in the incredible work that you and your buddies have put in, huge respect
Thanks for uploading this, it was an encouragement to keep going with the renovation on my house in Surrey. It can be hard to stay motivated sometimes, especially when juggling a business as well! Very tastefully done and sensible choices when it comes to recruiting certain trades and haggling too - a man after my own heart! Enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Although the neighbour was absolutely being hypocritical, I must say construction noise from nearby buildings can really impact someone's life. I'm certainly not a morning person and usually stay up doing stuff till 2 am, but living inbetween 2 construction projects that start at 8am, make noise 6 days a week and for 1.5 years really takes a toll on you. I've never openly complained about the noise, but it really can have an impact on your quality of life.
14:39 totally can relate to 💩 neighbours, i had work done in west yorkshire on my new detached house, neighbours to my right decided to put bacon through post box and constantly ring police for alleged break ins into my property when it was clearly builders working. Needless to say the 💩 neighbour moved on and i moved into my lovely new house with one less neighbour problem. Kudos to you and your ambitions! Dont let no one put you off ever!
Thank you so much for sharing your renovation journey, it was informative and entertaining - one of the few videos I've watched from start to finish without skipping bits. You guys have done an amazing job with the house, and just alone hearing all the costs on top of your mortgage made me dizzy. Now you can enjoy the result of the hard work you've done.
Great video well presented. I felt your pain, the cost, the amount of work, the strange trades & people you have to deal with. I was in the building trade for 30 years like you i could do it all but thankfully i have just retired and people are still trying to get me to do plastering work lol. Building takes its toll on your body damp cold dusty heavy work. Just one thing in your tool list you forgot Shovel, Hammer, & more Tea than you can shake a stick at. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Iv literally just found this channel by accident and this was the first vlog I watched, I agree with the other comments on how refreshingly transparent you were with the whole project and funny!! You are such a humble young man, very rare these days! What an incredible transformation it’s absolutely stunning! Your Neighbour clearly has some kind of superiority complex, There’s a quote that I love ~ Tolerance is the calm acceptance to allow others the same privileges you allow yourself ☺️
OMG you’re absolutely amazing!! I love that nothing defeated you and your resilience to everything! My Dad died this year and he was the most amazing person at learning new skills and and building and we have done one build and i have one more dream house left that I’d like to build, enjoy living in and leave to my amazing 2 children …. So inspiring especially 1 year amazing …. Can i work for you and learn lol i can do some things as my family are carpenters by trade
Just wanted to say that I LOVE this video. And your attitude. How you went from labourer to buying a house in a posh area in London. Wishing all the best of luck to you all. You seem so nice, and it's great to see young people winning in life.
Looks really amazing, you did a fantastic job. You did an absolutely massive amount of work - well done. It must have been incredibly exhausting but what a result to be proud of. I like that you encourage others to do the same. It takes a lot of guts, time, energy and sacrifice but it’s worth it. My last landlord kept telling me to move out and buy anything and to stop wasting my money paying his rent, a nice guy who encouraged me to take on a much smaller project than yours! Congratulations!
Absolutely magnificent restoration/renovation! You did a beautiful job refinishing the furniture left behind and love how you used those pieces Bless you both your baby and your gorgeous home!
This is one of the best reno vids I have seen. I think it worked out that you did the majority of works yourself, as this is the foundation for going forward, this is how you save a ton of money and get the profit at the backend. But to have the skill is where most fall short, the benefit of your labouring experience, skilled colleagues that you can rely on to fill in any gaps, your finance experience I hope would have added to your shrewdness. You said you wouldn't do a terraced house again, but some more of these and that's financial freedom for life and generational wealth for you, your sibling and any parties that want to co finance. Just putting that out there, I was also taken aback that you were so young, with such a good head on your shoulders. It will serve you well in property development.
Got through halfway through this video whilst at the gym and couldnt stand not subscribing to this channel. Absolutely love this guys honesty and content.
