As a guy who smokes racks of ribs for hours and hours I wanted to say no to this vid but I stayed for the music and ended up thinking I'd try this but with "country style ribs" (pork shoulder cut into rib sized pieces). Thanks for sharing this.
Sounds like a great idea. That coleslaw sure looks tasty. I’d just need some type of potato dish added to this to make it a real meal.
If you haven't hear that song before, you haven't watched many European cooking vids on youtube
That Stoopid repeating song is certainly maddening..
Looks delicious I’d definitely try it ❤❤
Excellent I will try it thank you, for those super chefs if you don't like it because your's is better, don't slam it until you try it!🙂👍
Don’t listen to all the arrogant nay sayers, that think everything needs to be BBQ’d 🙄& are too ignorant to realize other countries have recipes we know nothing about. This recipe looks great! Trying something different once in awhile is good for the soul.
I agree , they probably have not had ribs any other way
A lot of people think that they are experts when it comes to cooking and that their way of making something is the only way, when food can be prepared in several different ways depending of where your from.
We boiled our ribs.
You go boy, BOIL THE FLAVOR RIGHT OUT !!!!
@@carmelopappalardo8477. Same here
The knife choice and cutting technique had me on edge during the whole video. At the end, still had all of the finger tips. Phew...😆 Although not a method I've used for ribs, I would try to make it.👍 Thanks for sharing and making my heart rate go up...😂
Idk how this guy has all his fingers in place and no band aids of any kind
Only reason I watched to the end 😂
Terrible moments.
I had to look away, absolute scary knife skills…
Knife had me curling my toes
It never hurts to have another rib recipe up your sleeve !
Love this recipe! Looks delicious and elegant. The salad looks healthy. For the pessimists negative people, my suggestion is: if you don’t have anything positive or constructive, better don’t say anything.
A lot of folks on the Internet never learned that life lesson.🙄🙄🙄
IDK about the ribs, but that salad looks to be an excellent change up from regular Cole slaw.
What a brilliant recipe. Thank you ❤❤❤
I don't know why people peel off that layer of connective tissue. It's pure collagen and helps repair the collagen in one's body. I always eat that, along with the cartilage. I'm 55 years old and all my joints are in perfect condition.
Agreed, I just put a few nicks in it so the ribs don’t curl up.
@@adamlunn3071Oh, and because I eat stuff like this - collagen, connective tissue, gristle, fat, and especially the meat, I still look 40 and can still work circles around boys 30 years younger than me. I bowhunt and fish, but the bones is where the fountain of youth lies. Make yourself a nice bone broth, and you'll be amazed at its restorative benefits.
Those who smoke or grill ribs remove that membrane to permit smoke, spices and juices to make contact with that side of the rib meat. If it's left on, the ribs are essentially sealed on one side.
Keep rolling
@@lastzeenuhhh, not really. I've smoked ribs like that for decades without taking off that membrane, and still came out mighty flavorful on both sides.
While this may be good....I'll stick with BBQ ribs over charcoal! Or, in the winter, slow cooked in the crock pot....
Here's a brilliant trick: fingers should be curled under (not splayed out) when slicing vegetables
Yes. And a better knife! Recipe looks interesting
Unless you want to add some blood…
The bandaid companies don't want you to know this one simple trick, but they can't stop you!
Guess the want a little color!!
That looks delicious!!!
Love the ribs alsome good great job ❤️😋
They did the same to our family, 46yrs, took my son off that crap, second opinion, turned beautiful, he is 54, no problems. Thank u University of Washington ❤️💯❤️
I like the music.🎉 I'm enjoying this video!
Excelente receta, se ve muy rico. Gracias
Looks delicious, definitely will try it
Ribs and coleslaw looked 💣
Just glad you made it through with all of your finger tips
seriously, I was queasy waiting for it.
Now I see, my mom loved fried ribs and she did boil a bit.
Floured and fried in a little oil not added to to any type sauce.
