Like reality. Sadly people are mostly under the impression good wins out over bad the most often and it's actually not true in all actuality more often then not there is no real good or bad victims are never really just Victims villains are never truly just villains. Only in cases such as the defiling of innocence is it ever truly black and white yet those are the cases that most go unjustified

Unpopular opinion acoming but I don’t think Briany lied (based on film). At the time she didn’t know who it was, she just assumed it was Robbie because she saw him with her sister and thought he was a predator. Only when she realised Cumberbatch pursued Juno to marriage did she have the epiphany that she actually saw cumberbatch, new information can literally change your interpretation of memories. she believed it was Robbie at the time, but soon realised she made a mistake and finally put all the puzzle pieces together. She shouldn’t have insisted she saw him if she wasn’t sure, but she might have actually been sure in her own mind.

I first saw Benedict Cumberbatch in Atonement, not knowing him in any other movies before. And girl, his hateful role and his acting had such a deep impact on me that for a time I wouldn't watch other movies/shows of him (particularly Sherlock) because he made me uncomfortable 😂

sadly this is the first role I saw him, juno and saorise in. It’s burned forever in my memory but I’m happy all of them came up as they so deserved. All of them unbelievably talented but these characters live rent free in my head forever😅 a powerful movie that definitely earned best film of the year.

THAT’S where I first remembered him from!! I knew I had seen him in something when he got cast as Dr Strange. I used to watch Atonement quite a bit because I was in love with James McAvoy (still am too 😂)

When I watched the end of this movie I thought Robbie and Cecilia were reunited until the old lady made a statement. I felt so sorry for both of them that their unfinished stories affected me deeply and it has now become my favorite movie.

There are so many good actors in the movie (I haven't seen the whole thing) I know them all from less.... Complicated-to-detestable roles and I'm so impressed by how much they made me hate them even though I know I like them irl 😂😂

I have perhaps the opposite view as so many others here. I am not a Cumberbatch fan at all, I’ve found him grating ever since Sherlock made so aggravating the character I loved so much in the books. With how chilling he is in this role, I actually like his portrayal a lot more, because they’re not trying to frame his character as a good guy.

When I realized who he was after watching like a full season of Sherlock I was shocked! I hated this character soo much. The whole movie was disturbing. Thank goodness I didn’t make the connection until after I started watching Sherlock. I probably wouldn’t have watched. He’s clearly a great actor and a good person

I love this movie. I think it’s beautiful and terrible. I can’t watch it very often though because it’s heartbreaking.
That scene in the coffee shop where C barely touches Robbie’s hand and he’s just totally undone.
    James McAvoy is underrated.
