i didn't get what i wanted here because you turned off clips

Finding out you've been cheated on is the most complex combination of emotions.
Yeah but me processing emos is like this is y I hate humans. I really don't think I'm some psychic & I'm this highly intuitive person. It's just ppl do have patterns, histories, & holes in their stories that legitimately don't make sense. Start piecing ish together & then in my in short not permafd... Head, it's like ugh! Ppl r so FN predictable! How the f am I supposed to react then? Practice surprise face? Bc I feel nothing... I saw it coming before it happened anyways. Me moments & moments later: I really honestly have no clue y I'm triggered by certain things but I'm in the future now & wtf. Navigating to find my own core of things is like yeah. My ish must be deep deep. It's no where even near surface level.
@@ahhwe-any7434 Well there is an old saying that you can't cheat an honest man. We are all full of varying degrees of facade and suppressed emotion. I have a lot of work to do in that regard, but I do know that the more sincere you are as a person, the more able you are to detect sincerity or lack of it. It's sort of like how dogs bark at one person at the door and not another, they can sense energy and the emotional condition just emanating from each person, regardless of how that person's facade may fool people.
The way to get more sincere is to be truthful with ourselves about our own true emotions. So when we let ourselves truly feel all of our actual feelings in totality, we increase our capacity to feel, and become inherently more honest. We are not lying to ourselves.
I think mental illness comes from trying to suppress what is actually there, or judge it, instead of just allowing the emotion to flow and be released, like a baby does, which is a much shorter process. You can see how our grief and emotion is suppressed from birth until we are a mess as an adult. I am a work in progress but I have noticed this to be true in the emotional work I've done so far.
@@ahhwe-any7434 you're also very predictable, but you won't admit your faults to yourself when analyzing yourself, because you don't actually want to know and admit the truth, because the truth hurts. Just like people who suspect their partners of cheating don't want it to be true, so they rationalize their sad reality to a point where it hurts the least at that point and time. It's very easy to lie, to yourself and others, and to live in those lies. It's a lot harder to be genuine. And "genuine" is what your body wants, but what your mind walks around in chase of easier pleasure.
the face of Julia Roberts when he tells her "you fucked up slag" is incredibly well acted. She looks ghastly, in the sense that she seems in a state of shock
Interesting I never interpreted it that way. She seems drained and annoyed to me.
yeah she looks gaunt
This scene... " BECAUSE IM A FUKING CAVEMAN!!!!" 😅😅😅Definitely the most memorable scene for me. Its brilliantly done. Clive Owen goes all in. So intense but sometimes i bust out laughing, because Cluve Owen loses his $hit lol " These 4 actors made this movie. Its one of my favorites.
He asked all these things to make sure he hated her for life. The moment he cried and hugged her, he knew that he would start justifying her cheating on him subconsciously. So to make sure he didn't give in to such forgiveness. He took the hardest pill.
Well he ends up taking her back and they stay married 😂
Actually he begs for her to come back to him 😂
Correct. The more it hurts, the more you can hate them, the easier it is.
People do this subconsciously all the time even without cheating. They will create a monster to hate so they can more easily push it away.
Yes, they got back together, but that isn't the point of this scene.
@@ttt69420 actually it is the point. It shows that hate can be just as powerful as love. You still carry that person with you, and obsess over them. You’re not over them and you are held hostage by your own rage. So yeah it’s not easier 😂
@@amberviolet2236 No, it isn't the point. What you're stating is the reality. The point of wanting to know every detail is as previously stated in the original comment. It not working is irrelevant. The fact that it doesn't work is exactly why it's so self-destructive.
Closer is a theater play, and is marvelous to watch all this diaplay of emotions live.
"I treat you like. a whore"
"Sometimes"
"Why would that be?" lol I'm dead, Clive Owens. 👌
That is devastating when your partner desires someone other than you 💔😭
This movie rules. Unbelievable screenplay.
It was adapted from the play (which was obvious at some moments), so give credit to the play.
I don't remember alot about this movie, but I remember this scene when he asks for specifics about her affair, I thought it was so gangster he was my favorite character.
I probably shouldn’t have laughed so hard at “because I’m a fucking caveman”
This film is so good, even though this clip in isolation makes it seem mental 😂
“See he tastes like you only sweeter” I bet that line came from this movie.
It did
Men and their Muse that is my favorite line by Julia in this movie 👍
Clive Owen was amazing in this movie😂😂😂😂🤷🏽♀️ it aged well
I love this movie 💜💙 All amazing actors!! 👏👏
This movie is the most romantic movie I have ever known.... they all looked believable.