This looks "DELICIOUS" 😋
❤Thanks for your upload😊
That looks like a deliciously different way to enjoy ribs. While I do like them grilled with a smokey tomato based sauce on them I also like to try different versions of them.
Looks delicious
First, I could eat that salad everyday! Do you ever add poppy seed to it? I will try these ribs made this way. Everything looks so yummy!
Live the way u are cooking the ribs great job 😋🎉
This was a good watch 👍
I made this dish and my family almost ate the tips of their fingers off 😋😋😋😋
Love the music 🎶
Excelente e fácil de fazer, a apresentação muito boa! Parabéns! - Brasília/Brasil
Definitely not changing the way I cook ribs! lol 🤣🤣🤣
Bom dia Mestre. Sou do Rio de Janeiro. Sou seu fã. Excelente arte. Muito bom. Parabéns.
Looks tasty- catchy little tune, feels like I'm in a Mr. Rogers video- "Hello Neighbor"
Delicious 😋🤤
Excelente receta.saludos desde argentina
I love the salad...
Wow 👍 sieht so schon suuuper aus 👍 und schmeckt auch sicher so 😋
Danke für das tolle Video.
I’m planning to prepare this recipe for my kids when they come to visit me.
Excellent I will try it looks delicious,. For those super chefs if you don't like it, don't make it,. I love trying NEW things .😊👍
I like putting them in vinegar water for an hour and then cooking on grill , the vinegar tenderizes them.
You're making my ancestors cry.
Like wise his ancestors do the same watching us Americans drown everything in bbq sauce
Brilliant.... brilliant.... brilliant 😊😅😂
In a restaurant, it’s pretty tough to do cause of time constraints but looks great
I think you need to try some Authentic Southern BBQ. The ONLY way to eat ribs of any kind that actually showcases the meat instead of a bunch of other ingredients is to cook them low and slow.
I have NEVER heard of anyone pan frying ribs among the zillion other veggies added.
They are put in a smoker with NO grease just allowed to cook for hours and hours. The only ingredient needed is BBQ sauce.
You do know ribs are eaten all around the world using many different recipes, right ?
I mean yeah bbqed ribs are good but that's far from the only way to cook them.
Four onions AND then more onions?? Scallions are also onions. I mean I like my onions, usually raw, but c'mon.
What a limited viewpoint: "my way is the only way"...
and avoiding any other cooking style.
A few years ago I moved to the South, well, it's sort of the South--northwest Arkansas--and have been enjoying ribs here more than I used to on the West Coast. I'm sure how it's done here is the best, but I'd be willing to try parboiling my ribs (as seen in this video), just to see if it makes 'em less greasy, and it may or may not turn out that that "new" taste is actually better. Probably I'd try a few, then add a greasy BBQ sauce to 'em? Who knows.
Also, adding a breading to my ribs? No. That just seems wrong. I'll let somebody else do that, then try theirs. Probably never bread my ribs at home.
Ive never been able to understand why people boil ribs! You boil the flavor out and turn the meat to mush. Not sure about boiling and frying them, but no thanks. Ribs are made for smoking and BBQing without ever boiling. As for taking off the membrane, insert a steak knife under it, lift and pull it off. Works every time.
Boil the Country style ribs....... NOT a rack😋😋 you don't even need teeth 😁🤣🤣
I wish it worked for me Everytime. But then again it's me . If anything can give me a hard time and make me work harder it will lol
@@Julietismyshihtzustop complaining and make it work! Thinking like that will make you fail every time, I know because it used to be me. 👍
once you get one end up grab with a paper towel and pull. Too slippery with a bare hand.
They’re barely boiled tho
Thats what i always do. Pork is so fatty, boiling definitely takes care of that best ever completion for delish ribs ❤
My dad loved to BBQ, his mato never (in the 60's 70's the term was " PAR BOIL") YOUR RIBS.
AS THE PERSON STATED YOU BOIL OUT THE FLAVOR ! 😊
The par-boiling to get rid of the skin is nice but could never do ribs this way.
