I just installed v1.5 which gives wireless Android Auto but don't know how to use it. Could you do a video please as your explanations are great. Thx from Taupo 😊

features of Android Auto that don't suit me is that: it works thru the internet. All of my trips out of town means the internet drops out, the result is that the connection between the vehicle and my phone is lost. When this happens access to my music programme is lost also. The other issue for me is that Google maps is automatically used thru my phone's data. While I have unlimited data on my phone is does get throttled once 4 Ggs is used up. I haven't been able to find how to change this default. After many struggles I can now access the phone without AA which is great.

Can't get netflix to work? Installs fine but won't run - error 500:something?

Error 500 relates to your internet connection. Try loading the installed app once connected to Wifi or start a hotspot from your phone.

Lane keep assist and emergency lane keep are rubbish for the most part. I think the vehicle is calibrated for those that drive on the right side of the road. I find it will happily wander over the centre line but will panic if I get too close to the left line. I have the same setting as you, but have it on noise only and thats annnoying enough already. The odd behaviour doesn't happen every time, but often enough to make me think that "if I was driving on the other side of the road, this behaviour would make more sense"... PS you can only disable emergency lane keep for the current drive, once you turn off and on, it is turned on again (cannot disable permanently).

And you have driven the left hand drive version to come to this conclusion?

@@KiwiDr3ams no but several vehicles in other countries over the last year or so. I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm just questioning the calibration. It's also feels different from a 2022 Hyundai or Mazda in the way it regards the centre line. It's just a thought. My opinion. I'd be keen to speak with a byd tech to understand how the camera interpreted the lane markings if you know one.

Absolutely agree re the centre lane and the left side!

I agree. I had set the vibration alert. I have never received this but I have the steering wheel 'yank' which is horrible. South Island mountainous roads are not suited to this system. I turn it all off every time I get in the car.

@@kaywilliams5673 Yes, Dandenong Ranges in Vic, Australia, hilly roads require turning off Emergency Lane Keeping Assist every time you start the car, must have only been tested on straight roads.
