HI GIRLS AND GUYS, I GUESS I HAVE ANOTHER UA-cam RANT TODAY. UA-cam HAS TURNED INTO A USED CAR LOT WHERE THOSE PESKY USED CAR SALESMEN ARE AT IT ALL THE TIME! I PERSONALLY AM SICK AND TIRED OF ALL THE SELLING AND CONSUMERISM BEING SHOVED DOWN OUR THROATS ON A DAILY BASIS. WATCHING FASHION VIDEOS, SKINCARE AND MAKEUP VIDEOS ARE NOW A BIG TURN OFF TO ME BECAUSE OF THIS. THE OBSESSION OF MAKING MONEY AND THE GREED HAS TAKEN OVER AND I SAY "ENOUGH ALREADY!"
DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL THIS WAY??????

They’re called influencers for a reason. They will influence you to do something you wouldn’t normally do. One week something will be the absolutely the best and then next week it’s on to another thing. I’m sorry Shelia but they know exactly what they’re doing. And remember to like and subscribe so the companies will take notice of them and offer to partner with them. Thank you for calling them out on it

Hi Sheila, I hate when these so called influencers advertise products and then a year later they change their way of doing things or situations. It's no wonder that they call them "influencers". And I get disgusted with the Nordstrom, Sephora and Amazon sales reviews. How much make up can one person wear. Also, we live in such a mild climate so the clothing sales for winter clothes don't really apply to us. Thank you for sharing. Much love, Rita
Hi Rita, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this. You are on the same page as I am, and yes, how much make up can one person wear? All the UA-camrs that do the Nordstrom anniversary sale videos and Sephora and all the other ones do them because they get paid if you shop from their links and they remind you five times throughout the video that they will have everything listed and linked below. Many are already showing fall clothing and sweaters and coats. It is only August and it is still very hot here as well as most places in the country. Yes, I decided to pay extra for Premium channel on youTube to not see Ad Sense, but obviously 'influencers' get around that by inserting their 'blurbs' for Hello Fresh or something else. So I just click off, I'm not going to be used like that. I watch less & less of UA-cam except for free movies through premium. Maybe some of these people could get a REAL job instead of piling onto UA-cam.
@@ginagray603 hi Gina, I agree with you completely, it is so out of control and annoying. I had stated in a video last year that to avoid all the annoying ads from ad sense, Don’t watch UA-cam videos on UA-cam. Pull up Google and then type in youtube.com and you will never get an ad. As you said the UA-camr can throw in something about HelloFresh or whoever they’re putting a plug-in for but as far as the ads from UA-cam, they are not shown if you watch it by going to google.com and then from there type in youtube.com. I have no idea why it works that way or what the differences but I told my subscribers. I hate the videos where the youtuber gets real close-up to the camera (up in your face) and exclaim over products. So much hype and unrealness - filters and such. Agree 100% Shiela.

Hi Sheila, I stopped watching those type of videos. They are boring and very superficial. it's all vanity, self absorption and consumerism.. I've deleted many of these type of channels I think I'm down to about five youtube subscriptions...lol.. there just is not much worth wasting my time these days on youtube.
What a world we live in. Kind of scary that there is such a huge crowd follower mentality.

I know I only subscribe to 5 to 10 channels and none of them push products and try to sell you everything. I am grateful for the voice that God gave me and I am not afraid to use it. So many are chasing after all the wrong things, it is all about material possessions. I want to stay focused on what really matters in life and it certainly isn’t close and make up and a bunch of possessions, or big homes or new cars. What is wrong with people? I agree and there are a lot of the older content creators that act just as giddy over their piles of makeup they hoard as the younger gals . They say it makes them so happy , but you never see the the makeup in their empty videos they do every few months . Hehe !

I will be happy to do a video on how they push these face serums and creams and devices that claim it will take 10 years off your life and erase all of your wrinkles, yeah right! I agree with everything you said. People are greedy & selfish. Not only with selling, but with making long, boring videos (I don't have time to watch), begging to like & subscribe. People need to make interesting videos that help or entertain, and not all about me, me, me, me, me, or else they need to get off yt.

I have seen some that mention you need to like and subscribe the video at least three times during the video and then they have signs popping up on the video saying to subscribe. It’s annoying and it seems so desperate and dramatic. So many UA-camrs try to pretend like they are experts at everything and they love talking about themselves. I rarely every buy anything from an influencer. I used to get a Fab/Fit/Fun box, mostly because we don't do "presents" at our house so this was like a present to me every 3 months. But it began to just be clutter, things I don't use, maybe 2 or 3 things in the box I would really use. I did watch some "influencers" discussing the upcoming boxes. Since I decided to cancel and save the money I don't watch any of those videos.

I thought it was expensive and as you said, some of the stuff was just junk and I would never use anyhow so when the following year came around, he asked me if I wanted him to renew it and I told him no. I don’t like those unboxing videos because it’s the same thing, they are selling. They want you to subscribe to the box so that they are in a commission I would rather buy what I need and I want then to get some random box of things that I don’t even care about. I did not watch any Nordstrom videos either, or City Beauty. I only watch channel like mine where the reviews are honest and items are purchased. I appreciate your honesty 🤗😘
