The simple way to provide infusoria to our betta fry is to put cruchy leaves of talisay leaves or indian almond leaves during the breeding process in the long run the leaves melts and with the help of tiny organisms naturally develop in the breeding cage it will gradually produce infusoria, and base on my observation betta fry can be able to survive within a week or two without giving them anything as long as you cover them with a net to avoid mosquitoes to lay their eggs.
I always have decomposing dried indian almond leaves and dried banana leaves in my fry tank, but there was not enough infusoria for a hundred fry to consume. So based on my personal experience, it would still be better to feed them infusoria from outside source other than what within their tank could produce.
@@NStalgia070 I only feed them infusoria within 5 to 7 days after they are free-swimming. After that I prefer feeding them with baby brine shirmp for faster growth. But you can actually continue to feed them infusoria until they are 3 weeks old.
Sorry for late response. The thing about the pond is there might be other organism that would prevent or prey on the infusoria that you're suppose to culture.
Sorry for late response. Bacteria is inevitable, but your infusoria is preying on them. That's why the water in your culture gradually becomes clear as your infusoria populates the whole container. And they will eventually crash if you dont feed them bacteria from decaying organic materials. What is important is giving your fry little amount of your culture so their water parameter will not be affected.
Regular water change is a must for a healthy growth of your fry. But that doesn't mean a 100% water change; that will cause them what we call osmotic shock where there is a sudden change in the water parameters. I do 30 to 40% water change every week. I also put live plants and apple snail in their tank so the snail could consume the uneaten food.
There are at least 2000 species of infusoria so it is really hard to identify what type of infusoria you were able to culture. Unless you have a microscope. What is important is you can see microorganisms swimming in your culture by just using your celphone camera through zooming it in.
Di ko pa natry ang yeast dhil lagi naman akong may saging at lettuce sa bahay kaya di na ako need bumili ng yeast. Sabi nila mas mabilis daw kung yeast gamit. Pero ang secret tlga dyan ay preparation. 1 week before breeding my betta, nagpprepare na ako ng infusoria culture.
Hehe, gawa ka vlog nyan bro para makatulong sa mga hobbyist. Basta ako di na kailangan bumili ng yeast at lagi kmi may saging sa bahay. Bottom line is, use whatever you have.😀
👍 Best close-up of fry eating infusoria I've ever seen! Amazing!
Thank you😁.

@@bettaquaticsph1925 can you keep feeding them infusoria until they grow big enough to eat crushed pellets or po1?
Doss mosquito larvae eats fry?

@@adrianjoelmaglasang8748 yes they do. your fry will all be gone if you let mosquito larvae thrive in your fry tank
Excellent. Thank you for the in-depth description
Your welcome. Thank you also for your support!

Very informative indeed.
Thank you for your support.
Thanks for this wonderful research. Please can I add water from earthen fish pond if i don't have an aquarium?

Super 👍
I don’t have an aquarium so where do I get infusoria to start the culture?
cool that infusoria looks like paramecium that is as big as it goes of live creatures in infusoria "group"
This is okay for the alternative of baby bine shrimp but how many days if have a inforsoria
I have a question you can directly feed them with water on that infusoria culture? May be its contain with any bacteria that can cause fry a decease

I'm gonna try it
thank you for watching! have you tried it already?
Nice bro! 🤎
Thanks 🔥
My respect to u

.did u use microscope to see infusoria
I have no microscope, your cellphone camera would do if you zoom it in to see the swimming microorganisms like what you saw in the video.
Do you think this water can make your Fry sick? that old bacteria water looks very dirty. Thank you for sharing this video :)

Sir, can I use banana leaves instead of banana peel?
yes yes yes
Di ko pa natry bro. Pero most likely pwde dahil organic material naman yan na nabubulok. Just blanch the leaf with hot water.
Ok

Still wanna know how to culture infusoria?
