The Curious Case Of So RANDOM!

- So Random was a spinoff of a show that was never intended to have one. Despite it coming from a fairly popular Disney Channel show, it's rarely brought up in conversations today. But why? Well, hopefully this video can shed some light on this fascinating topic.

What were YOUR thoughts on So Random/Sonny With A Chance?
Ironically, I remember So Random more than Sonny With A Chance.
Skinny Pants Syndrome
sonny with a chance was the goat
I remember both these shows watching them when I was younger when they were on air and I did like watching them they weren't ground breaking but they were still pretty enjoyable.
@@kingmagikarp97 Yeah but kind of wish it ended just with sonny
Shayne and Damien are still best friends and Shayne is basically the face of modern Smosh!
They've actually had a few So Random reunion on Smosh, and they're pretty gold
“Smosh at 99% strength”
I literally came to the comments to say the exact same thing!!

those were the only few successful skits, otherwise it was an okay show - comparable to the Amanda show or MadTV
Don’t forget MC Grammar and his Angel lol 😂
The actors playing actors in a sketch show is so funny to me because how am I supposed to watch this show knowing bts Zora is a maniac who lives in the vents
I’m dead 😂
According to Demi and Sterling during the SWAC reunion on Zoom, they think that Sonny and Chad would eventually get back together if a season 3 had happened. So, it’s not too farfetched of a head cannon to think that Chad joined So Random as a favor for Sonny because of his feelings for her.
Just saw that you mentioned later on that you watched the reunion. So, I’m sure you already knew about Demi and Sterling’s thoughts lol
Shayne and Damien have consistently been some of my favorites on modern smosh, and they've brought in some of their so random costars to feature in videos quite a few times
They also still have that same wild energy and chemistry they had back on So Random.
yess we stan shamien
Man I keep wondering what if other the other so random cast joined smosh specially Mathew since his always great when his on smosh
another banger by shayne topp from icarly
It’s funny Shayne has mentioned that so many people badgered him for replacing demi, then on Smosh they did the same thing but with Anthony 😂😂😂
In other news, Damien Haas recently had his big break as a voice actor. He's been in games like Triangle Strategy, but more importantly he has a leading role in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes as the male player avatar
and now he’s a voice actor ina english dub for a netflix anime he booked!
Don’t forget he was one of the first characters you meet in Starfield. As bland as the game got, I was pleasantly surprised to realize that Damien was a big part of the intro sequence
And he is in Unicorn Overlord. My man got talent
The biggest mistake is that they should’ve done a McKenzie falls spinoff, not so random lol
I would've WATCHED that
that would've worked a lot better
YES!
i vividly remember seeing an episode or two on on demand as a kid but i could be making that up
Literally 😂
Shayne and Damien are still best friends and they are consistently great on Smosh. They also seem to be good friends with some of the other cast members from So Random as they featured some of them on Smosh, most notably Matthew who has been a guest on the channel multiple times.
I think they’re also relatively close friends with Allisyn Snyder (née Arm), who played Zora, because she’s shown up a few times. I’ve also heard them mention Doug Brochu (Grady) several times and it sounds like they still talk.
So Random wasn’t too bad. The music and guests were bangers, and with the situation it was handed, it did fine. Marketability left with Demi, it was bound not to last, but it’s still better than most post-2010 Disney.
So Random was like the closest thing that we had to an All That substitute/replacement.
Agreed but not with the last part. We got shows like shake it up, good luck Charlie, dog with a blog, Wizards of waverly place (if that one counts since it’s right in the middle), etc. there were so many iconic shows in the early 2010s.
@@hotsexyangel I respect your opinion, but for me the only live action show that premiered in the 2010s that is genuinely a great show is Good Luck Charlie, the rest teeter around the mediocre to bad range,
@@hotsexyangel Shake It Up and GLC both came out in 2010, so only DWAB counts as “post-2010” since it was a 2012 show. And I definitely remember that show being polarising compared to the other shows mentioned

Btw CoCo Jones exposing Disney actually gave her a career boost recently. She’s now starring in The Fresh Prince remake, and her music has been well received recently, she’s like a rising r&b star right now.
