It's basically a Leopard 1A5 with anti-HEAT composite armour (that can also stop light autocannons, something the normal Leopard fails to do)a little less mobility and a little less total rounds. Considering that at 9.3 the stock grind has HEAT shells across the board (excluding British vehicles),it means you're very tanky

You know what’s funny? The Green Earth Faction from Advance Wars basically did this. Only casemate tanks, they look a bit cartoony but they are basically just all Jagdpanthers and Jagdpanzers.
As for the final drives: they were mostly fixed by the mid Ausf. A production run according to reports. Considering the Jagdpanther was built on late A's/early G chassis, it makes sense
6:28, the game does, in fact, count the ammo on top of certain guns as part of the ammo to ammo rack. The open-top bofors vehicles are the easiest place to see this in game, but im certain other guns also share these characteristics.

that spot on karelia near B, overlooking the way from A to C, is my favorite spot. most enemies (if not all) never look there, and you get amazing coverage all the way to the enemy spawn, no matter which side (peak map design)
this game is camping based ahh, if you are a not-so fast light tank you almost need somebody behind cover because of campers, if you don't camp it's hard to play well and if you camp it's not fun

If you know the maps, you know where the camping spots are and you know where you can safely drive without someone in those spots having a shot on you. If you drive in the open and get sniped because of it its your own fault.
seeing you doing those 800m kills reminded me of the land battles closed beta where realistic battles were literally on an open field and you battled with enemy tanks trying to kill them on a distance of 1500m and beyond. It was insane
Spookston you gotta play the AMX M4 since its an ultimate menace of 6.7 even more of a menace in downtier with its autoloading 90mm with PCO-50, you have to honor every french mains that carries their teams
This actually really brings me back to when I first started playing the game all those years ago. I got through all of the German tree up to rank IV by just using the premium JPanther. Have loved this vehicle for a long time, and War Thunder's interpretation of it was satisfying to play for many many hours.

2:38 what i heard it was that the jagdpanthers were "handpicked" from panther chasis that didnt have problems with the final drive, similar way they chose which rifle got to have a sniper scope back in the day. Also heard that the transmision problems were fixed postwar by the French so they could use the factories in their ocupation zone for themselves until they got local tank as replacement

They still produced lee’s for export and other theaters of war. The British had quite a bit of them and the US also used them in the pacific quite a bit because it’s short comings weren’t too noticeable against Japanese armor
Fun fact: Most crews throughout WW2 mostly German, American, British, and French had average reload times of 3-4 seconds for 75-105 cannons.. mostly because the assistant driver would help the loader or the loader would prep more rounds while the commander jammed the round in Also known as working as a crew so realistically a Sherman could sustain a firerate of about 5 rounds alevery 10 seconds, when the gunner was firing rapidly(worked best when in a defensive position) mist tiger crews could achieve about 3-4 rounds every 10 seconds in an Ambush position So technically the jagdpanther should be able to fire a round ever 3 or 4 seconds if you assume all the rounds are already prepped which most aphe rounds already were
I've never heard of such a thing. I'm not sure how the assistant driver could assist, they're nowhere near the gun, and the commander is busy commanding, keeping him unoccupied is the entire reason the loader is there. Reload speeds like that certainly could be achieved through 'lap loading' though, where the loader keeps extra rounds on this lap. This wasn't universally done though, as the loose rounds could be quite a hazard over rough terrain

Commanders could Command while assisting, most of them were very adept at multi-tasking.. this was mostly done during an Ambush but it was done It achieved fire rates of as fast as the gunner could aim.. for long enough.. the idea was the crew was doing more than just their assigned jobs when possible to increase their odds of survival by wiping the enemy out before they could return fire German crew did it the most since they were usually performing Ambushes with small numbers in the western theater of Europe

And it seems to fail the logical test as well. The commander can't command whilst he's helping load, because to do so he necessarily would be unable to observe the battlefield around. The only thing I can even imagine he might be able to do is lapload a few rounds for the loader. But reaching over the breech to the commander would be less convenient for the loader than just using the ammo racks already in the sponsons

I think the jagdpanther is the most beautiful WWII armored vehicle. I wish it would go back to 6.0, not because I really think it needs it, but because I don't really want to play the other 6.3 vehicles :(

On the subject of hating the Ush, I knew a guy who feared nothing in his IS-7 except the Ush (this was back before the Raketen was ever even announced) and he said he was glad I was on his team every time we played together when I was grinding Sweden
Hey Spookston, I have a good question for you and anyone who wants to respond: What if once you chose to get into a plane during a match you were not allowed to get back in a tank? People would stop suicide bombing as much, stop spawning in so many planes immediately, take more tanks in their loadouts, gameplay would be slower and take more skill and they could properly balance the points required to spawn in different vehicles, even add a 3rd spawn point to some maps that would be a further drive, but would be a flanking position to any spawn campers. There would also be less planes to deal with killing people on the longer drive, and AA would have a more important job than they have currently.
Day 109 You should play a tank with hydropneumatic suspension (recommend the MBT-70) But the catch is you have to drop the suspension as low as it can go for the whole match.

That thing is a must have for 6.7 lineups. Just in case you get uptiered cause the sheer amount of pen on that thing smokes IS-4M's frontal armor.

I think the jagdpanther is the most beautiful WWII armored vehicle. I wish it would go back to 6.0, not because I really think it needs it, but because I don't really want to play the other 6.3 vehicles :(

Hey Spookston, I have a good question for you and anyone who wants to respond:
What if once you chose to get into a plane during a match you were not allowed to get back in a tank?
People would stop suicide bombing as much, stop spawning in so many planes immediately, take more tanks in their loadouts, gameplay would be slower and take more skill and they could properly balance the points required to spawn in different vehicles, even add a 3rd spawn point to some maps that would be a further drive, but would be a flanking position to any spawn campers. There would also be less planes to deal with killing people on the longer drive, and AA would have a more important job than they have currently.

Day 109 You should play a tank with hydropneumatic suspension (recommend the MBT-70) But the catch is you have to drop the suspension as low as it can go for the whole match.
