    Hey Tim! I'm popping through some of your Bibles reviews. You're making some really nice videos. Good work!

      Thanks so much, Jason! I'm going to invest in some new gear at the end of the year, so hopefully my production value will get better. Not sure I will ever get to the pro quality of your content, but I'm gonna keep at it.

    The PSQ NKJV in blue goatskin may be the best feeling BIBLE I have known

    I have the original NASB PASQ in black goatskin. A very deep and rugged with swirls in the grain. I was floored with it.
    It was my first one and it was and still is amazing. I bought one for my son and the NASB Quentel as well; these didn’t have as a deep and variable grain.
    Still beautiful though.
    I’ll be buying all new PSQ ESV’s for my family. I really do think they are the perfect go anywhere bible.

      Agreed... such a great "on-the-go" Bible.

    I love the NASB translation and Schuyler Bibles!

    The purple NRSV that you reviewed recently is also very good in that it is between the PSQ size in the regular Quentel size so that is really important to me and I think that size is my favourite and you're right the reading and legibility of it is outstanding I'm going to go back and look at your review again.

    I like the move to smaller bibles. With good PRINT.
    Bot the compact NASB you unboxed today. Also have the PSQ NASB. Thanks.

    I got the personal size Quentel in the new King James version today in the blue goatskin and I have on order the black one of The New American Standard Bible 95. Only colour left last nite.

    Hello Sir,
    May I ask if it also comes with a red letter NASB Schuyler PSQ in 2020 text?
    Thank you. 😊

    • @timwildsmith
      @timwildsmith  3 роки тому +1

      Schuyler has a new Bible coming out next year called the "Stridon" that will feature the 2020 text, but they have said that the Quentels will continue to use the 1995 text. I don't think they've done an NASB PSQ with red letter.

    Tim. Other than Schuyler PSQ and Cambridge Clarion, is there another Premium option for an NASB small bible?

    Do you prefer goatskin or calfskin for durability and longevity? I plan on not totally babying it.

    Any interest in selling me that bible? That's the exact version and color I want but can't find it. You mentioned how you love the imperial blue, I'd buy you one of those and trade for the brown if you're interested. Great review, and great video! 😊👍🏼

    • @timwildsmith

      I prefer the overall shape and size of the Schuyler, but the single-column layout of the Clarion is great... I'd let your interior preference be the deciding factor.

    I was always told that the only real Bible was the KJV so why would you buy any other version?

    • @timwildsmith
      @timwildsmith  3 роки тому +2

      I love the KJV, but I disagree with the idea that it's the "only real Bible."

    • @erickus36
      @erickus36 3 роки тому

      @@timwildsmith Could you explain why please? Cause I was under the impression that only the KJV contains the real word of God! Surely you know that the ESV is not the same as the KJV?

    • @timwildsmith
      @timwildsmith  3 роки тому +1

      @@erickus36 I'm not quite sure what you mean by the "real word of God." The KJV is a translation that was worked on by a group of scholars from the 17th century. Their process of working from both Hebrew and Greek manuscripts of the scriptures as well as prior translations (Tyndale, Cloverdale, Bishop's Bible, etc.) is well documented. Perhaps "real word of God" implies that the KJV has some sort of special inspiration that other translations don't have... I just don't see any reason why that would be the case (and the folks who translated the KJV don't seem to have thought that either). Modern translations are crafted in much the same way that the KJV was, by a team of translators working with the most up-to-date and best versions of the texts in the original languages.

    • @erickus36
      @erickus36 3 роки тому

      @@timwildsmith I see your point. But, I was told that in the ESV for example they were some words replaced and some orhers taken out! Anyway , thank you for taking the time for this exchange !
