I love your videos bro! I have an 18 c300 Coupe and I’ve been following the mods from the start. I love the concept, create more power but keep the reliability. My dads got a w205 c300 in central fl with daily 90+f days needs this intercooler. He loves the turbo but believes a lot more can come from the engine.
This looks easy enough that I could do it… Although I wouldn’t, cus I’m that type of dude that works on his car and always have left over nuts, bolts and screws when I’m done… Lol
Maybe stay more focused on the next job, that happens to me when I let myself get distracted

Always a great video! But everything is is easy for the Mercedes guy especially when you have the right tools. Car was just in the shop. Just to diagnose $155 per hour. It would be nice to have skills like you do. Still scared if I do something’s I might break it..lol.. good video

I got a question for Mike. My dad has a W205 c class 220 cdi bleutec automatic. Since a few weeks while driving on the highway the car loses power and the gear does not changes back to a lower gear. We have been several times to the Mercedes garage but they can not find the problem and my dad does not want to lose the car cause he is very attached to it. You think you can help us out? Thanks in advanced and also thanks to Flexx that I came to know Mike :)

Was waiting so long for this video! Thanks Flexx for making it. Question: Did you notice any lag (turbo, throttle response, etc) whatsoever after the installation?
Everything improved. No joke, first day I got it installed…I drove an hour home on the highway and it was like 95 degrees out. As soon as I got near home…I decided to test out the car and it pulled hard and quick. You would think it would be laggy from the heat but nope. It was great! Even when the engine was hot. And for the past 2 weeks, it’s been pretty fun doing pulls with the car in Sport+ mode. My wife hates me. Hahahaha

Flexx great video! One of those mods that many forgot but it really makes a great bang for the buck. I am curious, when you removed your stock IC out, did it have sludge/debris/oil? This would reflect the blowback of the vehicle as for some vehicles it's notorious.

Actually didn’t at all. Was clean as a whistle. This car only has about 40k miles and not driven hard at all.
In my old 2012 Benz c250, that was just an air cool intercooler, there was oil pooled up on the turbo muffler and the turbo charge pipe leading into the inlet of the intercooler. I think i was at about 75k miles when I did the swap. A catch can would of helped. 🤷🏻♂️
It would have been great to see some data from a torque app or equivalent of intake temps before and after. Cruising (to see how close they are to ambient) a pull to see how much faster they recover etc. I know you're a busy man, but just some ideas.

Hi Flexx, great vids, just a quick question about the front trim pieces you added to the air vents at the front a while ago, I see they are still on, are they still stuck on with the same 3M tape as I am wanting to add some to mine but not sure if it's safe to do so with 3M tape alone. Same tape. As I mention in my video, if the surface is prepped right, they will stick well.

Honestly, I've been waiting for a tune video. I hope you remove the V-Max and make some acceleration and top speed tests before and after. I like your idea to get more power, without being too aggressive to maintain reliability, because I want to do the same to my 2017 C300. It just went out of factory warranty, and I've been looking forward to give it a nice tune like yours. I also have the same rims like yours, have you considered spacers? Would it be a good idea?
To remove v max is easy find a launch obd2 full version scanner and go to engine ecu and just remove it take hardly 2 minutes no needed do any ECU flash
Just curious why Mike re-used the O-rings. Seems like replacement while it was apart might be a reasonable idea. Nice vid!
Already answered it in another comment. No need to replace them based on the condition. I know most people think “I should just change it to a new one while everything is apart” but sometimes a new one isn’t always guaranteed to work and could be defective. If a gasket is fine from a low mileage car and literally shows no signs of damage…I would personally leave it alone for this specific install. On a larger and more complicated install, yeah…should get new gasket, seals, bearings, etc.
U set off any check engine lights with inter cooler upgrade … any special reflashes etc…

I don’t really know. It’s too new. Great looking car but I don’t know how much aftermarket support it will get.

No. Sounds like you have a fuel issue. Either your fuel pump is weak and not giving your engine enough fuel to burn when you want to push hard on the gas pedal. Or your injectors aren’t spraying properly or your car desperately needs a tune up with new spark plugs too.
If everything is fine, and you’ve just always had a slow accelerating car…then get a pedal tune. It’s makes all the difference in responsiveness.

That was mad work to get to the intercooler. Now i know why Mechanic's charge so much for German cars
That’s because this one was a liquid cooled intercooler. If you watch my intercooler install on my previous C250, it was a cakewalk because it’s aircooled and in the front of the car.
my c434 is still under warranty, will this void it? Also i'm in Mass. I gotta go check out Mike!!!
that's up to your warranty provider to decide but if a part doesn't causes the issue related to a warranty claim, then the warranty shouldn't be voided...but again, it's up to your warranty provider to decide.
I'm pretty sure your warranty becomes void the moment you change something to after market could be different in the UK tho

Not sure. Depends on the engine. Your best bet is to contact tornado tuning. They make these parts and they’ll know since they are a global brand and know all the models their stuff works for.

FLEXX what’s your opinion on the catless downpipe for this car? It added significant amount of torque for my car.
It’s illegal. That’s all I have to say on it. You are better off getting a catted downpipe with less cells.

I lost ALL the low end torque there’s no back compression, you need at least a layer tune for it to be worth it,
Downpipes are great. I have a buddy with a 2016 c300 with just catless downpipe the car is already quick stock for a 4cyl off the line and with the armytrix downpipe and the amazing AMR tune it movesss now. So yes well worth it. Im going the same route, yes its not an amg but its still a 2.0 turbo that you can mod so yeah.. Its also to make it more fun to daily drive.

Don’t know but we will know right before I get it tuned. It will be going on a dyno. I still need to get my exhaust done before the tune. And then…you guys might see a race between my tuned Benz and tuned Audi A4.

Yeah…all fun with an unreliable engine and potential to have to dump more money for repairs. Better off buying a c43 if you wanna upgrade the c300 turbo.

Kind of still small. Do they make a bigger one?
I clearly showed 2 options in the video and I installed the smaller of the 2. You can’t go too big cause it won’t fit. This is not the same as a front mounted Intercooler where you have tons of space.

@@jonasser1227 yes, if you are concerned do after warranty , but remember things can and do go wrong, seen a 2018 SQ5 w a tune blow its motor, 27KM on it, dealer voided warranty due to tune, 45k canadian for a new motor, guy is having current one fixed for 18K at an Indy shop. They even recommend , tune after warranty. If you decide to tune while warrantied , have extra funds in case it goes south and is your daily driver

Question.. Does the intercooler not come with new gaskets? I dont understand why he wouldnt have put a new gasket in the coupler instead of the old one since you have it apart and its such a cheap thing to buy. Thats like getting a new transmission and not replacing the clutch.
The car has less than 40k miles. The gasket was 100% fine. These gaskets are design to last the life the vehicle. Comparing this gasket to a clutch or throw out bearing is really far fetched.
I need help, just bought a 2010 c250 cgi,blue efficiency,. I have been driving it for two days,. After that i started hearing whistling sound, from turbo part took it to machenics the diagnosis report show error p029921 the boost pressure of turbo charger 1 is too low, the signal amplitude is less than minimum amplitude,. The machenics said we should replace the turbo,. But i dnt want to incure large cost i jus need to be sure first, before replacing it,. Anyone who hard the same problem,. Please help out,.
Before you buy this secound hand benz. You should brought a scanner and scan the w204 1.8t cgi have many problems from the factory which they will never admit is very unfortunate but cannot help
