Not to the point of putting my glass back in yet but when i get there i will be watching this several more times!! Thanks for making this, very helpful.
I worked 4 hrs yesterday and quit with frustration. After watching this video I worked 1/2 hr this morning and my 67 GTO now has the rear quarter window in. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
VERY good instructional video! Bravo! It's nice to see someone who knows what the hell their doing making instructionals cuz there's too many idiots putting bad info in vids like this. And talking way too much about crap that doesn't pertain to what their showing you just cuz they like to hear themselves talk. Great job man
Alot easier on a 66, but with a 65, the lower glass trim that the glass sits in is wide and hits the body panel where the window goes into. I had to turn the two upper screws in so that the window would actually drop in with alittle help from a helper. After that, it was as the video discribed. Thanks for your help!
I thought it was just me. If you don't know what you're doing, that glass is a pain. Thanks for the video. I'm putting power in and have 40-inch tubs. I'm having to reconfigure my slides.
Power windows are a very nice option. It is not as difficult as it looks to remove clean and replace. When you go to install the window motor you will have to have the regulator in a slightly over 90 degree position to clear the wheel house because of the window motor. Basically every thing else will be the same. Thank You
Hey whats that brown putty crap they use on those bolts for the quarter glass ? Took me like 10 min to get that crap off so I could get to the bolts to remove the regulator part
I have a 67 skylark with power windows. Is this still basically the same process? It looks intimidating in the car but everything is dirty and some rusty inside there and I know cleaning it up will make it function smoother.
Hey Mark have any idea how to do a 66-67 gto with the door reveal moldings they have a screw behind the vent window rubbers how the hell do you get that screw in after the window is in if you put the reveal molding in the vent glass wont go in going nuts trying to figure this out.
The lower channel has screws at each end at the base of the glass. Just remove these first. Then the glass will come up and you can remove the channel after.
This video is just great! I removed all the stuff from my 67 Chevelle right side quarter glass and I was wondering how to put it back. Just one question: the fuzzy weatherstrips are to be instaled before or after installing the glass? Thanks!
+Luiz Chevelle It is better if you do it before. However after can also been done. Just a little more effort to install the screws to secure the fuzzies. Thank You for your comment.
God damn, you make it look easy! Even after watching this FANTASTIC video I still had a bit of a struggle. Got her done though, thanks to you guys at SCARED SHIFTLESS! THANK YOU!
Is a matter of fact the coupe's have completely different quarter windows compared to the sedan's or post cars. They aren't even close to being the same. If you have a post car good luck on finding the replacement rubber for the sash. I found the right sash seal material which is completely different than the sash seal for the coupe's. You also won't be able to find original style upper felt inserts for the quarter windows on the sedan's, they are of course completely different than what the coupe uses.

The people who designed those window regulators and tracks were BRILLIANT engineers. I could NEVER think of something like that.
Great video, it’s been like a year and a half since I took my 67 project apart. Good refresher, thanks!

This was great! Got a 65 Skylark that needs quarter glass work. Thanks for the video.
Glass regulators can be a pain in the butt, this helps immensely, thank you for that instructional video.
This is the most helpful video on UA-cam. Thank you so much.

After struggling with my 65 Cutlass for hours this saved my sanity! Thanks!!!

When you want to take the glass out , How do you get the rollers out of the channels?
The lower channel has screws at each end at the base of the glass. Just remove these first. Then the glass will come up and you can remove the channel after.
Thank you for the video. Who does your auto glass?
We install most of the glass ourselves. Thank You
Do you happen to have a video on how to remove and install the side windows? For the 67 Malibu
I would think they're identical

this video has made my month
A little more light on the subject would've been nice, but other than that - great video - thanks!
Great video, wonderful teacher. Thank You I'm now a subscriber
Thanks Mark. I will put the regulator in first. - Ed
Do you have a Video as to How to Remove this Glass?
i tried this on my 65 impala but could not get the regulator in any suggestions
Edward Habuda The window regulator needs to go in first on that type a system. Leave it loose. Then assemble all other parts.
you sure make it look easy.
Saved me. Thanks!!!!!
