Was it Nick or Disney show that Adam Sandler was in as himself at a school dance I think. Ok I remember it was Jessie because of Cameron being in the Grown Up movie. He played himself as a chaperone at the school dance. It makes since because he's rich and they are rich and both live in New York City
You could also for Hannah Montana the episode with the flash back scenes of her mom played by Brooke Shields

Fun fact, some of the american Disney Channel actors made guest appearances in the latin american Disney Channel shows. Bridgit Mendler and Ross Lynch made an appearance on Violetta (and Bridgit did not know spanish and just stood there smiling unknowingly). Sofia Carson, Sabrina Carpenter and Dove Cameron made an appearance on Soy Luna, and those three either spoke spanish, tried to speak spanish, or in Dove’s case, Sofia Carson just translated for her.
It was very interesting.

I think the Austin and Ally episode was good because Dwayne's appearance had him in on the joke, the episode feels like a meme. an NBA player turns out to be very simple minded and is as big of a fan of the main character as the main character is a fan of him. It turns the idea of special guest star episodes on its head by fleshing out the guest star into being his own character in the Austin and Ally world with his own gimmicks.
The Dan Schneider bit was hilarious😂
Also, I never knew Chris Rock did anything on Disney Channel.
I tend to forget Jesse McCartney was a singer. The only thing I remember him for his being the voice of Roxas and Ventus in Kingdom Hearts.

That was something I've never seen before and thought it was a great addition to separate him from the pack. Also it was a huge way of nostalgia seeing the old commercials

Both Jonas and Camp Rock definitely pigeonholed Kevin as the “dumb one” for some reason, even though he’s the oldest (not sure if that’s the case in Camp Rock, as I don’t think they’re related in that film, but it’s definitely the case in Jonas). Joe’s rebel/bad boy persona came out in Camp Rock, especially the first one. Nick as the “sensitive one” was selectively played up as needed in both, especially when he’d fall in love, and he’s definitely got a more mature, “leader of the group” persona in both Camp Rock and Jonas.
To an extent I think their characters in both shows are overexagerated versions of their personalities in real life, you can tell in almost any interview. Kevin is definitely not dumb though, I think he's just not as stern as you expect a big brother to be. He's both laid back and the business/fan relation mind of the group. Also the most relatable in terms of not appearing perfect or unobtainable
@@Jaheartsjonas I think you’re right about that. I definitely remember Joe being called “DJ Danger,” because of how wild he was, and Nick was “Mr. President,” because he was kind of like a mini-adult and always the most professional and business-minded.

The only time I’ve seen a character have no reaction to a celebrity appearing was on Wizards where Alex is like “yeah Dwayne Johnson, you’re a plumber. Good luck with your acting hobby”
To be fair, at the time Dwayne signed on for basically anything. Nowadays there couldn't be any way to get him on Disney Channel, and if they managed, the whole thing would be centered on how great and amazing he supposedly is.

Based on the shows Mr Nostalgia has covered and mentioned watching as a kid, I assume they are in their early 20s, and that Lizzie McGuire was probably before their time
I also figured theyre prolly on the younger side since they did mention having watched Good Luck Charlie like a couple minutes later.

I'm 21 and started watching Disney in 2008, they never reaired reruns of lizzy maguire, Phil of the future, or honestly even that's so raven from 2008 on.
55:33 That background employee is single-handedly keeping Sonic Boom afloat by virtue of being the only employee who does any actual work while Ally is off doing wacky adventures and her dad is somewhere else. Kinda like all those background employees at the Tipton Hotel.
My favorite guest star ep of all time was when Jasmine Guy appeared in KC Undercover. Idk if it technically counts Bc she was playing a character and not herself, but I just loved it as a kid Bc I grew up watching A Different World due to my parents. It was my favorite black sitcom. So when kadeem Hardison flipped his glasses and said “I guess it’s just a different world” or whatever, I legitimately freaked. Unfortunately, I was like 10 so my other 10 year old friends didn’t get the reference from the late 80’s sitcom 😭✋🏾 and I had the nerve to look at them crazy
For @47:30 I think the reason why you thought there was a Rick Ross episode is cause in Austin & Ally they had a character named Shiny Money who was a Rick Ross spoof character that appeared in 2 episodes.

My favorite was the Hannah Montana episode with David Archuleta. 'I Wanna Know You' is such a bop. Also I love how you let the commercial play sometime lol brings back memories.

