After fitting what’s the normal gap that can be between knee and the outside part of the brace? Because , when standing, I can easily slide 1 finger in the gap and it gives me the feeling that they are useless, not “embracing” the knee
Kirk Richter Hi! I had the same problem. I just bought these braces & adjusted them correctly thanks to this video, but the red adjusting clips were in so tight I was afraid I was gonna break them trying to get them out. Seem like nice braces, haven’t been out riding in them as of yet.
Does this knee brace works for street biking? I had ACL injury in 2 accidents and I'm looking for a knee brace that could help with my injured knee and protecting the good one from a similar injury. Thanks in advance !
Yes, this knee brace can be used for Street Riding, but this specific model is discontinued and has been superceded. Look into Leatt Knee Brace X-Frame, Leatt C-Frame Carbon, Asterisk Knee braces or EVS Knee Braces.
has any body experiance with thes braces for MTB / Enduro (moderate pedaling) ? i have several injuries ACL/MCL/Meniskus an think about some kind of that
enduro253 Check out the Leatt Dual Axis. They are considered a knee "pad" and not a "brace". They will probably work better for your application. I'm sure the C Frame would be fine too but I'm just willing to bet that the Dual Axis would be more favorable for mountain biking as they are not quite as bulky, etc. but still offer excellent coverage and protection and are CE certified as well.
So had them for a few hours.. sending them back. Utterly disappointed to say the least. Well made product which may or may not work on your knees. In my case it didn't; the way rigid top bracket and hinge designed they don't take into account that knee changes shape as it bends and it doesn't bend 100% straight line. So when adjusted per Liatt instructions in this video, it is painfully tight in sitting position, yet there is 1-2 finger gap on outside in standing position and it offers no stability/support. At least braces with neoprene offer more flexibility to accommodate shape changes. Knee cup is too far away in fixed position and there's no adjustment to bring it closer. If you manage to slide the brace up/in to bring it closer, it will stay in that position for exactly one second, until you move, flex muscle and it slides. So the craftsmanship 5 stars, ergonomic fit -1 or worse. It may work for you, if you have the right type of knee/thigh muscle shape. It did not for me and the way rigid top is made I doubt there are too many people it fit well.
Very good vid just bought them and this was very helpful for putting them on correctly.
Cool!
you saved my knee
Hello , is it normal to have a gap between the knee and the joint of the brace when the leg is extended?

Are these comfortable fr long touring? Plz reply. Tc
thank you for this video
You are welcome AL Rubaie Mustafa
These fit me good but my one big complaint is how hard it is to get the red adjusters in and out it’s insane on the newer design c frame

I just brought the new one too. You have to unbolt the knee cap to remove red stoppers
Enduro Slug damn nice tip!!
Kirk undo the allen key bolts holding the knee cap protector on. This exposes the shims, they then slide in and out with ease
BJN 8892 haha thanks I don’t know how I did it but I got them in and out without removing the knee cap 😅

Buonasera a tutti, io vorrei comprare delle nuove ginocchiere/tutori ma sono indeciso tra la c frame e x frame!
Qualcuno sa consigliarmi per piacere?
Are those braces overkill for mountbiking?