What happened? I'm not very aware of this stuff
@@cleverusername8319 she made video in 2020 or 2021 talking about her experiences as a Black actor on Disney Channel and the entertainment industry/young hollywood. Matthew Scot Montgomery belonged on SNL. That comedic timing was beyondddd Disney!!! He deserves his flowers

Seriously, he just oozes extreme charisma on screen. I always though that he deserves more opportunities.

i mean based on smosh’s recent content it seems like matthew, shayne and damien still get along well and are still, of course, funny af.
The whole cast had a really great bond. Just look at the reunion!!!
They mentioned going to Alyson’s wedding, too
Damien’s funeral roast was hilarious especially when Matthew showed up
I think had Demi never left Sonny would’ve became a singer. They planted that seed in the episode where they all found out she could write songs and sing. They also had Somny sing for the Halloween special and the Christmas special where she sung with Joe Jonas. Inthe final episode she sung a song about Chad lol it was all there
She was already releasing albums when they got her to sing on the show, it was a marketing ploy really to get people to go listen to her music, worked on me
i do think thats where season 3 was going and then if we got a season 4 it'd be focusing on her music career with season 3 kinda leading to her landing a recording deal or smthn like that.
@@bethancameron6283 this makes more sense.
I’m glad you mentioned being Shayne and Damien being on Smosh cause when Anthony left, those two became my favorites. Also fun fact, Matthew shows up on Smosh a couple times like in Damien’s funeral roast and they seem like they’re still pretty good friends. Damien actually just recently started running a DND campaign called Sword AF for the channel being the DM, Shayne being a player, and Angela from Starkid (who recently joined the cast), Amanda, and Chance (I’m not sure if his name is spelled like that or not)
I remember LOVING So Random when it came out. As a kid that tired easily of the tropes of children's sitcoms, So Random was a refreshing, funny show. And it lived up to the name. I watched it again recently as an adult, and I have to say, some of the jokes really hold up. The Anime Bros still make me laugh out loud all these years later. This weird little show will always hold a special place in my heart.
33:36 “what has everyone been doing since the show”
“Rehab! Several times”
I had to do a double take. It’s good they can talk about it with a smile.
Chad Dylan cooper & Sonny’s relationship truly made the show. Without them it wasn’t going to last imo.
Brandon aka Nico was truly the greatest cast member. Dude's freaking talented.
He deserved his own dcom!
Yeah he is i enjoy him as Mikey on rise of the ninja turtles 🐢
It's wild how they just repeat show concepts for each new generation. Every person as long as tv has existed will have a sketch comedy show they loved/watched as kids.
Also, I'm so happy you came back and with your actual voice. I usually watch videos like these while I work out and the voice before was too distracting. Thanks for the great video.

IMO, Brandon, Doug, and Alisyn transitioned to So Random better than Tiffany and Sterling because Nico, Grady, and Zora were primarily comic relief B-plot characters on SWAC, so being funny is what defined them, but Tawni and Chad were A-plot characters with a lot more character depth to them. Tawni was a conceited diva turned best friend and Chad was the bad-boy love interest from the rival show. They were best as Tawni and Chad and playing other sketch comedy characters isn’t what people wanted to see.
Honestly as a person who loved Sunny With a Chance, So Random was the perfect way to branch off of it without totally throwing it away.
Funny that Disney didn't allow LMFAO in this show as Yo Gabba Gabba oddly censored some bands that performed on the show. For example, Shiny Toy Guns got shortened to "The Shinys", and The Killers...well, instead they were called after the band members, being called "Brandon, Ronnie, Mark & Dave". They could have just done something like that.
I think MCR was also on Yo Gabba Gabba
Yo Gabba Gabba was a different breed - it’s probably one of the best thought out and produced kids shows in a very long time
LMFAO were also explicitly black
@@drfifteenmd7561 by that are you referring to the fact that all the members were black? Mindless Behavior is an all-black group on the show. If you mean the content of their music, then I’m not too familiar with that. I think it really is the name of the group though considering Disney’s reputation for being overly controlling about their family friendly image.
