No, Ali had a style for the era that's it. What else's did he do Nothing it had been done before and after just the 1st on camera and the 1st black guy and everybody else followed suit. But nothing new to fighters.

@@scott4766 he didn't said that ali invented his fighting style. He just said that he had every tool a fighter can have which I disagree with since Ali didn't have 1 hit ko power and good mix up combinations since he rarely goes to body
In fact ali only threw a handful of body shots in his entire career
Edit: if I were to call fighter who had everything then it would be robinson or lightweight duran
Both of em had it all speed, power, chin, infighting, feints, etc..

He did not have a knockout punch. That is the only major thing about Muhammad Ali that was lacking.
The only man people have consistently ranked ahead of him on all time lists is Joe Louis Barrow. It is because Joe Louis Barrow had every tool in the book. Foot speed may have been a little bit lacking, but when he caught you, there was no getting away

Most excellent, I watched from start to finish! It was so full of rare shots that I've been trying to find on YT for a long time! I'm talking about the stare down between Liston and Ali while getting instructions! Things I didn't really know about Carnera and others that were swindled out of money! Some ended so bad it's hard to fathom even though I'm sure I read it somewhere! Great footage! I haven't followed boxing for a long time so this was time well spent watching this! Good job!

Larry Holmes was the next great boxer that was keft out of this list. How can you possibly not have him in this group. One of the greatest power jabs by any boxer. Won 21 straight title fights with 20 of then defending all comers. He beat Spinks in the rematch, but it was Spinks who was gifted the win by split decision. Spinks then was stopped in 91 seconds by Tyson. Tyson then gave the retired Holmes a crack at the belt, and even though he was stopped in the 4th round he lasted longer than Spinks did. He also went the distance against a prime Evander Holyfield trying to become champ again at 43 year's old. He then worked his way back to a title fight at 45years old against the 30 year old Oliver McCall who just knocked out Lennox Lewis. Holmes lost by a close decision. At 48 year's old Holmes last fight for a title he lost by split decision. His record was 69-6! Not sure if the Butterbean fight was held against his great accomplishments, or someone involved in making this video doesn't like Larry Holmes. Still one of the greatest in my opinion, but what do I know?

@badchoices7152 You know a lot more than most. Your words were very kind indeed for a Great World Heavyweight Champion. Holmes was cheated by the gangsters in the sport of boxing. It's a dirty game, but I don't know if Larry was the best, but he won the two Spinks fights. He wasn't allowed to retire undefeated. I believe Ali's fights with Liston and Foreman were fixed. Ali lost at least 2 fights against Ken Norton. Tyson in his prime looked unbeatable, but alcohol and drugs beat Iron Mike. None of Larry's victories were fixed. I think Larry Holmes was the Greatest. Yes, I now say Larry was the best. He had to knock most of his opposition out in order to secure his wins.

Even then they all knew Ali was not right and he was already taking medication for his Parkinson's syndrome before that fight. His crowning and most bragged about achievement was beating someone late in their years for boxing with brain damage. Maybe if he would have been more humble about it most people wouldn't think he is an ass.

@billy bob Holmes beat Earnie Shavers, Gerry Cooney, Tim Witherspoon. James Bonecrusher Smith, Leon Spinks. Trevor Berbick, Carl William's, Mike Weaver, Ray Mercer, Ken Norton, etc. He beat many top level boxers who were young, in and around their primes, when Larry beat them. He had a fantastic career. Witherspoon, L. Spinks, Berbick, Smith, Weaver, Norton, all held one of the heavyweight world championships at one time. Larry is the best heavyweight since Ali left boxing, IMO. Better than Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Klitschko brothers, etc.
Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali are the two best heavyweight champions in boxing history. After them, we can talk about Holmes, Foreman, Marciano, Frazier, Johnson, Dempsey, Holyfield, Tyson, Lewis , Liston, etc.

