I bought this set after using the Rigid for years. I like the canteliver unit and drawers. The canteliver unit, I removed the trays on the bottom, out a padding and the 2 drills , battery charger and batteries fir perfect with no moving !👍

Excellent review. I read it today 6/5/23 and was convinced. But a little voice hounded me to check it out one more time. A lot has changed in the year after your review. Here's what I found:
    1. The other two rolling containers do NOT lock anymore. So they are not members of the Husky Connect system.
    2. The smaller of these two is NOT available anymore.
    3. The locking mechanism for the system (on the sides of the containers) are NOT metal. They are made of a metal colored plastic, although there is a metal clasp bar within.
    4. The mid-size container in either of the two 3-piece introductory sets is NOT available as a single item for purchase.
So I am re-evaluating. Again thanks.

That cool little hooking feature on the handle is called continual improvement. Husky better have such things after all their years in the industry.

    Great review!
Appreciate you going thru all the pieces.
For the price it has A LOT to offer.
There are also a lot of smaller containers that can be added for additional storage.

Great review. I have been using this system for special fx makeup work for quite a few years, and it hasn’t disappointed. I have all of the components (and in some cases like the totes and drawers, multiple of those) and appreciate how easy it is to customize the set up to the job. A small job may only need a couple of boxes, whereas in haunt season, I may be bringing everything from the studio (including air compressors and some other heavy supplies. I have dragged it through mud, dirt, rocks, gravel, grass, snow, rain, and you name it. The rolling bottom unit has held up well. A big plus for this unit is that it is smaller than some of the higher end pack outs, which makes it easier to get through doorways and halls. The size is perfect for individual units (in particular the drawers which I use for brushes) to sit on my workspace to help keep me organized. LIt is also easier to load into the back of the Jeep. I like the black color since it helps it blend into backstage or set areas, or for hiding in the corner of a haunt. I ldid buy the larger bottom unit, but don’t like using it as much with the other pieces. I modified two of the totes into one larger one (saw someone on YT had done that) to store bottles which were too large tall to stand upright in a single tote. Overall, no complaints.

I agree with your assessment. I have all the Husky connect system pieces and like them a lot for their organization and good price. I also have the Dewalt Tough System 1.0 and 2.0 and have used it in my profession for I'd say 5 plus years. In comparison I like the smaller size and better organization capability of the Husky system and I use it as an all around tool box system like you would a metal tool box. I have several drawer units and the nice thing is I can unstack the units and reconfigure them if I need to transport the boxes or set up a smaller mobile box for some remote work. Imo the Husky system is better suited for the more fastidious worker that likes the organization but knows how to treat their tool boxes with reasonable care, and of course most of the units are not highly water resistant like Dewalts and Milwaukees systems. I use my Dewalt system for job site work when the boxes need to be exposed to the elements for long periods of time.

I have and use this Husky connect system, my everyday every job kit consists of the open tote with the two drawer unit connected below.
Today 9/7/22 I called Husky to find out if more items were in the works. Husky phone center is really Home Depot and they know nothing that isn't on their website. Was given the number to the actual vendor (manufacture) which is Keter. Called them and horrible customer service. Having used the Husky connect for several months now I'd really like to build out my work van with a complete Husky storage system however with no product support I can't justify spending a few hundred bucks on anymore of these Husky Connect products. I'm looking at the Dewalt Tstak and tough systems.

The real reason why dewalt or Milwaukee is 3-time mores expensive, is not because the product is far more superior, it is because of the additional cost that has to be covered from aggressive marketing campaigns. Dewalt and Milwaukee are both owned by global conglomerates that are mostly concerned with margins not necessarily quality .don't get me wrong they do make good products, but their products are over priced and that's because of all the money that goes into their market campaigns.
