An electrifying contest, one of the best fights ever and a great video, with the weigh ins, hype and post fight analyses. Tyvm! It was a close fight, I saw Oscar win more rds, but didn’t get the decision. Mayweather did land a few harder punches to the head that visibly rocked Oscar though. It’s Quality vs Quantity. Oscar our boxed Mayweather for most of the fight and made him look like a novice in a few rds. But he punched himself out a bit and Mayweather’s big punches that connected cleaner carried the day. I really felt that Oscar won on points though, but the judges have their own special way of scoring fights overall and not just accumulating points over the total rds, the way that any normal person would. They give extra points for rds with flashy punches and take off points for earlier rds that had less flashy punches, but were still won fairly, by the sheer volume of punches. So they basically don’t score the fight by adding up the points of every Rd. They look at the condition of the boxers at the end and score the fight in favour of the boxer who looks sharper at the end. Then retro score the rds to make it look like they were scoring every Rd as they happened and then add them all up, which is how it should be done. In other words it was rigged, Oscar won and was robbed by crooked judges.
