Not sure if the system is the same, but I sometimes have a similar issue on my hybrid RAV4, mainly if the A/C is turned off and driving with cool/cold outside air temps. As soon as you turn the A/C on the fogging goes away. I would have thought if you leave the A/C always powered on in the BYD it should never fog up?
Hi, I recently bought atto 3. Once I lock the car, the fan continues doing this till god knows how long? Is there any setting to turn off the fan's working post locking @kiwidreams
Nope, that is normal. Two things happening, the battery temperature is being managed and your Aircon blower (fan only) is activated to remove moisture from the Aircon ducts. Unlock the car when this starts, it will stop. Then DO NOT open any doors and the car will auto lock in 30 seconds.
I have noticed the fogging in my BYD is much more noticeable than my previous car. I leave my car on Auto but have had the windscreen suddenly fog up 15 minutes into a trip leaving me with terrible visibility. I turn on the demister but it takes a while to clear the drivers side.
If only BYD HVAC system engineer could make a button which would regulate the fan speed, vents and ducting in the car so that fogging on the windows and windshield didn't happen... oh wait, what's the "AUTO" button next to the AC Power Button do? For some reason my AUTO light is always on, and I've never ever experienced the windshield fogging issue. Even on mornings where the temps are 2C. Strange.
Why don't you just press the front window demister button on the righthand side of the gear lever below the fan on-off button to demist the foggy front windscreen?
Very nicely explained, i had encountered this problem recently, didn't know how i managed, tried every where while driving.
Glad it helped.
Very helpful, we have a very recent build and still experience fogging in very moist conditions
Thanks for your always educational videos, short simple and clear. Cheers C
Thank you for your kind words and also subscribing!
Good job. Many thanks. The furnishings definitely synthetic, so they don't absorb much of the humidity, and instead rises out after we exit the car.
Can you show how you add additional Apps, I see you have ABRP installed. Lovin my Att03 in Taupo :-)
My next video explains in detail.... subscribe to stay informed.

quick question, mate.
is your byd atto 3 rear view mirror too dark?
how do i turn off auto dimming of the rear view mirror?
I’m not sure there is any setting for that. It is automatic based on glare from vehicles behind you.
@@KiwiDr3ams - Yeah, all good. thanks anyway.

Just learned from a FB forum, an OTA update will be released in the next 2-3 weeks to resolve this issue.

Thank you for your insightful comments. This issue is soon to be resolved via v1.6 update in the coming weeks.
careful with ammonia in a closed space

That will get rid of the fog, not prevent it in the first place.
@Kiwi Dreams nothing will, you will always have the same problem every time cold weather arrives.