@@winter-wb7cf could be both. as a black guy who was a kid in the target audience i think the blackness played a part.
I never watched So Random (or I can’t remember watching it). Once Demi left, so did I. But, they gave us Damien and Shayne, so I officially love it
Best duo fr
Yes !! 🙏
Yesss, those two are comedy gold and great dudes
Another huge factor of Sonny With a Chance that I always liked was them constantly saying, "I'm working on a sketch"
It made it apparent that they contributed something to the show, they weren't JUST young actors, but young talents; writers and directors.
I remember watching So Random, watching this video made me realize how much I actually did. That being said, I remember being bored with a lot of sketches and specifically thinking, "no way they wrote this sketch."
The writers on So Random dropped the ball with making sketches young teens would write, and that's what made it feel so off. The actors really were the only thing that made it palatable, I love that cast
I feel like I was one of the very few kids who was deeply impacted by this show lmao. I wanted to be on SNL my whole life growing up, and seeing kids do just that only fueled my dreams. My best friend and I were obsessed with Angus, to the point of the phrase “my shins” being an in-joke. I was never a huge fan of Demi, no shade to them but I found the supporting cast much more engaging and relatable.
For what it’s worth, I loved this show and I’d like to see Disney do away with the squeaky clean image to try something like this again. After all, if you go back in Disney’s discographies, you’ll find some weird stuff- and I’d love for them to go back to that!
Disney's weird stuff was never really successful
YES OMG!! so random was my *favorite* disney show growing up and now I'm pursuing sketch comedy as my career :')
i loved this show so much you’re not alone
I never wanted to go into comedy but something about this show captivated me. You’re definitely not alone there
@@jalapeno1119 two words: “Hocus Pocus” lol
OK, so in regards to "Disney shows were generally inoffensive, but So Random offended some parents", I'd like to point out that there were actually a lot of controversies surrounding the contents of certain Disney Channel episodes. One Suite Life of Zack and Cody episode got banned from reruns because the main plot was Zack pretending to have dyslexia so he could get easier school work. Some might remember a Hannah Montana episode about Oliver having diabetes, which was actually a reworked version of an episode that never aired because it had a very insensitive and inaccurate portrayal of diabetes. One Shake It Up episode was pulled from reruns because it had an eating disorder joke, then when it finally returned, the entire scene where the joke occurred was re-shot with the joke removed. There was an A.N.T. Farm episode that had to have at least three separate scenes censored because they played police brutality for laughs. And, perhaps most infamously, there was a Jessie episode that was delayed last minute because it made fun of a character for having a gluten allergy. So I don't think moral guardians getting upset about So Random is likely to be a reason for it's cancellation if all those other shows were able to keep going after all of that.
the last one was thanks to Demi Lovato interestingly if i remember correctly
@@paintingdreams290 It was actually the Shake It Up episode that Demi called out
The reason for cancellation was revealed to be contracts coming up. Usually, Disney shows air for 4 or 6 seasons (unless your bunkd for some reason). So random contractually was still Sonny with a chance. So the two sonny with a chance seasons and two so random seasons made 4 and the show was done then. Wasn't cancelled, it was ended.
I remember there being a That’s So Raven episode that ended up airing well after the show’s finale (EDIT: 9 whole months, according to what I found online) that was about Cory developing a smoking habit. I’m assuming they originally weren’t going to air it, but either edited it or decided to go ahead and air it anyway.
Also, I was past the age demographic, but I tuned in the watched Girl Meets World because I’m a huge fan of the original Boy Meets World. That show had at least 1-2 “controversial” episodes. There’s been a lot of discussion in the neurodivergent community about one of the episodes where a character gets diagnosed with autism and how they handle it. I also remember a bullying episode, which I guess isn’t necessarily “controversial”, but it was much more serious than the other episodes.
