Continue cooking the "local style" way. Real home cooking is done through observation (watching tūtū or mom) and constant tasting. The ending made me drool. Great job Keoni.

Followed your recipe to the tee....this was the BOMB!!!👍🏼😋😋😋

My obachan has a similar recipe like this with the daikon she also added sliced carrots to the sweet sour spareribs. Mahalo! for the posting of this........
Sounds like a GREAT recipe. I am going to try this. HA HA at 4:44 you said the juices are coming out of the chicken, (I did not know that went into Sweet & Sour Spare Ribs, and I did not see you add it). I know this was just a slip of the tongue,( Just messing with you Buddy) I will try this for sure. Thanks for what I think will be a GREAT DISH.
@ lansco2 ha haa. He did say chicken. He also said "ginger" at 2:49 but I think he meant to say garlic. Lol
I stay ONO for dis!

Gotta try this. We love sweet-sour spare ribs, but I have never cooked it at home. Always take-out. I kind of remember my mother par-boiling the ribs before actually making it into spare ribs. Is this not so any more? (I am 78, so it has been ages and more since I have had homemade ribs.) Thank you!
I so appreciate Foodland and this chef for labeling or the title of this dish properly sweet sour ribs Hawaii style.
What’s very annoying is seeing individuals who are putting their recipes together that are commonly Chinese Japanese or Filipino and calling it “Hawaiian style“ it’s offensive because it’s a dish that you find in Hawaii it’s not a dish Created by native Hawaiians.
Correct me if I'm wrong did I hear "chicken"??? Lol

I was looking for somebody that when notice too haha yaa he did
I need measurements.... good recipe though. Trying tonight!!

What heck is 666667/1000000 cup apple cider vinegar in the recipe??
Chicken...!?!?
Eh at 4:47 he say da juices coming out of the chicken.... dis guy no even have a clue what he cooking how I going take him seriously? Bro if you don't know you don't know just be up front and say this is your first time making this trying to look pro but sounding all amature . Nice try though
Shannon Johnson 😂😂
omg...you didn't give one single measurement. How is that a recipe???? You have no clue, dude. Stay out of other peoples kitchens, for their sake.
Rude comment. Clearly you don't know how to cook. Or maybe you are new to cooking. As you gain experience you will adapt recipes.
I rarely use a recipe except for baking.
Wow thank you for being so observant! Too bad you weren't observant enough to read the video details where it says follow the link for the recipe. Smh that's mainlanders for you 😂
I never measure my ingredients, I eyeball everything and taste and make adjustments. Like he said, this is a guideline and you make adjustments according to your taste.
