Really cool bracers. I think the most important gear are boots and knee bracers, do not cheap out on knee gear!!! Once you ruin a knee in a crash, it is never going to be 100% again.
i have been using these for over a year and they are amazing. This is my favorite piece of riding gear i own. i already have a weak knee and these braces support it making riding so much easier for me. worth every penny
I normally wear super stretch skinny fit jeans when I ride and wear knee guards over them. However I had a crash 2 months ago where I fractured my tibia plateau and now I need more protection for sure. Can these be worn on top of the jeans?
I’ve had mine for 2 years and LOVE them. I wear JT Racing pants and EVS Tug socks. My favorite thing about these is the fact that they are a brace and a guard all in one. And that price is hard to beat.
I just found this vid. after I bought some of these braces, SO my comments are late. I tried on both the Med and large, the plastic frames are the same size, just the optional padding inserts are different thickness. I bought the Meds. but need the large thin knee insert. But not a problem. After changing out the inserts and finding the correct extend stop, I then do several things when putting on. After I get them on, I knell down, so they can move to the perfect fit on my leg, then readjust the straps. I must say, these are SUPER comfortable and can hardly tell Im wearing them. They do not slide down or move once properly set up and adjusted. Your leg and knees are very secure and can not twist sideways and the knee cap does not touch the inside of the knee cup, so its protected in a "bubble". They wrap around the sides of the knee, so if your bike falls on the side of your knee, its still protected. Yes, you need a loose pant leg, but my Klim lites work great, as I usually get a size alittle larger than I need for some extra room. These are worth every penny, as a knee operation cost MUCH more.!!!!

Kyle these braces are designed for perfect fit and they need to be tightened fully but not stopping the circulation - no slack on the straps - otherwise they dont function in the crash event. at the beginning it is hard to find the balance as at the right tension before the ride it feels your leg is strangled a bit. however after 10-15 mins it disappears and your braces are fit properly. i use Fox 360 pants size 34 and never had an issue

@@michail1963 yeah they're a super tight fit but extremely stretchy. They're Banana Republic Traveler jeans which are made with modal cotton and are easily the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn in my life, super soft like butter. I have three pairs of them and I've tried over 20 different brands of MX pants and the jeans are just such a much better comfortable riding experience. I also wear 686 pants which are also very stretchy thin tight and water resistant so they work as well.
I just bought the DonJoy braces. They are a very well made and an excellent product. I only have one ride on them so far, but pretty happy with those. They will probably last a lifetime.
I've found the different Fly pants work really well with knee braces. And u don't have to get a bigger size. I rock the pod k4's and couldn't imagine riding without them now.
Good knee braces are expensive but, worth it! I hurt my left knee some years ago and it will never be the same. I learned my lesson. I have been using EVS Webs for a long time. I can't comment on the Mobius... But, I would highly recommend the EVS Webs!
I have the Troy Lee Designs Catalyst X knee braces, doctor approved, super comfortable on long rides, light, not hot, they don’t chafe even without high socks, and still have a knee guard on them. And they fit under every pant I own, I mostly use the Klim Mojave pants. But the TLDs are about $150 more than the mobius braces. Worth it tho. Honestly I’d take those mobius braces back or sell them on eBay and get the TLDs for it sounds like they suck if you’re choosing to not use them on occasion for all the reasons explained, I don’t even think about my TLDs and there isn’t one drawback I can think of. Believe me you will thank me.
I got a pair about a year ago and they are a great investment after having both knees rebuilt they worth it .now I just need to order up some shirts so I can win that ktm

I've got these, definitely go a size that fits/smaller if your right I'm the middle. They fit well with the fly evolution 2.0 pants. I had a hard time with them at first but you get used to them/they break in pretty well.
I won't ride without knee braces any more. I've tried a bunch and they are really hard to figure out. Unfortunately you have to really try them on to find out if they fit your leg/knee. I really liked an older pair of EVS braces I had and wore out. But all the new EVS braces I couldn't wear. Didn't fit. Had pressure points. I wanted to try these Mobius braces but in Florida I just figured they would be WAY too hot with all that coverage. I currently use the Pod K8 braces and really like them. Light weight and have a lot of open space in the frame to let air circulate. Got good fitment with them and they have held up really well so far. A sock or sleeve is a must. And as you pointed out, some pants won't work with some knee braces. Although, those Mobius ones look bulky enough that you might have more pant fitment issues than with some of the other slimmer designs.

