Go on, tell me what's worse. I know you will.
French is worse but to be fair, you don’t play the low French vehicles expecting to be the best player. You play it because they look absolutely ridiculous. French might be bad, but it is a fun bad. You play not to win, but to have fun and dink around in your tank. And if it does get a kill, it is extra gratifying.
i love the french line, the only reason i dont main em is cus germany Me 262
10:45 to answer your question... its 20 rounds, since the gun is based on the ZB-26.
In my opinion, the French is worse. Japanese tanks are hard but not bad. Besides, this is what happens when the Army and Navy literally fights for resources and the Navy wins
@@LastGoatKnight very true French have it worse
@@thesnazzycomet I have experience with both. I main Japan, went to 9.3 with a controller on console without any Premium boost. Meanwhile I stopped around 3.3 with France, when I got the M4A1 Sherman in the tech tree because I couldn't take it anymore. I know that I don't need to clarify my statement but I prevent the haters from attacking by this
@@LastGoatKnight 3.7 france is not bad. i love 2.3 and 2.7 too. 1.7 is a good br too. all in all id say the start for france is worse for france but it gets better at 2.3. if you reach 5.3/5.7 and then 7.7 there france shines really
This only goes for the starting tanks, and maybe into 2.3. But I love 2.7, and as you get higher up and better with solid shot, it gets way easier. 3.3, 3.7, 5.7, 6.7, and even 7.7 are amazingly fun tiers for French tanks and all of those lineups also have wonderful planes that fit into them.
TLDR: French gets better the higher you go, and if it doesn’t, that’s a skill issue
Imo I been playing france it's crap at the first few ranks but once you get to 7.7 it's fun gets painful at 8.7 cause no stab I'm not at the 9.0 Era yet on my first 8.7 grind rn stock grinding the Amx13 hot
7:11 gave me a flash back so hard my head wipped
I really like the Short Gun and Long Gun Chi Has. They're like siblings, the rail gun one and the derp gun one
As someone who started grinding Japan three days ago, I can say besides the M16 & M24, I want nothing to do with their ground forces below 4.7. Currently at 4.7 I have fun with them but before then not so much, it helps that I endured low tier UK so getting through painful stuff is something I can deal with
Chi-ha long gun is one of the best tanks in the game. Only issue is low ammo.
Agreed, i just unlocked Chi-to so i don’t know what’s going to happen, but the improved pen will change everything. Chi-nu is shit
Fortunately Chi-To is actually good
@@thesnazzycomet i got an 11 kill game with it and now have M19A1 so that’s cool
As a Japan main since the days before tanks were in the game, I LOVE low tier Japan. The 47mm gun is a beast with how fast it reloads and solid pen. The Japanese 75mm cannons though are SO good so I understand not liking stuff prior to getting them
Ka-Mi crazy, but I love that little tank.
the german 37 actually had less pen (47mm flat at point blank) than these last time i checked
you really have to try the chi-ha short gun premium. 120mm he launcher in a pretty small chassis. not too slow either plus you get a actual turret as he launcher
ill have to try it on stream tomorrow
Smash or pass the ha-go for me it’s a solid pass
Would also have liked to see the I-Go in the lineup, but these guys are fun as well (sorta). The Ha-Go is really rough, but the others get the Type 1 APHE shell, so that helps.
I started as a Japanese main, and I'm grateful for that. If there's one thing playing Japanese tanks taught me well, is the importance of not getting hit, and how to avoid getting hit in the first place.
When you translate those skills to tanks that actually can take hits, you'll be quite tricky for your opponents to defeat.
Like the Ha Go and thé other premium low lvl tanks Good games underdog status
hello my fav warthunder youtuber
Aw thanks!!
I wound up playing Japanese after the Brits and really feel like those are the two trees to play if want to test how good you are. The Americans, Germans, and Russians almost always had enough explosive filler save you if you didn’t take a second to point the gun at the crew or critical components.
british reserve is good
@@thesnazzycomet I certainly was not trying to say they are bad, they just require you to pay more attention when playing because less boom. It was playing the 17 pounder that made me learn ammo rack locations. Don’t need to worry about no explosive filler if I just use the targets ammo for it.
For me personally, ww2 era japanese tanks are so underrated, sure they are far from the best and they have considerable flaws including little armor and crappy machine guns but i usually have alot of fun playing with them. I dont know why i just... Do. Some of the later ones have decent guns and just feel simple to play and i consider myself one of their few fans
It's not that much that these are absolutely awful, they just don't have any real strong points. Other reserves/1.0 vehicles have equally poor armour, worse mobility sometimes, and some have even weaker cannons, but all of those tend to have something to make up for it. US, British and Russian ones have better guns, French have armour, German Pz.IIIB is similarly mediocre, although the IIIE can at least bounce a few weaker guns when angled. Italy has autocannons on its 1.0 vehicles. Not beginner-friendly because you have to actually know where to shoot some of the tanks you meet, or which ones you can only really disable, like some French tanks.
They arent bad gun wise but yes armor wise
They suck bad. But damn are they fun to play banzai style!
The unangled armor on the ka-mi makes it look kind of like a mini tiger
Janks are just like my kid. They’re ugly, stupid and fail at everything, but I still love them.
(Ok i don’t actually have a kid)
LMAO
Well at least they're historically accurate. Japan had the best Navy and air force during WW2 but their Army was left with scraps that was critically outdated.
The Ta-se is so awsome even at 2.7 si you have the chi-ha lg and the ta-se at 2.7 and pretty good planes
@@felixbeth6340 which one is the Ta-Se? The big boat thing?
@@thesnazzycomet the ta se is the 20mm armed anti air at 1.7 on the ke ni hull the cannon has a lot of pen for the br and it's quick and small i had a lot of really great games in that thing i once had i think 13 kills on japan where i rushed down the center and waited for the enemies to pass
Love ur videos
@@Blu_2006 thanks!
Low tier Japan is pain, I'll be honest. And I survived France, before they got buffed.
The 37mm is serviceable for 1.0, but the problem is just above it.
The short 57mm is useless, 47mm is tethering on being woefully inadequate.
And most of the tanks on early ranks can be machine-gunned to death with a .50 cal or even .30 cal sometimes. And your own machine guns are pretty terrible with abysmal magazine capacity.
Frenchie weirdo tankettes at least have this strange charm to them. There is something hilarious in firing a 37mm WW I gun with penetration capability of a semi-competent machine gun. And you AT LEAST have the luxury of being impervious to machine gun fire yourself.
The xm800 can do like 2kph in water
wait...when did gaijoob finally make the ka-mi amphibious? it never used to be despite i was supposed to.
Smol Tonkus
Japanese tanks aren't great but they're actually quite enjoyable. Getting the Ho-Ro is a fun nuke launcher
@@FlyingPigeon-00001 agree
the thing about Japanese tank's is that, well, they weren't made to fight tank's. Japanese doctrine mattered toward's supporting infantry and being traditionalistic, also having a weight not exceding 25T Tones. their gun's sucked against armor, but against infantry? they were very good
i love tow tier japan they got be second fav behind British
Spoiler
just buy Chi-nu II
or the any sta tank
I have it
as someone that started japan because of my nationality i can say japan tanks are awful but atleast its not squash head
Chi nu 2:
Yes that’s good
I year or 2 agp i grinded them all the way to the type 99. Early game has. Few good tabks like the chia ha long gun. but most are trash. Their modern tanks arnt so bad. The type 75 SPH and type 99 are absolutly amazing.
This is the way. I liked 2.7 with the derp line up; but until you get to the Type 60 goblin tank, Type 75 & Type 99 the tree sucks.
