➡️ RDL’s are primarily for glutes, not the hamstrings. The hamstrings are targeted more directly with a Stiff Leg Deadlift. I will be making a tutorial on the SLDL soon. There are some very key differences beteeen them.
The RDL is my absolute favorite movement for building the glutes. Make sure you use straps so that your grip doesn’t limit how much weight you’re able to hold. You don’t want weak link in the chain limiting the amount of weight you can expose your glutes to.
I hope this helps you.
Is it more suitable for the back or the rear leg??
Single leg RDL please
Davis I did those and my butt got bigger😭
Please help…what to do if you have a interior pelvic tilt with a big butt? I want it smaller…I’m a dude 😭
Guys please like so he sees it
@@malghamdi5054 what did u do
@@malghamdi5054 you need to do more glute exercises while doing ab and core strengthening exercises that don't involve your legs and hip flexors
Bro has hands down one of the best work outs
Hope my content continues to help ✊🏼
No pun intended

Yeah I’m not trying to be caught thrusting in the middle of the gym this is my go to
"Don't worry about the glutes, if the form is right - they'll be used." I say this to my girlfriend a lot.
Damn nigga
Super important! Don’t want sensation to dictate what you do necessarily. I mean, the weight isn’t moving itself! If the bar moves and the form is correct, the glutes are the primary mover!
@@DavisDiley I think he may have meant that in a... Bedroom manner lol
@@tubax926 Davis knows what he's doing. Message received, appropriate and accurate response given.

god bless the people who make these short workout tutorials y’all are the glue of society

man as someone who struggles with form i cant tell you just how much i appreciate these videos and your way of describing things
Yup. It brings that mind to muscle connection, helping you consciously put your body where you want it. It takes practice, but he gives the cleaest vision I've ever seen
What if instead of the glutes I feel it on my low back? I really focus on my form but no matter what I feel it on my low back
@@emanuelgalvani9893A good tip is to try an RDL in the mirror and push your hips back as you go down for an RDL. Your back should remain straight and static, so if you go too far down with your RDL you usually end up arching your back because your hips cant go any further. This means for some people depending on their hip range, length or their arms and legs, they can go further down the leg vs. Less far. Checking in a mirror to make sure your back remain straight, and making sure not to go further sown then necessary should prevent back pain. Lower back pain usually means you are going too far with your RDL without noticing.
idk I never seem to be able to get deadlift forms correct even with these videos.
thank you, im literally watching this at the gym cause I feel like an idiot 😭
You’re not an idiot dude. Everybody starts somewhere. Keep going, even if you do eat ass
Me tooooooooo bro, I was starting them from the ground 😂
same but we learning!!
Same hahahaha
@@elenabloksberg212You was probably doing stiff leg deadlifts. That is better for targeting the hamstrings anyway
These step by step instructions are so helpful. Thanks so much man!
Bro so glad they help. I seriously wish I had videos like this when I started lifting 😌 thats one huge reason I make them!
Bro pls reply
My stomach struggling when i do squats

Maybe because of stop Breathing?
When we lift weights
Followed this and my lower back ain't hurtin' anymore.. i knew i was doing it wrong
I recently started doing RDL's, and I can't tell if I'm doing them correctly. I tend to feel my lower back the most.
I needed this video. Keep up the great content.
That's fine, your lower back is working as a stabilizer muscle trying to hold 100+ lbs of your body weight and the weight you're holding. Ofc you'll feel it 👍
As long as it’s not lower back pain and just soreness. I feel soreness all throughout my back bc I keep my back stiff and straight. Had bad back pain once from poor back stiffness. I don’t wanna go down that road again, was a tough 2 weeks.
As soon as I got the form right I fatigued realy hard the next day. It is auch a complex exercise and your nervous system will need to adapt that i had to take extra naps to recover and needed a 3 day break after the first time i did them😅
Do we keep pur lower back arched?
It's amazing how good these videos are. What a time to be alive.
I’ve been struggling so bad to get this form right, this is the best explanation I’ve seen Thank you !
Bro that pushing the feet down tip was so clutch. I can feel it more in my hamstrings and but now. Thank you 🔥
The last point about the glutes not feeling, was very useful for me.
New to working out with correct form can sometimes let us make assumptions that may not be true. I like the breadth of your content, pls keep it coming.

Really useful, thank you!
This video is super helpful and the perfect length for a quick reference in the gym. THANK YOU.
One thing I am struggling with is the grip factor of this exercise - my left hand/wrist/forearm gives out too easily. I noticed the model in the video uses straps to secure his grip! Any tips on how to do this properly and safely for weighted Romanian deadlifts?
I always come here when I’m not sure of something .. 💪🏾 content is top tier
Watching your videos makes me wanna get up and start to workout
I’ve watched this on loop maybe 1000 times while copying you .. and I feel the burn

Record your form at home and critique it my boy