Love mine. Super protective and no hotter than a good knee shin guard. half of it is in the boot anyway. I wear fly gear and have no fitting binding or grabbing issues. At the end of the day they have to fit you comfortably. Try them all on and find what u like that suits your leg shape.

I have been looking at knee braces, as an older guy my biggest fear is blowing out my knee. So before I pick up a dedicated enduro bike I am putting my gear together. These braces and the Alpinestars knee braces are on my list.
TheBraps don't you think they're a little expensive? My father always wore more skateboard style knee pads, and they did the job just fine. And to be honest I've never heard of someones knee being hyperextended. I'm a firm believer that you don't need top of the range, hyper-expensive gear to be safe or have fun. Stuff like this is for factory riders who get it provided for free anyway.
TheBraps Ride to your ability and you won’t have any issues. The more gear you put on you the less flexible you become and thus the more prone to crash. Knee guards are a must but cheap MX guards will do the same job just fine and you will enjoy your ride much more.
IlroryylI You can indeed hyperextend your knee, especially with a wrong technique. Some people even break their legs. But it’s all a question of staying within your comfort zone if you are a recreational rider, and all will be good.
I think I can speak for many of your viewers, can you post a review of the Leatt Fusion 3.0 vest? I think that's what I'm seeing on your gear wall in some of your videos! Thanks Kyle, another great video from your channel!
Great review. I'm really leaning toward these, did you try out the different stops ? if so did you notice a difference and did it effect your riding comfort ?
There is different thickness pads for the straps too. Annoying that you have to take off pants to put them on, asterisk uses the same type cable tensioning system and theirs you can unhook the cable and put the braces on without removing pants entirely.
Charlie Kohn I do if I'm riding straight from the house, but if hauling bike in truck i like to get riding gear on and then drive out to trail head, a little cumbersome wearing these while driving. Gravel parking areas and rainy weather and pull off shoes and pants, get socks then braces on, pants back on then boots...etc. Just less hassle if you could just pull down pants and put them on without having to remove leg completely from pants.
Hi Kyle your vids are awesome. Not sure if this has been asked. When you had your unfortunate accident on the trials bike were you wearing a knee brace? After your injury it has made me explore the knee brace option Cheers
These are cool but pretty ridiculous price-wise. Basically for a select group of people with money to burn. People like Kyle who buy a new bike every year or two lol. For the rest of us I recommend the jell Wolf Bike knee pads for $15 from amazon, and they atleast cushion my knees in case of an accident. Plus they feel comfy!
prices on braces are insane.. I mean plastic, foam, and elastic.. maybe $200 would be stretching it... why all the price gouging with protection that cost nothing to produce
was reading your rules why is the winner to be a licensed driver when not one is participating in Commerce or getting paid, This falls under the lines of personal conveyance
Why are you asking questions without proper punctuation, or correct usage of capitalization? :) The answer to your question is that is what my lawyer suggested. Those rules are all about protecting me legally.

not true...try before you judge. i havent tried CTi, but was advised to try Mobius from a friend who switched to them from CTi. he says these fit perfect and tighter than custom fit CTi. I switched from POD K8 and although those fit well, mobius is just a different world. however they are damn hot!:(
Cti's are custom made for you leg shape, I have done my ACL with PODS. I now wear CTis. You dont get a better knee braces. Mobius and PoDs are the same.. knee guards, it doesn't brace.
These are knee guards and offer very little bracing. All knee guards are sold as pairs. Knee braces on the other hand cost much more and are often custom made for injuries / prevention so of course they are sold individually. These are glorified knee guards with extra bracing.
Sorry kyle I would just sell that ktm if I won it, to buy a 250x. So I'll pass and let somebody who wants it, win it. Blue crew till the wheels fall off.
600-700 dollars? what a rip off. Oh but wait, knee injuries, knee surgery, ligament tears will cost sooooo much more, What a BS excuse. In that line of thinking, jockstrap/cup protection should cost thousands and thousands of dollars.