How, just how is it possible that in 2021, we've still got people like you among us, who still haven't worked out it's impossible for any God to exist? And if any higher power does exist, then it can only be, and must be the devil? I mean, seriously, it's now gone beyond all the previously known levels and depths of idiocy and outright stupidity. So maybe you religious could try answering this for once in your lives??
These religious still can't prove what they all claim they believe in, even exists? They've had over 2000 years, to come up with just one thing?. One single thing, that conclusively proves all they believe in, to be true?. 2000+ years man! And after many of mankind's greatest minds, have studied, researched, and looked for something, anything at all, to prove this myth? And yet all have come up with absolutely nothing, not one single thing in over 2000 years?
Yet the religious will tell you, that God sent his own son (born to a virgin mother), to earth, to teach and to prove to mankind of his father's existence, right?. So, am I missing something here? Why aren't the religious all asking, where is this proof of his father's existence? We have none? So let's just stop and think here for a minute?
Now, how can these people, who all "claim" they really do believe, do so, without ever seeing any proof? The truth is something all of us know, really, as we all have our very own inquisitive minds, so we all know that it's actually impossible for anyone of us to really believe a word of it? Because our very own human, inquisitive minds, will never stop demanding the proof to believe it.
Our very own human minds will always be nagging away at us in the background, asking for the proof to believe it. It will never stop nagging away at us, demanding the proof to believe it, It's actually known as a "human trait". And all of us know this fact!
We humans, never believe anything at all, without first having proof. You can think about anything we, as humans, do, in this world? And you'll always come to find we only ever believe what we can prove. We never believe anything at all without first having it proven. Not ever! And we all know this? What we always do, is we prove what we think, before we ever believe it, right?.
We take any “theory” and we try to prove that theory, If we can prove that theory, then that theory becomes a scientific fact. If, on the other hand, we can't prove our theory, we never just believe it? It would be complete madness to do so. The amount of catastrophic mistakes we'd have already made, by not requiring proof to believe something, would have seen us making huge, enormous, catastrophic mistakes, we'd of perished long ago.
So this should show anyone, (who actually thinks about it). That these religious people, are all actually liars? Think about it?
They're all people that don't really believe it, as explained above, it's impossible for them to really believe it. So why do we see these people so prepared to lie about this? It's obvious really?, these people are actually scared that if they're wrong?, and if a God does exist?, they think they might be sent to hell for all eternity. So we watch them, and read them, all lie through their teeth about their own so-called belief?.
They can't think much of their God?, who they say is omniscient (knows everything), if they think he won't know the truth, and know they're lying LOL. If we could put every religious person on a lie detector test today, and ask them outright, if they believe?, not one, not even the Pope himself would pass.
The religious go about things in a remedial, nonsensical way, they make no sense, none, not even a little sense. If we can't prove something, we don't ever simply just believe it, man. Especially something you want to live your own life following?. That's actually no different from following a lunatic who claims he comes from the Sun! It's no different from believing in Santa Claus! Except believing in Santa, doesn't cause war, murder, hate and loathing between mankind? No, only religion manages to do that.
Now, one thing we always read from the religious people?, Is them saying, it's not down to them to prove anything, but It's up to us to prove them wrong? Well, okay, that's not a problem? As I can actually prove that it's impossible for there to be a God? You only need to ask the right questions, and everybody can prove it to themselves. And prove it categorically, conclusively, leaving you in no doubt whatsoever. Like this?
Both Christianity and Islam's, most fundamental belief is... That God is the Sovereign Creator, upholder, and ruler of the universe. And that he is eternal (ever lasting), omnipotent (having unlimited power), omniscient (knows everything), and omnipresent (is everywhere).
Well okay sure... Only, I'll now prove, with just (three very simplistic, easy to understand, questions), that what they all claim they believe in, can't be a God? It's actually impossible for it to be a God? You only need to ask these (three very simplistic, easy to understand, questions) to yourselves, to prove this to yourselves? Questions like this?...
      1. If the so-called God/Allah (controller and ruler of everything) is willing to prevent evil? But not able to prevent evil? Then it is not “omnipotent” (having unlimited power), proving it is no God. Do you understand that? Don't move on until you do understand that.
      2. If the so-called God/Allah (controller and ruler of everything) is able to prevent evil? But not willing to prevent evil? Then it is “malevolent” (having or showing a wish to do evil to others), proving it is no God. Do you understand that? Don't move on until you do understand that.
      3. If the so-called God/Allah (controller and ruler of everything) is able to prevent evil? And is willing to prevent evil? Then why is there evil?
Now, because there is evil in this world, proves it's actually impossible for there to be a God! Because, If there is a God, who is omnipotent (having unlimited power). And is not malevolent, (wanting to do harm to others). There would be no Evil? Do you understand this? Don't move on until you do understand that.
Then you'll also now understand, that If a (higher power) does exist? Then it actually must be, and can only be the Devil? Do you understand this? Don't move on until you do understand that. This is undeniable, categorical, 100% proof, that If a (higher power) does exist, then it actually must be, and can only be the Devil?
Think about it?, use your own minds, this proves that to be the case. You only need to ask those questions yourself to prove it to yourselves. This proves it, and proves it beyond any doubt whatsoever! If you don't think it does? Answer it!
Well, It doesn't actually matter if you think so or not, as this is proof that you can only be following, and believing in the Devil. So, whether you like it or not, or whether you think so or not?, is actually irrelevant, as this proves that's exactly what you're following. Maybe you'd also like to answer this?
Now, you'll see some religious person, try to tell me, that those (three very simplistic, easy to understand, questions), are not valid? Why? Because God is the all mighty, the all powerful, so my meaningless questions aren't worthy of a response, as my own intelligence, is not great enough to ever question any of God's motives! (the same God, I've just proven is impossible to exist, mind you) LMAO.
So, the reality is?, that all of a sudden, those (three very simplistic, easy to understand, questions), actually become questions, that the religious will tell you, you need 6 degrees and a doctorate in religious history, to be able to ask? LOL

(Not trying to be funny, I’ll take a chuckle, I’ve just been a boxing guy)
It’s just my belief that martial arts, without the grappling, focuses on offense. Hence why an mma fight is only 25 min and you focus taking out your opponent hence why an mma guy feels confident against a boxer. Only as I’ve known from a brief boxing experience, a boxer has to focus his training on hitting of course, that’s easy part of training, include training not to get hit, condition to go 15 rounds, not the modern era 12 for a fight, but the 15 just for reassurance, and, you gotta prepare TO GET HIT WHILE YOU ARE GOING THROUGH THE FIRST 3 circumstances during a fight. I will say that a boxing guy hates wrestling n wouldn’t succeed as an mma guy in my opinion.