I wish I'd have been clever with my words as this rehearsal, it woulda made me feel better
Because I am a fucking caveman gets me every time bwahahaha
Essa cena é uma das mais f**dass do cinema. Eu amo. Tem tanta coisa pra absorver dela. Os dois atores estao perfeitos.
Amazing acting by Natalie Portman in this film
Who???
@@user-tx2rc2ft6w Natalie Portman who plays Jane Jones in this film. She won an Oscar for Black Swan?
I would give this a 10. That was an easy 10.
If only soaps still did scenes like this!
Is he crazy????? 😅😅😅😅😅😅
He comes home and tells her he cheated on her in a hotel and still calls her names when she too reveals she cheated. Bro you are just as bad. The audacity.
The double standards
Right?
@@queeneliane7745 exactly sis. With a prostitute at his hotel but she's the called the who're.
While I get your point, he only effed the woman. She was emotionally and physically cheating him for over a year.
@@ADcrackerjack I have a point. You have no point. Don't engage further with me if this is your level of reasoning and logic.
Clive walks funny
He loved someone more who was already in another relationship, who only wanted him because he was a better fuck
100 times better than ANIMAL (a bollywood movie 2023)
You’re here after Jammy’s reference 😅
Same
Two different industries targeted for two different populations. Now all bollywood movies are shit but most are
Agreed. But the acting (except ranbir, who did act as per the director, if we forget about the toxicity of the character) and intensity to convinve audience about the reason was not there in 'animal'@@chamchamz98
LA DE VARIOS......................
..
lmao wtf is this
Ikr I’m like high af rn but I can’t stop watching
did you wach the movie?
no@@ansaksa
Dude watch it, the movie is so good.
It's a porno w/ Jessica Parker but w/ more words 🌠. And that Harvard perfume person, I think, is a stripper
How do I get this movie?
I will
Why was Julia Roberts crying after cheating on Clive Owen?
Is it a ritual to cry after cheating?
Nah it's because women are always the victim, even when they're the culprit. Remember that.
Honesty. We had our first fk on this. Did you think of me.
Clive Owen's character needs bi-polar meds and a sedative. Way too hyped up,borderline manic in every scene including with Natalie Portman.
Ok, it's so strange, that my emotions from watching parts of this movie mostly stayed the same after seeing it for the first time when I was like 16 (now I'm 30) 🙃 And what I mean is, watching it makes me cringe and laugh at the most intense moments, because it feels a lot like witnessing someone's rough sexual fantasy, not a "normal" human interaction scenario. Thanks to the comments, I understand the point about him a possessive alpha male as the point for his behavior here. But the vibe of the whole movie still makes me intensely uncomfortable to the point of wanting to look away. Feels dirty somehow 🥴 I like erotic themes in movies, and they can be also complex emotionally, here it feels too intimate, violent, kind of disgusting
While I write this, I think, maybe that's the point 😂
Probably I should rewatch the whole movie (and maybe understand it more)
😂😂😂😂😂
Mr Owen is hawt in this movie 🤭
This literally made me sick to my stomach I can feel my intestine’s closing that’s how much my anxiety is getting to me right now.
I would never want to hear all this I would just walk out of the relationship.
First off great thumbnail. lol Julia looks like a rottweiler. A cute one. This is the first of two films I think she did with Clive and he out acts her in both IMO. He just embodies his characters while she just acts. Great acting but not the same.
he tastes like you but sweeter!
Her favorite color- blu.
wtf I have to watch this mobie
Name of the movie?
Closer
Um no.
Inwonder if men can relate to his way of thinking ?
I'm not saying that cheating is alright, she didn't have ti lie to him, she was definetly dependend on his money and security.
But I really wonder if men in general can relate to all the stuff he's saying in this scene.
If so, than I am actually kinda scared ...
wtf
exactly lmao
Is this Trudeau’s new movie about his divorce?
No. Ur a sad story.
Um no on this too.
She’s got some big teeth
she’s famous cause of those big ol teeth. they’re insured for $30mill
This movie is toxic
I know, right? I mean, I know it's supposed to be raw and all but... why are people glorifying Clive's character? He is just as toxic and flawed as the rest of them.
That's ridiculous. It's a movie.
@@yeshv1989Na! We tell others how to greev loss of loved ones who are not dead! 😮 he needed to never luve her. 😅
The unknown is a slow death. 😢
This movie is a train wreck
Julia Roberts acting isn’t good
