@@SolvingPainWithStrengthHey Man Thanks for the tips, do you have any advice on My Knees which Slightly caves in and out? I always feel a small sharp pain when Ascending.
Took me years to realize flexing my abs and keeping them tight during my squat relieved my lower back tightness that I would get. Thank you for validating this.
When I was a teenager and I first started getting into weight lifting, ALL the time people would "correct" my squat form by telling me to pull my chest up as much as possible, and to flair out my ass.... Here I am at 22 years old finding out why the fuck my lower back has been in agony all this time.. Thank you man ❤
Dude same! I was told, “better to arch backwards than forwards. You can injure yourself if you let your back arch forwards.” 😅 I’m so excited to work out without back pain
Had been doing good no back pain in years and today it came back, glad i seen this, definitely worked. I can get a few more sets without gettimg hurt and work on that from here on out
Did squats for the first time yesterday after a year of training. I approached it as all the other exercises - chest out - now my back hurts. Thank you alot for sharing, will try it next leg day.
When I squat I fret to brace my abs and I didn’t realize how important it is because it really does take away strain from lower back. Very useful tip I weigh 148 and I be doing squats at like 275 lbs and it just destroyed my Back cause I don’t brace my abs
Fucking hell man I didn't know you had to do all that for a squat, no wonder my lower back hurts lol. I never understood about chest and hips really, I did know you need to breath in and push your core out but I was never making my ribs rest on it. I thought it was the issue of me moving my hips forward. It's all about resting on the core, and actually using it lol. Just now my lower back was hurting so much on the 185s, now I'm doing 225 and it's pain free. My legs can handle heavy weight but my lower back just simply can't, but ty. I've been training these stabilizing muscles but never really used them. Thanks dude
Whenever I sit for a good amount of time or for days, when I go do squats, my lower bad hurts. I found out that by stretching the lower body and the PSOAS muscle, it takes the pain away.
I’ve tried that , it doesn’t work with me. I still get long lasting pain. I’ve even experimented with a back brace . I’ve watched dozens of you tube videos regarding proper form. Somehow I must have a prior injury or condition??
I get it more so where you place the Barbell on your scapula area and upper mid section of the back the next day after nothing too painful but not comfortable feeling mostly happens when I'm doing a heavy leg session day and squatting very heavy weight I always squat ass to grass aswell I recorded myself on my cellphone to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong nothing I noticed I also asked a gym instructor working in my gym and said nothing is wrong with my form either wonder if I have a weakness somewhere never had any serious injuries and pain goes away after 1 or 2 days
I wish I saw this video earlier but unfortunately i squatted like this and now I saw it as I was searching for back pain relief Currently I have a pain in my lower back bending backwards.I found out my mistake but can you tell me how to fix this pain I cant arch my back for nos it pains and also bending backwards make me feel a pain in lower back
Does it apply to squat machine as well? Sadly, even using a machine i get low back pain 😢 I'm considering ditching the gym and just walking and cycling because nearly all exercises targeting core muscles hurt my lower back. Sometimes it hurts for weeks and nothing really helps, it always comes back
@@SolvingPainWithStrength thanks bro just tried it out. had to use the smith machine for the first time since I could barely squat a plate on each side. It worked and now I feel way more comfortable doing squats! Legs hurt tho lol
Okay so now knowing this great. but my low back pain has stuck with me for a few days. I was squatting light weight and did a few sets then moved to 210lbs, which still isn’t heavy for me. On my 4th rep up I felt pain in my low back and immediately quit. That was Friday morning and it’s now Tuesday. Pain has eased up a bit but I can still tell it’s aggravated. Any other help?
@@kartikr5922 gotten a lot better yes! still taking it pretty easy though. try lots of different stretching and be careful! maybe get an MRI if possible. Use a heating pad too. if your pain is unbearable i would def go get that MRI. Praying for full Healing in Jesus Name my friend

Exactly! Bracing abs takes impact off the spine for less pain.

Same bro I felt like I might skip a couple leg days
but for some reason i find it hard to brace my abs like i just can't feel it lol , need some video on that
Pretend like someone is going to punch you in the stomach. That’s the type of brace you want.

Try this routine for some relief: ua-cam.com/video/8R4E_m7_G_U/v-deo.html
So your abs should be engaged or flexed during the whole rep ideally? Both on the down movement and up?
Yep, abs should be braced throughout movement to provide spinal stability
Thank you so much 🙏
I try and do this shit but it never works my lower back keeps getting hurt no matter what i do
There are other causes for lower back pain while squatting you can try: ua-cam.com/video/qi8GNfvQ2JI/v-deo.html
Does it apply to squat machine as well? Sadly, even using a machine i get low back pain 😢 I'm considering ditching the gym and just walking and cycling because nearly all exercises targeting core muscles hurt my lower back. Sometimes it hurts for weeks and nothing really helps, it always comes back
Most likely has to do with form. If you can find someone to check your movements before going heavy that would help
i love squats but my hips are really locked into one position, it doesn't shift backwards so when is squat down my back curls up like a croissant
For the ab “brace” do you hold your breath or just tighten your an area??
Look up how to brace your core, you should still be able to breathe when bracing. Don’t hold your breath
@@moneylorde thanks - I have and your right u can still breathe
My abs are rock solid when im squatting but my pelvis still moves
so i have a question I'm a newbie to the gym and when i squat i dont feel pain i feel my lower back muscles working is that ok?
The squat is a full body movement that uses a lot of muscles. Hard to say without seeing your squat.
What if i wear a lifting belt? Would this also help fix this issue?
Lifting belts can help provide support but don't 'fix' the issue. I would focus on form and stability first.
What about knee pain? My technique is perfect from what my coach says but i still get pain in my knees and lower back
You could try this. ua-cam.com/users/shortsXm_a2A4hJ1A?feature=share
I am feeling pain in my legs is that common? I just started squats 3 days ago
Sounds like you’re building muscle 💪🏻. If it doesn’t improve I would have someone check it out.
omg I did yesterday squats and a trainer saw me and told me a did it all wrong and showed me the wrong way and now my back is killing me
what is the meaning of abdominal brace?
Flex or contract your abs (like someone was about to punch you in the stomach).
@@SolvingPainWithStrength that's actually the part I am not able to understand
do you mean to flex your abs or kind of vacuum your stomach in?
Flex 💪🏻
@@SolvingPainWithStrength thanks bro just tried it out. had to use the smith machine for the first time since I could barely squat a plate on each side. It worked and now I feel way more comfortable doing squats! Legs hurt tho lol

Instead of lower back pain I have middle back pain and it’s killing me, is there a difference?
You could be overextending your mid back. I discuss more here: ua-cam.com/video/qi8GNfvQ2JI/v-deo.html

I tried doing this and I my head hurts/I get lightheaded even if I’m breathing just flexing my core on squats
Could be bracing too hard. Should just be a light squeeze to develop tension. Don't need to bear down as hard as you can.