Coco Jones is one of the most underrated artists when it came to transitioning into the music industry. She could have had a massive career and it sucks that it didn’t take off as it deserved to.
i’m still a huge fan of her and she’s doing pretty well for herself now, her new album is great!
Socks and sandals was the only ting I remembered from the show. Like a REGULARLY quoted that song. But when you also brought up the “you’re not gonna believe this” guy I was assaulted by a wave of nostalgia! He was definitely the most memorable character for me
I like the idea of a potential season where Chad's show gets low ratings and gets cancelled, leaving him at rock bottom with no other choice but to join So Random, with a clear desire for his presence to boost ratings hence the extra perks that he gets, that way he can still be an antagonist within the series but has a chance to like, soften his edges. I kinda assumed that happened when I wasn't watching before looking it up and seeing "oh wait no the show's just over...huh.".
Shayne and damien being in smosh now is awesome lmao

@@hadinasrallah8928 Exactly if they kept doing the same content the brand would've died long ago. People just love nostalgia
My issue with So Random was not that they never explained why Sonny left, it was them never explaining why Chad joined. His character was the MANIN CHARACTER on another TV show (Mackenzie Falls). Did that show end? Did he leave it? It makes no sense.
Also, Coco Jones has a music career before doing the stuff with Disney. She was in the Radio Disney contest NBT in season 3, which lead to her career blowing up.
And if you haven't listened to Cody Simpson's newest album it is fantastic so go do that
Your “iGibby” example makes the whole idea sound SO ridiculous lmao😭😂
I was convinced Demi was a guest star at one point but apparently I'm misremembering a Christmas special with Joe Jonas. A bummer that the show didn't catch my attention after she left, I was probably still pissed that they broke up Dylan and Sonny lmao
Hell we never gotten a proper ending they just ended the show but surprisingly not because Disney wanted to end it they was going to give it a 3rd season had Demi not left
Yeah I remember on so random demi and joe I think sung the song that they later on had teddy from good luck Charlie sing. Or maybe it wasn't so random but I remember the song.
@@liona6770 Yes and no. It was a special episode of Sonny With a Chance that was entirely So Random.
Yes! She sang Me, Myself & Time in a very similar stage, I loved the song, lol!
Growing up with All That and the Amanda Show, I was so disappointed by So Random. I was aging out of the target audience by then I guess. I remember strongly wishing they did a Mackenzie Falls spin-off instead, but I get the poor logistics of that. I remember loving those webisodes, can't find them anywhere now
This. I remember the same thing, I was aging out of that demographic, but I lacked a laptop and so, a lot of what I COULD watch was still cable... and holy crap, this was the REALLY BAD ERA of TV too.
Honestly now that u say that the Mackenzie falls scenes on sonny with a. Chance were pretty funny so now I’m wish they would have done that as a spin-off
Oh God, yes.
Like, So Random even back then just felt like an Amanda Show ripoff Sonny was a part of, while Mackenzie Falls was near perfect - they could even write Sonny's character in as Chad's sick new girlfriend.
@@eatatjoes6751 They really could've done so much more with it. The actors were REALLY rough at sketch comedy too, with some exceptions, it was painfully obvious that for some of them they didn't wanna be there anymore, like Tawni's actress. You can see it in her face in most of the sketches that she REALLY doesn't wanna be there.
@@st3458 I feel like it would've been like Moody's Point from the Amanda Show.
there is no way to overstate the joy i felt when i saw this in my recommended. this show felt like a fever dream, it left such an impact on lil preteen me but no one else i talk to has ever seen it lmaoooo
Chad Dylan Cooper was the best thing about sunny with a chance, and thats unanimously agreed upon
It's insane how many times I thought this show wasn't that memorable, only to go "holy shit I remember that!"
Did he say MC Grammar was based on vanilla ice when MC Hammer is literally who he's impersonating? Lmao
that’s the joke
Never forget MC hammer was vice president of Baseball operations of the Oakland Athletics in the 1970s
A joke from So Random has morphed into a running joke within my family: “food touching other food.” Haven’t thought about the show in many years, but that joke remained strong. My mother is the main repeater of it, and I’m sure she has no memory of from where it came.