The celebrity guest star episodes don't seem to happen as much anymore. And I mean celebrity guest stars who DON'T regularly appear in these types of shows or anywhere on the network. And they aren't related to the stars of the show like Terry Crews who guest starred twice in his son's show, Side Hustle. Side Hustle is actually a decent show, by the way. It was basically Sam and Cat done right. The relationships between the leads are actually believable, they don't just babysit kids, they have different types of jobs and it's actually funny. Granted, the first season is a mixed bag but it has since gotten more consistently good in the last few episodes of the season. That show, Warped! and Drama Club were the last good sitcoms Nick had. Screw them for cancelling good shows all the time.
100% agree they were the only reason I still watched nick and now they’re all canceled (that girl lay lay the only show I like left on nick oddly lol)
Never seen Side Hustle, all I know is that it stars some popular UA-cam web stars.
I’m shocked that Shakira on Wizards of Waverley Place wasn’t included she was definitely the most famous guest star Disney pulled and the Nickelodeon one would go crazy ICarly alone had huge guest stars.

As a Jonas fan I'm hype you covered their Hannah Montana episode. Not enough people want to acknowledge how iconic they were and still are 🔥 Looking forward to the Jonas tv show review. Spoiler alert I would say in that show they play overexaggerated versions of themselves. Nick is the super serious, type A personality despite being the youngest, Joe is the funny ladies man and typical middle child, and Kevin is not the brightest but has a heart of gold and fixes the messes his brothers get into. Basically their characters in Camp Rock. I love them but I don't consider them acting during this period because again they almost always played overexagerated versions of themselves. Also btw the best thing about the show is the songs, Work It Out and the theme song are bangers. Their talent has always been in music and songwriting and general relatable personalities as celebrities more than acting imo.
That Hannah Montana phone brought back some memories. When I was little I got a guitar keychain toy at Walmart that used to play like five seconds best of both worlds
One of Todd in the Shadows' earlier videos was when he reviewed the movie AND the guitar game. Bro he was harsh when he was still in the "angry, yelling critic" stage of his career.

I remember watching the triple decker Disney night and looking forward to it - HSM2, jobros hm ep, phineas and fern premiere… legendary night. This episode is still fantastic

Something I found weird going back to the Jonas Brothers episode of Hannah Montana was that they kinda portrayed Nick as the dumb one, when, in both JONAS and the Camp Rock movies, Nick was the smart one and Kevin was the dumb one.

If the Dwayne Wade episode was truly brave it would have gone full misery lol. I covered the Jessie/ANT Farm ones a little while back. The Jessie one was kinda good if nothing super good and the ANT Farm one was sorta mixed, has its moments tho.
i love the times when an actor (whomever, really) comes onto the stage, expecting and waiting with an awkward pause for a loud long applause moment, and there is none.

As i watched this video, there was a stream of consciousness that made me remember an iconic guest appearance at the time. Cheryl Burke on the Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
I loved Dancing with the Stars in its earlier years and when I saw her dance with Esteban, I was hooked. Always one of my favorite episodes and guest appearances even though it remained in the back of my longterm memory.

The Shakira Wizards of Waverly Place episode was an interesting one. The fact that Shakira is actually a 40+ year old man wizard in disguise in Wizards canon is... something. It was just so random. I liked it as a kid though.

If you're open to suggestions, I think a good movie to review would be Lemonade Mouth. It was definitely my favorite DCOM as a kid and personally I still enjoy a casual viewing from time to time. I think it's a solid movie that holds a special place in my heart, but of course it has its moments that are a little cringe (in my opinion those are outweighed by the absolute bangers the soundtrack has to offer). All this makes me very interested in hearing your commentary on the film!

Bronson Pinchot from Perfect Strangers had a role in one of the Shake it Up episodes. Unfortunately it’s one of their worse episodes but it’s so funny to see him in an almost Balki role😂

My favorite episodes in this video are the Austin & Ally one and the Hannah Montana/Jonas Brothers one (that one mostly cuz of the song)
And my favorite Disney Channel guest star episode in general is Selena Gomez on Sonny With A Chance because that was one of the first episodes where Sonny and Chad sort of admitted to having a crush on each other
There are several movies about teen girls dressing as boys for any multitude of reasons. I'm willing to bet they were inspired by any one of those movies for Hannah Montana

Look, I'm gonna be real here and admit that I was one of those kids who really liked danimals. So whenever we got danimals I was looking inside the cardboard package to see if I won the contest where Cole and Dylan Sprouse would make a visit I believe on your birthday. Never won of course but that and those danimals crush commercials always stuck with me.
My favourtie celeberity gues star Disney episode were definitely the Aaron Carter (rip) and Frankie Muinz episodes on Lizzie McGuire.
One of my favorite guest star episodes is from the Proud family and it’s the episode when both sides of Penny’s family came to visit and Oscar’s side was more… hood 😂. Monique and Anthony Anderson played Oscar’s cousins.

The Suite Life episode with Chris Brown only aired a handful of times, and it got banned because of what he did to Rihanna, nor is it on Disney+. I'm guessing u r gen Z so ppl in ur age group most likely grew up not even knowing about that episode, which is 1 of 2 to get banned

My favorite guest star episode is Mighty Med (S1E18) with Adrian Peterson, every other guest star gets to play a superhero but he plays himself and I have a great time watching it