Hi mate, just stumbled upon your channel and I've got to say its insane. I'm currently in the process of saving to buy my first home so I've been watching a bunch of renovation series and this video is by far one of the best. Keep up with the good work and can't wait to see more stuff from you.
I'm happy to see that 3 days after posting this video you got to surpass your subscribers goal. It's a great video and deserving of every view you got so far and for sure will keep on getting. Congrats for the hard work!!

How old are you? Mad respect mate. I’m 23 and renovating a house myself. It’s a much smaller scale but it’s great to see other people out there doing it all themselves. Good luck with it all
Impressive and amazing! Honestly I like how truthful and humble you are and to give people hope and motivation to not be afraid to do it it's very kind . I don't think you realise what you've actually done, just wow what a good work, ethic and determination, your parents must be very proud of you and your brother
I'm likely to never be in a position to be able to afford to buy a home, but love watching renovations and restorations. I really appreciate that you break down the costs, which so many just don't address at all.
To have this level of drive is inspiring. I understand how miserable renovations can be as I fitted my own kitchen and vowed never to do something like that again. This is just next level. Where did you get your kitchen from out of interest? We got out last one from DIY-kitchens which is cheaper than anyone else and quality is amazing.
Subscribe for more! Thanks for watching! And as always, whatever your upto just keeep going! U got this📈
Where are you getting a mortgage with 9% deposit?
did something similar, except that i lived with my parents.
luckily managed to get my apartment for super cheap, and then put every bit of my savings into the renovations and furniture, it got to the point, where i had to skip a few months before moving in, so i could buy everything i needed and after buying the last thing (tv), i was left with 700 euros for two weeks, before i got another paycheck :)
glad to see someone who isnt filthy rich doing renovations, hope ur happy with what you got out of it
also.... cant you do as much noise as you want, as long as its for a reason during daylight hours ???

The fact you are doing it now, at your stage in life, is EXACTLY the right time to lay rock solid foundations for success. 100% sub from me 👊🏼
My in-laws neighbour was EXACTLY the same as yours. They had a large rear and loft extension completed with a Juliet balcony overlooking my in-laws garden. Then objected to a reasonable rear extension that my in-laws wanted to do. The council came round did an inspection and laughed at their objections.
They probably complained because they knew how much noise it would make
@@KylieJonkmanBut of course these narcissists don’t mind making the same amount of noise when they first did their renovations 😂😂😂
too many jelouse people, so long they have the biggest house they'll never like their neighbours to be the same
It's always hilarious with these types of petty neighbours in terraced houses, because they completely overlook the fact that neighbouring property plays a large role in their own house valuation.
Selfishness knows no bounds
Just wow. Hands down one of the best Reno videos I’ve ever seen. No nonsense , just real talk and clearly, a lot of hard work. I’m impressed.
I’m always in awe of people who do these renovations themselves! I wouldn’t even know where to start. Well done 👌
Absolutely! Double glazed Sash windows are available.
Go visit the old parts of Philadelphia - I found lots of the houses there very reminiscent of Victorian terraces! (I think you call them row houses?)
this is literally insane. probably the BEST before/after videos i've seen in my life. your transparent voiceover throughout was super interesting. also so happy to see you've jumped up to 64K subs now 10 months later!!!
Same here, no capital gains on primary
Yo dude I'm a plumber gas fitter from Cambridge and what you've done in that house yourself an amount of time and money you've spent is amazing good on you my friend
I work for myself as an architectural consultant, so know just how involved your project will have been from start to finish. You've done an incredible job, so congratulations for that, and bravo for your video too, it was engaging, informative and entertaining!
For someone who used to do property developments in Belgravia/ Mayfair, this is BRILLIANT! WELL DONE MATE!!!
This is by far, the most realistic renovation video I have ever watched. The way you talked about how to deal with things throughout this video is amazing. Congratulations on the amazing build Sir!
it was the neighbour's hypocrisy that got me 😂. So damn relatable.
