Great repair as always. And thank you for letting people know the difference between repair and restoration or if the car is worth it. It cost a lot of money if you gonna take the whole car:)
Best solution for the rust that spreads inside cavities etc is fluid film or other lanoline based stuff (need a compressor and some spraying equipment to do it properly). This stops it cold and is easy as you can spray it on rust that is not too thick, in fact it works best if there is thin rust.
It was a good one and to be fair what we forgot to mention in the video is it had been protected very well, i think you may have used a rust neutraliser on it ? :)

@@yorkshirecarrestoration hey I wish I was near you, I'm restoring a 58 Morris Oxford traveller and it takes me best part of a week to replace a door bottom to any sort of standard, you'd get my work that's for sure😁
My favourite rust repair was done on my dad's old van. He used to have a retired bus mechanic weld up his old Mitsubishi van before every MOT. In 2012 the L300 failed the MOT despite the old chap's efforts. In Austria there's a four month courtesy period for expired MOTs so my dad continued to drive the car until he found a replacement. One day after some heavy summer rains I walked past the car and noticed something off in the sill area near the sliding door. Upon closer inspection the old geezer had patched a sizeable rot hole with corrugated cardboard and filler! A lick of paint hid that quite well until the carboard got damp and started peeling. Needless to say he didn't get to work on any other family cars.
I did my first weld repair the other day on my van doors id bought. It had the typical drill holes for the aftermarket locks. I just want to say thank you for the guidance over however many videos I've watched. Been a great help. Cracking business you have. Gavin
