*Altogether a well made lure **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s the skirt seems to stay on well and the whole thing is bigger than I thought it would be. The 2 metal have a nice plating on them as well.*
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Try making the bottom jig tied with a palamor knot so that you can have that jig sitting parallel in the water. When they thump it simply slide the knot back closer to body and it is parallel again. Can't do that if both are loop knots. Presentation as well as color are all sometimes key to a bite.
What reel were you using? It looks great! Also, what's your opinion of it? Does it rate highly in your opinion? I'm asking because I'm looking to buy an ultra/semi ultra light reel.
I use a variety of reels that all seems to work well for me and have held up over time. Cadence, Shimano, Okuma, Piscifun. I would suggest getting a 2000 size if you want to use the reel for finesse fishing bass or walleye. If it is just a panfish rod/reel setup, the 1000 size is perfect.
I have used the Shimano and Okuma reels before, but never Cadence or Piscifun. How's the Piscifun compared to the Cadence? Which is better for the money? You know, for a reel that I've never heard of before the Cadence is quite pricey! I hope they are good since they aren't cheap! BTW, which Piscifun model do you recommend in the 1000 and 2000 sizes? Thanks for taking the time to answer my numerous questions, I appreciate it!
I have the venom (1000) and the Honor (2000). If you're looking a for a solid panfish reel that is more affordable I would go with the venom. I used mine all through ice fishing season last year and all this year. here is the link : www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0711MNS12/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=floppingcra02-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B0711MNS12&linkId=b5cbe10adc114a14344fdda0523a6bbf
The 7'6" is a great multi species rod, I use it for panfish, bass (finesse tackle), and walleye. The 10, 11ft rods I use for slip bobbers and vertical jigging. Let me know how they work for you.
Haha, no electronics may be hard, but I will put it on the schedule. Now I just need to do some more scouting, so I can film a hunt. Thanks for watching!
Flopping Crappie haven’t been able to use it yet, busy packing, selling our house and retiring to Lake Conroe, North of Houston. Finally retiring!!! Can’t wait
Interesting technique, I've used similar when fishing walleye in the river (Dubuque rig on a 3-way) or bass (drop shot w/ heavy and light jig) in lakes. Like you, there's a need to be careful, since some states don't allow multiple hooks to be more than a few inches apart .What part of the country are you located? It looks northern.

Used Speckled Trout rigs, which are a similar set-up, for White bass during the spawning run. Incredibly fun!

I would like to see the sonar shot of what it looked like under the boat. Good job on the knots to use. Enjoyed the video
Thanks! I'll be sure to show the sonar screen the next time I'm out.
I was want to see how both hooks look on line after you put them on. Then see how they look with jig and hook on line. Thanks
Have you ever used the dropper loop know for your top jig? My favorite knot for double jig rig.
I'll have to try that loop next time
Yes let's see the three jig setup
Check out the Triple Jig video! ua-cam.com/video/OhDkzI9ljrA/v-deo.html
Thanks. I like your shows. Good techniques and tutorials. I’m a crappie guy. Always looking to learn more.🇺🇸🐟
thanks for watching!
I’ve learned a new thing! That was a really ingenious way to rig that two jig rig! I will be trying this!
Good luck and let me know how it works for you!
Love2 jig set up
Crappy ploopin
Hey Flopping Crappie I used the two jig on one line today it really works great.
Awesome, I'm glad it worked for you. Thanks for watching!
i would like to see a tripple jig set up yes,
This was from awhile back.. ua-cam.com/video/omLupLTtZaI/v-deo.html
I like the idea of getting another channel for hunting. And I would like to see a triple jig video.
The triple one would be interesting. Steve Comalander has jogged for white perch with 7 and caught 7 it was fantastic
Sick video bro! Maybe a dropshot hook instead of an upper jig? Keep it up!
I'll try it out. Thanks!
Probably have to go up to 1/4oz head on bottom I assume then that might work. Also tell you if they want jugs or minnows that day! Good idea
cool video with good tips!
I’ve used the crappie crank bait with swim jig trailing worked really good, I think you had a video on the crank bait those things are killers
Mini crappie Alabama rig🤔 imagine the whole school😂
What reel were you using? It looks great! Also, what's your opinion of it? Does it rate highly in your opinion? I'm asking because I'm looking to buy an ultra/semi ultra light reel.
This is the Cadence CS8 2000 size. amzn.to/2D2sCVe