If there's more, count me in!
for 22 years now I have been building my home, with a carpenter for the last 14 years, I understand the challenges and I totally agree with your philosophy about doing it yourself..we even made our own doors and windows with curved upstairs french doors...I look at it now (still not complete) and wonder what happened....your videos are an inspiration to those who have not the confidence...my was driven by a creatiuve passion, havaing a home was secondary...your dedications and the beautiful result was truly amazing ...thank you
are you building a Catalan Cathedral to live in? do you exclusively work in summertime? what takes so long?
Honestly, even if you do everything yourself, spending so long to build is actually extremely costly, when you account both opportunity and strict costs. Since you could have been living in the building for last 20 years. And goddamn, the inflation.
Hi Chris...loved the way you presented it. I am 76 and renovations have been the most enjoyable, but only because I have the skills to do most, but the top notch finishing you did was great. We from UK living in Canada for 40yrs, finishing our little house we bought in 2020. Understand where your coming from regarding neighbors. All the best Reg/Janet
As an architect I am super-impressed! Well done.
(Bricklayers, master carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc.)
There is a huge need and sense of independence learning a trade which you can provide a successful career for a lifetime.
Wow, I am just flabbergasted. The amount of work you did in just a few months is amazing. You're going places!
Really appreciate how upfront and straightforward you are, it's refreshing.
So refreshing to listen to that! No frills, just honest people pouring their heart and soul into creating there dream home! Looks amazing!!
What an honest guy! The fact that you took a risk you must have hated your job .. I do not blame you ! Good luck to you in everything!
I keep telling myself it will all be worth it in the end, but I am wondering whether I might die of old age before it's done! ;)
U can do it ❤
@@kimsim6757 I hope so! Thank you for the vote of confidence. x
@@HouseFairyDIY 👍
This was an incredible video. No idea it was this complex to rebuild an old house. Thank you for going into such detail!
I had that model of cement mixer back in 1969 and they are still giving good service to many people, the company must have made millions from it.
You can have no idea how very much I enjoyed watching this. I learned soooooooooo much that we never ever hear from people who talk about renovations. Great job. Well done you two guys. Really I have always wanted to know the truth. Thanks again. Cheers.
really love the story telling, thats what keeps me entertained. not just people making sweet talk and normal commentaries
All things considered, 7 months is outstanding ! Well done and congratulations 🍾
The work you have done to renovate this house is mind blowing and very impressive.
The fact that you did this renovation while also working a day job makes this super impressive.
you are very good at presenting these sort of videos, theres a place out there for you presenting something like grand designs, amazing spaces or something new.
This is so incredibly informative, really appreciate the transparency. You did an incredible job!!
Lovely Jubilee 👍🇬🇧
PS i watch Gand Design from my Balcony haha
❤He's right. Buy right, do it up correctly, do it again. I've done two, not this scale, but one was very rough. Thanks for the inspiration!!!!❤
How’s it going so far ?
Lovely job. So when you say “go direct” for a kitchen - how do you find kitchen cabinet makers, who did you use? Sorry if I’m being dim.
Really appreciate your candid comments. Fine labor, beautiful results.
Great work showing the process and decision makings. Nothing feel like building your own. You get to know the house real well. Fantastic video.
You did a beautiful job refinishing the furniture left behind and love how you used those pieces
Bless you both your baby and your gorgeous home!
How on earth do you have 50k only followers??? Wow your renos are amazing. You should have close to a million by now 🎉. Definitely sharing
ohh you all have done a lovely job.. i love this house.. it's QUIRCKY..but i like when not every room is the same.. i wish you all the best.. god blees you all..❤❤❤ greetings from Costa Rica emigrated from Switzerland (swiss citizen)❤❤❤
How old are you? Mad respect mate. I’m 23 and renovating a house myself. It’s a much smaller scale but it’s great to see other people out there doing it all themselves. Good luck with it all
Incredible build! Quick question, you said you went direct for the In Frame kitchen instead of Howden, what company did you source the kitchen from?
Absolutely incredible! Your work ethic is insane 🔥 Can’t wait to see your tiny house all completed! 🙂
Bloody well done! Your narration is insightful and on point👏👏👏👏👏
