    Hi thanks for uploading this content it's awesome work..I do alot of fabrication on cars the sheet metal that I use on body work in some areas is thin so I can get a corner shape easily with the use of very little tools, however when it comes to floor sections like chassis sections I try to use 2mm or less a friend of mine uses 3mm which I think is overkill and a waste of money as its only as strong as to what its attached to I think 2mm is plenty what do you think? a crumple zone is necessary to take impact through the car not the driver or other occupants I'm not really one for government red tape but I do think that in these cases a little safety is good practice I only now do work on my own cars I try steer clear of any work as I've got some ill say some minor health issues any help would be appreciated thanks.

    • @yorkshirecarrestoration
      @yorkshirecarrestoration  2 роки тому +4

      Hi Stuart. Glad your enjoying the videos :) 👍 as for the chassis and strengthening sections 2mm is plenty , usually the original chassis etc are 1.6mm and that’s what we use :)
