We all know we came here to see how incredible Taylor was, how good his snare sounds are, and how joyful yet powerful his playing is. We watched this and became better drummers. RIP Taylor, you're one of the best. So sad you've gone too soon... It's unbelievable. RIP Legend ❤
That is a fucking snare drum sound!!!!!
I keep returning to this vid. The drum sound is fucking therapy
I just turned 71 and just an old rock and roller. Tayler was special and everyone loved him. What a loss.
I watched this video a thousand times before Taylor passed away. Can't believe he isn't with us anymore 😥
This footage of Taylor is such a wonderful gift. What a tremendous talent.
Super-humam
I watch this video regularly because it’s just sound dudes doing what they love and having a blast, while Hawkins is Mariana Trench levels of deep in that pocket.
Hitting me harder than ever before right now.
RIP T. Thanks for everything 🖤
I love you Taylor.The best ever. R.I.P
Best modern drummer! Miss him!
such a great drummer
What a Talent WE MISS YOU SO MUCH TAYLOR 💔❤🌹👊💥
Still cannot get over the snare sound. Such a pop but satisfying in a natural raw way. It feels so good almost like sweet medicine to a drummer's ears.

I'm in tears because Oliver Taylor Hawkins ascended to rock heaven on March 25th, 2022 - My condolences to all the bereaved of FF-FOO FIGHTERS and family
Drumset goals
He’s mesmerizing… His death is so heartbreaking. Such an awesome personality, so beautiful and talented…. 😭💔🙏🏼
Best Transcript I've ever read.
Nice to see Rami in the mix too. I love the Foo Fighters but I loved their friendship even more.
This is an impossible loss for Dave. I can’t even remotely fathom what he’s going through. Goddamn it.
I know not all the drummers keep the hi-hat going like this, but it is totally worth to practice as one great, almost unconscious way of just staying in that pocket or like all the great REAL timekeepers like Hawkins, Cameron and Chamberlin just to name a few within recent rock music. Good fun watching this thing too. Peace.
RIP Hakwins
Click, click,click,click...
I lost count now how many times I’m coming back here. TAYLOOOOOOR! 🤘🏻🔥

Everlasting drum solo.
Drumming will never be the same without you Tay! RIP...And Dave, please take with you that sincere laugh at 8:20 as a gift to Tay!
Taylor's drum set tone sounds amaze! His toms are yums. His snare is cracking. and his bass drum is a thud from Hell!!!
This most excellent drummer The Hawkins, look you!
Loved the fact that Taylor clearly loved Van Halen. What is also clear is that he did it for love not just the money. RIP T!
Rip EVH too
Just awesome.
GoPro to record gigs ? Wow had to google that info..thought it was the drums! Anyways...just too incredible, the way Taylor plays here - represents the drums instrument so magnificently - so entertaining:) Thank you for sharing
This is a freaking bad-ass video; thank you!
How can it be that there are 200 people watching? There should’ve been packed as far as you can see! How I wish I were there to see…
Amazing
Best f’n seat in the house!! Thanks for uploading this. 🎶🎶🥁🎤🎶🎶RIP Taylor Hawkins☮️💟
Pure badass!!!!
great footage of Taylor! Check out the rack tom, its dented up pretty good, he's playing with some authority for sure!
For me hawkins is the only drummer in modern Rock to be able to play a Sabbath song with the same energy as Bill ward, shame he didn't learn Al the fills. Both unbelievable drummers.
What sabbath song did he play second man I've been trying to find it
@@levicollinsworth7413 the wizard
Thank god we still have talented players, that dont memorize lick for lick, every single note or stroke “from the record” but give us something uniqe, from them self instead
that high tom looks like it's gonna cave at any second
watching this is making me a better drummer
same
Bird Brain Mafia watching this is making me want to BE a drummer........and I’ve been a bassist for 25 years!!😎🥁

Taylor is such a killer drummer. Outstanding timing, feel and energy!
wish i was there
Mate, what go pro is this? amazing sound.
Incredible. Why am I thinking he’s only playing on like 75% while it’s sounds so powerfull. It looks so easy on him.
Also never knew he is so close positioned on his set.
That tom drumhead give me a heart attack. He was so lucky, that shit doesn't break
Gretsch Limited Edition Brooklyn Bell Brass Snare Drum 14x6.5
Lol.....so much nerd info, cool anyways.
That is the snare he uses wth the FOOOS however this isn't the snare he is using in this video, he is using the Gretsch Chrome Over Brass, USA Brooklyn :) look at the finish
@@adambreeze132 yes, you're right, after a while I realized that I was wrong.
@@adambreeze132 Looking at those lugs I have a feeling this is a PDP snare. Nearly certain those are the PDP Turret Lugs on it.
@@gercorbett7325 interesting... Bell Brass?
So impressed. Taylor Hawkins is one bad ass MOFO, He's playing LEAD drums on that one
RIP 👑
Taylor is the beast
When taylor plays open hi hat, does he just leave his foot of the pedal? If not, how does he play open when he is so close to the stand?
Taylor on fire😚🔥💥🎶
Por algo dave grohl lo eligio como su baterista es genial taylor muy talentoso
Taylor is the only thing I need
Amazing footage...Taylor kicking the Shiite out of that kit

DudeandGuitar hero 3
The crowd are bat shit crazy.
havnt yet seen grohl... although Hawkins behind a different band is... well fuckin awesome... you can tell he's light years ahead of these other guys though!
rest in peace.
What's the song at 2:00 called? :D
What's the last song?
Hi! Does anybody have an idea of what snare is he playing? Thanks!
that snare sound fucking poppsss
Marshal Smith Right! Is it just a regular 14x6.5 steel snare?
I think it may b an aluminum
That pop on the snare is so awesome!
What's the name of the second song they play?
The Wizard - Black Sabbath
Behind the wall of sleep
Taylor Hawkins is a machine........ period !!!!!!!
oh ok that's grohl wearing the blue flannel off to the left of Hawkins playing that blue Gibson trini lopez
anyone knows wich is the name of the last song? Thanks
+Federico Garascia Darude Sandstorm
so sad taylor is no longer with us .
It always amazes me how close Taylor sits to his hi hat pedal. His knee is over his foot. Thats why he has to always keep time with his left foot when he wants to play open hi hat. Otherwise his shins would just give up.
Song name?
R.I P Taylor....
What's the name of song at 17:00?
Sandro Asanishvili eruption Van Halen
I really couldn't figure out how to compare Taylor Hawkins and Dave Grohl as far as drumming goes.actually let's add Bonham in this thought. I do believe that Taylor plays on top of the beat whereas Bonham played in the groove and behind the beat.what makes Grohl great is he's in between Taylor and laid back Bonham, as far as grooving. I can't tell you how to get to there pro level but I do have Two good ears.
Dave said that Taylor’s more technical and he’s more beat the shit out of the drums. And 70s funk.
@@flor9389 100% correct!
Totally agree. While they both started out classic rock, by the time Dave got to the drums his primary influences were DC hard punk and go-go. Taylor’s primary influences were Queen and the Police. MUCH more technical and subtle. And I think Dave influence him a smidge w how hard he hits, at least at the beginning of FF. Of course everyone bows to Bonham. 🙂. I think they both got more and more creative over the years in their own specialties.
I agree with your comment both Dave&Taylor are great drummers.Bonham was on a whole other level of drumming&no way they deserve to be mentioned with JB imo
I can think of 3 drummers that I put w /Bonham
Behind The Wall Of Sleep by Black Sabbath
