    That was a really good video. You did a nice job of placing the camera, and you explained it well! Good for you!

    On stock control arms I don't believe the area where the shock originally bolted in is strong enough to hold up all the weight. At least not for long term use when the weight was originally meant to be spread out around the whole spring pocket area of the arm.. I believe Lower control should always be strengthened or an after market control arm should be used.

    Doug..great video...a few questions for my 1969 El Camino , with a 350 engine, automatic 200r4. Standard front end, would like to drop down 1" .
    1) What coil over part number, for a daily driver should I use...for a 1" drop ??
    2)Do you need to do another front end alignment, after final adjustments??
    Thanks for the education...very helpful

      MrSprintcat ,it's not the arm that needs to be level,it's the center of the bushing pivot point and the frame,in line with the center line of the ball joint ball center line.

    Finally we talk about indexing the spring which by the way can't be done correctly if you cut the stock spring using stock lowers. You didn't say a thing about it in the spring cutting video, but you SHOULD HAVE. That spindle looks awfully short compared to the ones I got from you guys in the early 90's.

    Awesome video are coil overs good for daily street driving?

    • @cuzz63
      @cuzz63 5 років тому

      Yes they are. All your basically doing is moving the bottom of the spring off the lower control arm and moving it to the shock. This allows you to adjust the height and travel. And it looks cool

    My shocks were a lot harder to install into the lower control arm. I had to really push them in towards the frame. I hope I didn't bend them

    this is a very nice product. But in my experience when you change the car height, it puts the car out of alignment.