Shayne and Damien are indeed still friends! They’re some of my favorites on Smosh. Super funny and talented. And obviously I don’t know them outside of watching them in videos, but they seem like genuinely good people.
Seeing Brandon on this show really makes me realize how good of a casting choice he was for Mikey, he brought so much energy to that character and I feel like his personas like Dr. Delicate Touch and Dr. Feelings could've come from playing various characters here.
There are some fans like Caitlin Mckillop who don't consider So Random canon. I wouldn't either but if it was, this is how I would make sense of it. Sonny leaves the show to pursue a music career and go on a cross country tour. But Chad doesn't know this and is so desperate to win Sonny back that he begs Marshall to sign him on as a full time member to get closer to her. But finds out too late and has to do at least one season of the show. Man, I wish Sonny got a revival. Same with Brandy and Mr Whiskers, My Babysitter's a Vampire, Ultra Violet and Black Scorpion, Mighty Med and several other Disney XD shows.
Edit: rereading the comment, I know how I sound, but I actually liked the show for what it was. I just find it depressing the writers never gave a in-universe explanation for Chad replacing Sonny. Some of my favorite sketches were The Coolest Kid In School, the Rufus skits, Socks With Sandals, The Backup Singers and the entirety of the Dylan and Cole Sprouse episode! And I haven't seen half of the guest stars in a decade! I missed Colbie Caillat, she was one of my biggest pop star crushes; where's she been since she sang with Babyface? Rocketeer was a great song from Far East Movement and I'm kind of sad they're looked back at as a joke for songs like Like a G6, especially since they were one of the few Asian American acts to reach number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. CoCo Jones absolutely deserved better, too! And those other musical acts were amazing! I'm definitely making some time to listen to some of them!
Edit again: holy crap! How'd I go from no likes to 22 likes the next day!?!
Shayne, Damien's and Matthew's characters were amazing and the most memorable in my opinion, they were funnier than the original cast, I hope Shayne and Damien react to this video lol
"socks with sandals" is a certified classic
honestly I think it was more or less like every sketch comedy show - most of it is ultimately forgettable, but a couple bits are going to lurk in your brain forever and emerge with the correct sleeper agent activation code. something like snl is well known for being wildly hit or miss, but with 47 seasons, there’s just inevitably going to be a certain amount of those memorable sketches, which seems to make people remember especially early snl as funnier on average than it usually is if you actually sit down and watch it. honestly it’s kind of impressive that so random has this many individual sketches that are remembered 10+ years later given that the show only had one season, even if I completely agree that a lot of what surrounded those particular segments was often kinda….ehh
This is honestly like a fever dream in my core memories as a child , I quite honestly literally forgot that this even existed 💀😭
I remember loving this show and “running errands with my mom” was my JAM, especially since that was the Finn voice actor
that was from the incredible crew! i loved that one so much too omg
hatching pete has such a weird place in my heart because it was filmed when i was in elementary school but it was filmed at the high school i went to (which was torn down and a new building was just opened last year). there's no memorabilia in the school, the movie just simply covered up any huskies logos, and all of the game scenes were filmed in the shitty auxiliary gym everyone hated
immediately had to watch this once i saw the So Random topic. idk why but i freaking loved Sonny With a Chance when i was younger so So Random stood out to me but i completely get why it didn’t to others, i know my siblings didn’t really care for it like i did.
that being said.. i wouldn’t go back and rewatch it lmao, i think it definitely was a show for younger me to enjoy and that’s it
awesome video btw! happy to see someone cover this weird show :)
Thank you
In hindsight, Matthew Scott Montgomery’s principal character seemed to channel the same energy as Jay Pharoah’s on SNL, so it’s great that someone in such a different place can tap in like that
I'm someone who was way into Sonny with a chance, but never even knew about So Random until Shayne and Damien joined Smosh and talked about it. Tbh, I don't even know if it ever aired in my country. But Damien and Shayne have consistently been my favorite members since they joined. I mean the current Smosh cast is great, has been, but I love them in particular because they're hilarious and bounce off each other and other members so well. Damien is super quick and witty, Shayne just commits to the bit like his life depends on it (even though he will inevitably break 😂) and gets so silly and over the top. Oh, and I have to mention Matthew Scott because he's been featured on Smosh many times as well, and holy shit you're so right, he's absolute comedic gold.
