Build a table that goes under the table suported by bolts that keep it away from the fire made of treared lumber. Cut lid in middle of top and 3 to 4 inches below food grill on front so when open you can adjust fire from front side to side as u want. You can add to fire from front of pit how hot or ? where ever even a log to realy creat smoke. Put chimmeny on tank behind lid to suport it. The real great part is everty thing is BOLTED together. No welds means no future rust. Under grill is first a piece of tank turned upside down space bolted to floor so no heat ever rusted out bottom of tank. Then a heavy gague metal with holes to let to let bottom of fuel to burn completely. Never rusts always has spacers bolts between bottom wood table with full length shelf in front just below opening lid that is cut below cooking grill inside. Been doing for 30 years. NO rust. Coat with old cooking oil and treat like cast iron skillet to last forever. Ur welcome!
Allen's welding/woodworking I noticed you just tack all the seals around the doors and firebox. Do they hold for a while or do they break loose? And do they leak a lot of smoke?