Do you ever use a colored jig head? I've noticed you usually just use a plane jig. Is there a reason for it?
I normally use a plain leaf head jig if I'm using a plastic, but I do use color jigs with marabou and hair jigs.
👍
flair in the future
I thought same thing
Just wanted to let you know that I tried this set up today and I caught some Pigs ! Love this double Jig set up. Great Video man. Thank You .
That's awesome! I'm this setup is working for you, and thanks for watching!
I just curious because I’ve got a 7’6 and 10ft acc crappie stix but haven’t had a chance to use them yet.
The 7'6" is a great multi species rod, I use it for panfish, bass (finesse tackle), and walleye. The 10, 11ft rods I use for slip bobbers and vertical jigging. Let me know how they work for you.
I tried this..tangles..and double chances of getting snagged..lost both jigs twice. Enough for me.
Have you tried bank Fishing river with this rig?
I have not tried bank fishing a river with this, but I think I would be effective during certain times of the year.
What length crappie stix are you using?
I think this was the 7'6", but I would also use the 8ft for this rig. Be sure to use code FC10 at checkout to get 10% off
I tie two lures on for sand bass in the summer
I'll have to try that next time I chase them. were you using the double fluke rig or two jigs?
Thanks another good one.
I would like to the triple jig rig.
Here you go, Enjoy!: ua-cam.com/video/OhDkzI9ljrA/v-deo.html
Good video,, and you need to get some rest bro.... I think I’ll forgive you if you miss one day, it’s ok you did very good so far.
Haha, half way done. Don't worry I have about a weeks worth of videos filmed, just need to get them edited. Thanks for watching!
Great Video. What Reel are you using??
Cadence CS 7.I have the older model. This is the new model amzn.to/2QGd9ht
How deep are you fishing
I was fishing brush piles in about 10-15ft of water.
Reel and line size? Newbie here.
6lb mono, 2000 size reel, but I also use 1000 size reels
Yo would really like some hunting man! Also no electronic challenges
Haha, no electronics may be hard, but I will put it on the schedule. Now I just need to do some more scouting, so I can film a hunt. Thanks for watching!
I'm interested in the 3 jigs
I should be filming it this week, hopefully posting it by the weekend. Thanks for watching!
I thought it was illegal to have more than two hooks
in Minnesota you are only allowed 2 lines, but in Wisconsin you are allow 3 lines. Different states have different rules.
good one do one with top hook live minnow
What reel are you using?
That is a Cadence CS 7.I have the older model. This is the new model amzn.to/2QGd9ht
What's your hunting channel
haven't made one yet.
Great explanation of the tying of the two jig system Davis, thanks!!!
Thanks, how are you liking your new ACC rod?
Flopping Crappie haven’t been able to use it yet, busy packing, selling our house and retiring to Lake Conroe, North of Houston. Finally retiring!!! Can’t wait
Congrats! You'll have to show some picks of those Lake Conroe crappie!
Flopping Crappie Thanks Davis, will do!
For a few seconds I thought you were Flair ! Hahahaha
haha, ya.. I get that from time to time.
I've always done double jiggs and I got 2 fish at once 4 times this year. We call it 2 for 1 haha.
Haha, it is a great setup and when the fish are biting, you can catch a limit in no time with this rig.
Nice video bro keep up the good work ..post more videos maybe even big girls thanks James.
What hat is that
Columbia
Dang!
👍🏻👍🏼