I remember So Random! creating a general sense of joy in middle school. Cause not everyone watched Power Rangers, not everyone listened to One Direction, but almost everyone watched So Random! You could hear people singing the songs between classes. If you made a reference in class, someone else would finish it. It was a joke everyone was in on
"It's basically 30 Rock for children"
And both are basically Kappa Mikey in live action
I love So Random unlike other Disney Sitcoms at the time it was actually really funny I remember laughing quite a lot, not to mention it gave us the introduction to Shayne Topp and Damien Haas as they went to be cast members on Smosh, and one of the musical guests was even the late Christina Grimmie before she gained worldwide attention on The Voice. Truly a shame it lasted only one season cause I think it had legit potential to be one of Disney Channel’s best series in the 2010 decade.
Nah u tripping, chad was the best character on sonny, like he’s straight out of always sunny
I remember Angus more than I do Rufus, actually. “I narrrr” just stuck in the back of my mind, and when I searched it back up, I can see why. The skit’s still funny to this day imo. The man is an icon.
I honestly loved so random and there's a lot of sketches ingrained in my brain, years later i discovered shayne and damien from smosh were in it and now i'm 22 and still obsessed with them
My headcanon is that season 3 takes place in an alternate timeline where Chad did not get the main role in The Falls. So season 3 Chad chose to audition in So Random as a way to get a foot in the entertainment industry.
Calling Chad Dylan Cooper the least likeable character should be a CRIME
I remember 'So Random' introducing me to Christina Grimmie. I'll never forget that performance of "Advice" and it still has a special place in my heart 😭❤️
It’s so funny because when I saw Shane I was immediately like “he was in smosh!” Which pleased me because when this show aired I was too young to watch/remember any of it
21:41 I only remember Incredible Crew because the voice actor for Finn was a part of it. (no, I am not joking) also socks with sandals has been stuck in my head for God knows how long.
Edit: forgot to mention that finn's voice actor is also the voice of Lance from Voltron legendary Defenders.
Low key bout the sandals song
that's exactly why i watched the series premiere cuz i had a big crush on him lol and then i started watching it just to see him and then i actually started liking it as a guilty pleasure
Sonny with a Chance & So Random was perfect imo. I was sad to see Demi leave but tbh i think they did an amazing job with the switch up.
Sonny had NO chance lol. Sent her ass back home lmaooo
This unlocked a childhood memory I completely forgot I had.
Oh man. You unlocked so many memories. I used to really like this show when I was younger and I even remember trying to watch the episodes on ondemand.
27:40 everytime I hear another banger I always think of the joke from smosh, "Another banger, Another banger by Shayne Topp from ICarly"
Yeah, mythical chef Trevor made a legendary cite
My good sir, you have stumbled upon a *goldmine* of nostalgia content. I didn't even remember watching any of these shows before you mentioned them.

Also, this video made me realize I remember more of this show than I thought I did, lol
Thanks, means a lot.
You’re a legend, Mr.Nostalgia. Been watching you since 2020, keep up the good work.
You were actually right about Damien and Shane. They ended up becoming roommates after being on So Random and became best friends while living together. At least according to them in Smosh videos and podcasts. They for sure have a lot of good chemistry in videos along with the more improv stuff
Man I’m so happy this hit my recommended this morning. I always loved this show as a kid, even though some of it was kinda rough. None of my friends got into it, so it’s cool to see people who were fans of the show.
Also I gotta say, while I came for So Random, I’m definitely sticking around for your other content. Between the Hatching Pete song and the semi awkward fun facts, idk you bring a certain charm to the video on top of a solid analysis
Surprised to find a So Random video essay. It's almost as if they knew I watched that all the time growing up. 😭Didn't think it was as good as Sunny with a Chance, but it was on when other stuff wasn't.
