Hey there... Thanks for posting this. I have also bought an AMG steering for my 2016 x156 GLA and was wondering if there is any way to use some wiring / software magic to make the cruise control work. I know the guys at merc will never entertain this but any after market mod u have come across?
Upgraded steering wheels are always one of the best aesthetic driver mods because you use it all the time and get to stare at it. Can't wait for the downpipe install on the Audi tho! Excited to see how different it'll sound

I’m going to wait to show it off in the next video. I don’t wanna rev the car hard until I tune it. But just normal driving…it’s louder and their are slight burbles. And I know my stage 2 tune is gonna make it even better.

204 just doesn’t have the best aftermarket support. Everything was so piece-meal and high-risk. Audi is a solid platform that you can get 1 brand/company that makes everything from intake to turbos for them. Just a lot more reliable and trustworthy.
My MB has heated steering & active lane keeping. Will the new wheel have these features too?

So I have the 2016 Mercedes Benz C300 W205 It has a 2 tone interior where everything's blacked out in wood trim on the bottom but the upper is some light tan color is there any websites that you know of That have aftermarket or oh yeah replacements to black it out the rough lining the sunvisors a sunvisor's a pillars See pillar area of the air bag coverings the sun roof frown screening

Good evening Flexx, I was watching your video and I couldn’t help but notice an AMG section in your cluster settings when showing the up and down touch on the steering wheel. How did you manage to get that on there? Was it because of the steering wheel installation or just factory? Thank you for the great content, all the best
I did a custom coding on my car using an OBD2 module. It allowed me to install AMG features and disable my annoying seat belt warning and shut off the Auto start stop. I had to remove the video because the reseller stopped selling the module.
It was cool. Now I can record track time, know my g-force, know my engine oil and coolant temperature and more.

Does this come in different colors? I have a 2017 c43 that I'd like to do this to, but my interior is cream. I think the black wheel with red stitching wouldn't look good. Always awesome videos man!

When are you going to stage tune video?
Everyone should use a new steering whee bolt after putting new one on. Those bolts are one time use , i work as a parts advisor at benz.
Yeah, that’s what Mercedes recommends but I’ve never had an issue as long as the steering bolt is showing no signs of wear, I use loctite, and it’s torqued properly. And I’ve changed my steering wheels many times and in many cars. I should get a new bolt going forward especially when they are pretty cheap to buy.

How does the cruise control work if it has own switch for it on the side
It works the same way it’s always been working. That’s how the car came from the factory. Go look at your car’s manual for details on how it works.
The cruise control buttons on the new steering wheel just doesn’t do anything and i must use the OEM cruise control lever. That’s all.

Mine was plug and play. Only need a module if you want parts on the new steering wheel to work when you didn’t have those features on your oem steering wheel.

Yes. As clearly shown in the video, the airbag is included and works fine.
I like the design of the double spoke but hate the haptic touch controls (as with every automotive reviewer). I have the facelift version and the toggles of the lower buttions and the roller knob for the volume are second to none, It does have a small tough mouse on each size and that is the weakest link
I hated it at first but I got use to it. I mainly only use the volume control anyway 🤷🏻♂️

Wondering if the airbags on these wheels are reliable
They’re legit. That’s one thing I did a good amount of research on before installing them. Especially when my wife drives this car a lot.
These airbags meet all the regulations and the quality is exactly like my own airbag when I compared them inch by inch. Gave me peace of mind that I also installed an aftermarket airbag on my A4 and now also on my Audi R8 as well.
@@TheFlexxGarage that sounds great, i really wanted to upgrade the wheel on my 2010 sls. compared to the car the wheel on this thing looks pretty outdated now. hesitating because i really dont wana end up with a malfunctioning airbag on a bad day
Oh I get it. But you have to remember that any airbag is a gamble. Look at Mercedes oem airbags. A lot were recalled cause they were part of takata airbag issue across multiple car brands and like hundreds of thousands of vehicles.

The version I have doesn’t have that feature. Plus my stock steering wheel didn’t have that feature either.

No. Cause this steering wheel looks like the new style but it’s designed for the w205 c-class.
You only need a conversion/reprogram if you are installing an authentic OEM new steering wheel on an older c-class.

Anybody have any idea I matched the arrows and center console but it’s a bit crooked
Then move the steering wheel so it’s centered instead of being on the arrow (cause you don’t need it to be right on the arrow. The arrow is just a guide). There’s a lot of factors that sometimes make the arrow now exactly centered.
or you need an alignment done in your wheels and the shop will straighten your wheel when they adjust the wheels.

Yeah. Cause it was the same thing with me. I place my steering wheel on the arrow and it was slightly off center to the left but noticed even if I move my steering over 1 notch, the was crooked the other way. There was no notch exactly in the center. I got an alignment and told the shop to straighten my steering wheel a tad and it worked.

It’s not the same as the stock oem airbag removal. Requires skill and patience.

my car is an AMG package from factory so it's fine. But if its not your cup of tea, as mentioned in the video, you can customize it however you want with DMP. There's tons of options. It's pretty cool what they can do.

No plans but now I’m told DMP is working on a plug and play kit. So I might be doing. Just waiting…

Depends on the car but it's usually about 30-35 ft lbs of torque. You need to do your own research for your car's specs.

LEDs? You mean the ambient kit? If so, yes, still works since the buttons used to control the lights are still on the new steering wheel.
