My buddy and I have been waiting to install his electric start kit 😅 luckily my restoration had one on it but no electrical wiring or battery box ignition so all that needs to be sourced but joes got it all 😅
New subscriber! I have 2 FL250's in great shape and my buddy has a FL350. Been wanting to put a electric starter kit on mine for a while! I need to go get to work on them, my grand daughter is wanting to ride them some kinda bad!
We're super excited that you decided to subscribe to take advantage of your free chance to win the GT250!! Glad to have you aboard! Don't forget to head over to Facebook and post pics of your 2 fl250s on the Odyssey Life Facebook Page! facebook.com/groups/odysseylife
Hi there, first time fl250 owner here. Is there a catalog of links for your videos somewhere? My builds need a lot of work and I would love to start at your first video and work my way through.
Do you have a video on testing the stators I just got one having no spark issue wanna check the stator please tell me you have one or can tell me the specs something
To check the stator, you can bench test it with an Ohm meter... I personally don't have a video on this, but this is a good one... ua-cam.com/video/f8MmrXsEpjQ/v-deo.html
Picking up an 83 FL250 on Saturday. Owner said the piston has seized from sitting and it ran when it was parked. Ever see that? I’d be just worried about it having been seized from overheating.
Yes.. It's possible for the piston to seize from sitting. Best bet is to have the cylinder honed and a new piston installed.. When you're ready to do that Oddatv.com has you covered! 💥💨😁✌️🤙
It’s coming along! The lid looks great for a 40 year part. Definitely don’t discard it. I buff pontoons and chrome. The green compound is what I finish with. It is a little finer and really pulls the haze out. It probably won’t be absolutely perfect but what really is? The Odyssey is going to turn out great regardless. Keep up the good work!
Thank you brother!! If you think there's a chance a different polishing compound will work then I guess We're not giving up on that airbox cover!! 💥💨😎🤙✌️
Hey! I’m trying to add an electric starter to my Honda odyssey fl250 and I can’t find where to buy one anywhere and the only place I found is crazy Expensive. Any chance you could help me out?? Thanks
It would work better if you follow along with the "GT250" GIVEAWAY project as it's also a 1981 Honda Odyssey Fl250, and we will be doing the electrical in short fashion with a brand-new harness, stator, electric start kit, and lights!! And if you have an immediate question you can head over to the Odyssey Life Facebook Group and post your questions and receive answers super quick!! See you soon!💥💨😎✌️🤙 facebook.com/groups/odysseylife facebook.com/bernard.gillespie1
Anyone know if this starter would work on a 1983 Honda atc 200? Looks the same as I’ve seen some people have an electric starter on them but can’t find one for a atc… thinking it might be this one that I see people use? Any help would be appreciated!
This is not a stock starter and did not come on this machine... As for if it'll fit your application? We have no idea.. Most likely not as even the castings and ring gear are custom made for this application.. Good luck brother! 💥💨✌️🤟😎
We did install a stator and flywheel... It doesn't use "points" for ignition.. There are magnets on the flywheel which interact with the copper coils on the stator. While in motion this generates electricity and spark!🤔 Thank you for watching and commenting!

How do I set the magneto timing correctly?
There's no setting... You install the stator and flywheel.. The flywheels position on the crank determines spark... It's a 2-Stroke..
This is the timing I was referencing
I'm sorry brother! I didn't rebuild the "GT250" engine. Joe from oddatv did! I'll be getting into this in a future video, I promise! 🙃
Thank you so much

I just picked up a 81 fl250 I believe. Any way you could help guide me through the electrical.

How do you actually remove the flywheel on these? I’ve been searching and I can’t see anything on forums or videos
You use a flywheel puller that's available from oddatv.com! 💥💨✌️🤟😎
Where did you get that starter from and how much is it please
That electric start kit can be found at oddatv.com
A point less system?

Thank u
I have air filter covers message me if you have not found one.
Thank you so much Bill! We super appreciate you reaching out. I will message you on Messenger! You Rock!💥💨😎✌️🤙
