You"re the proof of my Grans wisdom, she said "You don't need money to be happy, Though it does make the misery more comfortable"... thank you both for sharing
What fun . What we used to do back in the old days. Just doesn't happen anymore because people change and move away and some die too. I miss them days.
This is a happy video. All the elements were there. 1) easy to make grill 2) a run into the fence blooper, and without a care 3) a lady with accent going on about lots and lots of sausages 3) a drum solo by hand on the grille. Good times, good times👍🏻
Just made this as a first "metal" project to cook breakfast for 30+ camping guests and was very pleased with the choice of tutors. Very clear video, everything worked just as described - just be careful with the cuts round the seams of the drum as you really don't have to go very deep to cut through the single layer of steel. I found that ventilation holes were needed to keep the coals burning when the lid was shut and a 3rd hinge was added in the centre but am extremely pleased with the design, instruction and end result. Thank you!
I didn't understand why this wholesome video has so many dislikes, so I started reading the comments. At first it seemed that the comments are mostly positive, so I kept on reading. After reading hundreds of comments I started some kind of picture of what is in peoples mind. Here is the breakdown: - There are some stupid people in the interwebs.
Everytime i watch your videos i remember how much i miss living in the country. My garden in suburbs will never match wide rolling hills and everything that goes with it. Thank you for showing what a lovely life you both have, and i love the bbq!
Best video on the internet. Thanks for sharing your joy and happiness and wonderful common sense fabrication skills. Your cooking looks superb too. Wonderful
I have watched a couple of Vids, how to make OB barbecue and this one is by faaar the easiest and practical to make, thank you so much for your time and effort to make it.Best wishes to you,to your family and friends from Croatia.Cheers 😊
For the next project on WayOutWest Blowinblog we will make a smoker with a oil drum. But seriously I love projects like these. The whole recycling way of life intrigues me to no end.
Tim and Sandra, your videos make my day....gosh, such wonderful people, sending tons of love, positivity and good good wishes your way :) Love from the south coast of England xxx
Now I know where Gandalf is... Needs to up his rounders and volleyball skills!!!! Brilliant simple BBQ and great times with cheap French lager... Love it 💪
Brilliant. Just what I was looking for AND I had a great time watching, such a relaxing fun time everyone seem to have. Best bit was the crashing in the fence superb stuff. Thank you
Complimenti!! Dei veri maestri.. ho apprezzato moltissimo lo stile di vita che evince dal video.. Grazie. Compliments!! True masters .. I really appreciated the lifestyle that emerges from the video .. Thanks.
I'm building a oil drum bbq right now. I'm following your design for the drum but I reclaimed an old gas grill and cut away the upper portion with a curve to cradle the drum. I'm adding an air intake damper to control the temp and a chimney with a damper. I'm reusing the grates from the gas grill as well.
Great job as always! One tip for future builds; For the legs simply take the bottom part of a tressel and when out upside down the barrel fits in the legs like a glove. It looks really well and needs no welding or screwing.
You guys seem so happy. This was very refreshing to watch. Great job on the grill.

Great tutorial. But the family having fun and enjoying the simple things in life is just awesome!
This guy is a fucking legend! His family will tell tales about him for generations.

I loved the video. my father worked for GM for 47 years made his barrel smoker much the same way. Using the same blue barrel.
That pastoral community you manage to gather around whenever needed is the most amazing part of this. Even more amazing than the lovely accent!
It’s like I’m watching an episode of Thomas the Tank Engine but it’s about a bbq. 👍
The narrator has the most perfect narrating skills!
its true it was his voice that sounded like the very old mr men cartoons
I know you all work hard on your farms, so it is so good to see that you take time to play. May your blessings be many!
You people and your community and friends and lifestyle just look so HAPPY! It is oddly contagious.
It am contaminated!
Wow! one of the most simplified DIY for BBQ grill. cant wait to make my own using this video! Thanks!
That has to be the by far the easiest and so simple way to make a barbecue from an oil drum. Very well done Sir and Madam.
Thank you kindly
What i love most of all is the GM emblem on the barrel. Nice representation. And nice job!

Very pleased it worked out for you, Hugh.

Well done. A good day out with a barbeque is universal. Glad you all had such a good time.
This is a brilliant video! I really like how it was cleverly using the rims of the barrel to support the cover. I did mind and it turned out well

Wow you guys really live with what you have!
That is resourcefulness to the maximum. Good job
Great build! It doesn't need any ventilation holes.
Wonderful... Just made ours. Didn't have any angle iron and we're on lockdown, but we improvised. Thank you.

You must be thinking of a specific type of tressel? One that we don't have around here anyway
