- Don't worry, no vintage signs where harmed in the making of this video. Even better we show you step by step how we made our replicas that we used on our Hookers and Blow rat rod truck build.
We use the Mittler Brothers 36" bead roller to give some dimension to the sign. You can find it by trick tools on Ebay here: ebay.us/UZ6R4c

That was a lot of work but they turned out awesome. I like the way you made look old. I think your wife had way to much fun jumping on them. Lol
Fantastic Job !!! Just the right look ! Perfect !
You and Julie work well together, very nice work.
Briliant! I'd love to hear what the collectors say.
You're a freakin' artist!! You did an amazing job!!!
Thanks!
I think that the sign idea turned out great! You didn’t destroy a vintage sign in the process- but you nailed the look that you were going for. I know that it was a lot of work but this truck is going to be a show stopper when you get there! Well done!!
Thank you!
I love that you built your own sign and not an old one
Looks really good! Can't wait to see her flying down the road.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Long as it looks good to you, that’s all that really matters. I would have rather have old wood or even rusty tin would have looked better to me IF it was mine.
Signs: I was skeptical, but they turned out well. Nicely done.
Amazing work! I never would have guessed those weren't 70 years old signs!
I was like wow! your makeing the sides yourself! Its really starting to come together.
TOTALLY AWESOME REPLICATION OF "ORIGINAL" SIGNS Anthony and Fantastic Work By Julie Too 🤪🤪 !!! LOL, Have a Blessed Wknd Folks.
Hey Tony and Julie
The TEXACO sign was a perfect one to duplicate.
Doing the embossing rather than just paint was a stroke of genius !
Your techniques for aging the paint worked perfect.
The view with the big duals was long awaited and totally rocks the truck.
The project is not yet finished but my hat is tipped to you.
Amazing job making & aging those signs they look really authentic.
Looks great, glad you didn't go with license plates. You should go into the repop sign business.
You guys have nailed it! It really is hard to make something new look old so that's why I will be keeping my 1954 3100 pick up in it's raw form!
Had me fooled, I thought those signs were the real deal, good job. I’ve used a similar process of walking on something on concrete but had to use an old chain to get the dings.
I thought the “aging” process was totally going to include a bullet hole or two…
As usual in awe of your skills and initiative.
👍🇨🇦
If you are one who is two.
Yeah,,,or a buckshot i guess would be awesome too.
I'm amazed at the aging effect you achieved on that sign. Great job!
I think the Texaco panels came out great, nice job
You're an artist! That looks awesome!!! Looks like you're going to "blow" us away on the next video.
I think the amount of work you put into the signs was well worth it,they look great.
This is turning into a really sharp hot rod, keep up the great work bro 👍😎🇺🇸
You did a great job on the sign , it looks really cool
I honestly didn't think that sign would look vintage but now that it's done it is amazing !! Great job
ROFL @ the pained look when Julie is walking on the panel
The bed sides turned out sweet. Great job 👍👍🇨🇱
Cool look for H&B. Can't wait for the next vid. You're now gettin into my wheelhouse!!
Such an awesome build, I love it great work.
I really thought that was a real Texaco sign wow. That sign looks great and I can't believe how you aged it so good. I really do love how the truck looks with those signs on it, its looking better and better every video. Keep up the great work and God Bless you and your family. 🔥💯💪🏼👍👍🙏🙏✌😊✌

Hey Tony!!! Man, the bed sides turned out killer!!! Maybe a random "bullet hole" or two? Nice job in the fakeout too!!!
My son bought a Detroit City Limit sign, and before he hung it, he put a few bullet holes in it to make it look more authentic.
Man! My forearm hurt watching all that trimming with those tin snips! Looks great tho
😂😆😂
👍👍👍👍yes sir
Absolutely amazing, you are very talented Anthony, I thought Conner was your son , and I all ready mailed your letter before you responded on the other video, oh well let’s just say your a great role model for the young feller, the sign looks old as the hills , lol, later buddy
Thanks again brother!
@@HardCoreFab 👍👍
That area on the corner of cab is beggin for a fire putter outter. Love these videos. What's the next build.
Yeah that may happen!
After this we need to finish up old crow and then........
I would have been fine with you using an original sign. Bit yours looks great 👍
An original one that size goes for way more than we could afford then X that by two and our only option was to make our own
@@HardCoreFab oh I know they are expensive. I've seen enuff picking shows to know they are very expensive. Don't get me wrong. Inlived the final product of yours! It just adds to the I built the entire thing. Lovecwatching what you do. And dream I could donwhat you do. I only work on campers for a living. But like you. I love it.
💯🔥
👍💯
Looks good like the sine idea are you going to put something on the doors
I think so not sure if it can happen before Sema but yeah....
Absolutely f#@kin amazing! Can I as how long the signs took from start to finish?
I didn't keep track but I would guess 15 man hours a side to get to the point where it's bolted to the truck