Love the video, So Random was hard for me to return to. All I could think of how different it was from Sonny. This was entertaining
shayne and damien are THEE dynamic duo. but when i think of so random, i think of matthew scott every time. he made that show
I think the funniest part of this is that 'So Random' absolutely sounds more like the name of a fake 'show within a show' than the name of an ACTUAL, unironic show
Such a a great video! You really went in depth on a easily forgettable show from childhood. Reminded me of childhood and unlocked some core memories. I look forward to all the good videos you’ll continue to release! 😊
Thank you
I love this deep dive into such a forgotten show.
Brandon Mychal Smith is also so damn funny on FX’s “You’re the Worst” from 2015-19, where he plays a young rapper who is a super high-maintenance and difficult client for the main character, a publicist for a music production company. He’s arrogant and entitled because of his status & wealth, but also is immature and sensitive because of his young age when he blew up. Despite this, he always recognizes and appreciates the efforts of his publicist, even if he insults her
One of the best parts of an already pretty great show
I love him in that role. Some of his raps are funny and good lol
Glad to see a video of yours getting the recognition your channel deserves bro. Great video, keep it up.
Jeremy Shada having beef with Nick Cannon is so funny he hated that man
What's funny is that Leigh Allen Baker played Trump on the show... I'll leave it at that.
A coincidence I always thought was cool was when I was in the 4th grade I was OBSESSED with So Random when it came out, as well as obsessed with Smosh- so Shayne and Damien being on Smosh was like the ultimate cross over for me when each of them joined
Shayne and Damien are currently carrying all of Smosh. I do think they got better when they joined.
As someone who graduated high school in 2005, I wasn't in the right place at the right time for this one, but one of my most strange memories was being stuck home with the chicken pox and watching All That! in my fever-induced haze. To this day, I don't think i've ever laughed so hard.. but then again, you know, fever. 🤷♀ It's so interesting to read nostalgic comments on these kinds of videos. Have a great day and stay safe
That sounds like a vibe honestly lol
honestly, my parents and i still reference so random all these years later. my favourites were socks with sandals, making babies cry (mightve been sonny with a chance? idk i was obsessed with the song as a kid), the im going to marry zach feldman show, and tantrum girl. zora and nico were my favourites, especially zora because even in sonny with a chance she was the funny weird girl representation i needed from disney, and she was actually funny! i think i had a tiny crush on her growing up, as well. thank u for reawakening several repressed memories
I always wanted them to explain where Sonny went 😭😭 and why Chad was on the show suddenly lol
I’m glad I’m not the only one who remembered that “Let it go” song from Hatching Pete 😂
That song was fire 🔥
It's a banger fr
Went on a binge of your videos and I was genuinely surprised that your first one was only 4 months back-with the Suite Life film. Amazing quality man, keep it up
ive been waiting for someone to upload this video thank you
Im so glad I was a early 2000’s Disney kid, so many great memories with these shows and movies. Glad this video could take me back.
this was early 2010’s
@@Slop_Dogg does that change the fact that I was was a 2000’s kid or have great memories? The comment clearly went over your head or you have nothing better else to do. Have a good one champ.
Yeah, Damien and Shayne are still best friends and actually Matthew and Alyson have both appeared on Smosh Try Not To Laugh and their podcast. Damien and
Shayne have both told some great stories from the set both with them and on their own
I'm 17, and growing up, I don't remember watching Sunny with a chance or so random like I do, Shake it up. I, however, do remember the princess of New Jersey skit, I saw it on yt when I was younger. I did watch Sunny with a chance on Disney+, and it was pretty good🫶🏽
i genuinely thought i’d never seen an episode of so random, turns out i remember a good majority of the sketches. i don’t even know how i managed that lol
Damien and shayne are actually best friends and they talk about so random a lot!
SHAYNE AND DAMIEN I LOVE THEM!!