Who's hating can they cook? If so, cook what?? Of course it's a brilliant presentation
what cookware you use?
Music and filet knife must go!
I’d go for the salad.
"How to cook ribs" - Starts by boiling them... Nope.
The music is great, that cheesy little knife scares the hell out of me. The dish looks fabulous!
"THERE IS NO ONE WAY TO MARINATE, COOK, OR PRESENT ANYTHING, SO BELIEVE WHOEVER, AND, WHAT YOU WANT!
MARVELOUS HUM 😋
Awesome recipe! Another way to do ribs. Criticizing it is like saying that there is something that bacon doesn’t go well with.
Благодарю за классные рецепт приготовления блюд из мяса и салатов из овощей.
Looks delicious yo me
Talk about the kitchen sink 😂
Nossa, muito trabalho, muito ingredientes....
Pass. Let those ribs soak in wine vinegar mix overnight. Throw on the grill with wine-vinegar spritz. No leftovers are guaranteed 😊
Instead of boiling the ribs just to get the membrane off is simple... take a thin sharp knife and get under it to pull it up then grab it and pull..it comes right off..or you can make slits across the membrane and marinate them in a mixture of your seasoning ,Apple cider vinegar and beer refrigerated for at least 36 hours... Pull the ribs on the charcoal grill, hickory and mesquite wood and cook low and slow...talk trash with your buddies and have a beer or two... that's old school that has never failed...boiling,frying in butter and oil??? Not one ounce of homemade BBQ sauce... however I did like the slaw...
I think it's funny that hardly no one cooks one a stove any more.
Now im hungry..🙄
I never met a Rib I didn't like!😮😂
Thanks for the extremely difficult and expensive way to make something that otherwise cooks itself. Looks delicious, but difficult and I think you put everything including the kitchen sink into the dish that would taste just as good with a bit of time and barbecue sauce.
You can also simply fry an egg and it’s delicious; but there’s plenty of more complicated and expensive ways to cook an egg that are well worth the time and expense.
How do I get these 6 minutes back? What a waste of ribs..
Fried ribs. Been there done that
Good for you.
Braising is a wonderful way to cook tougher cuts of meat.
My mother always boiled ribs before cooking.
The music has to go!!!
😂😂😂
It’s on a lot of food videos
Loved the music
I fry ribs sometimes also. They taste like pork chops
Dear God that knife and that cutting technique - just waiting for a bad slice.
It's much easier to just use a paper towel to pull the membrane off the back of the rib. You can do it before or after parboiling.
Pork does look good though
I thought you were going to filet a fish at first with that knife, those poor Ribs suffered a horrible death.
Спасибо, тоже замечательно!
I’ll still smoke mine
SPARK! All you need to do is add some green beans, some strips of ham, half a cauliflower, some Brussels sprouts, a bunch of parsley, some Asturian broad beans, a spoonful of Galician spread, a spoonful of foiegra, half a dozen eggs and a tablespoon of baking soda so that the belly does not burst. JA.JA.,JA
When I saw a white hand I knew it couldn't be good
🤤🤤
It got complicated, but it looks good...
Eso que le quita después de cocerla es lo que me gusta, no sabe igual sin eso
The title should read……”How to Totally Screw Up a Perfect Rack of Ribs”. You could also add, what would be the wrong knife to chop veggies.
I'd like to try it, but I'd never make it on my own; I just don't have the thyme.
😂
Is there a part 2? I'm still waiting for this mysterious, unknown trick because everything I saw is what I already know.
Nice Video but could be shortened by half.
The vinegar curdles the milk. Leave milk out until the end.
E lo chef Ruffi muto 😂
Did u boil just to remove the membrane? UNNECESSARY, but to each his own. I've cooked them asian style and several different ways and boiling them sometimes is necessary for asian sticky ribs. I will be trying this and that coleslaw. Thanks for sharing. NOTE: PULL OF MEMBRANE BEFORE BOIL
Add ur barbecue sauce just enough to color the water
Fire the soprano sax player on the music track.
Sack em all !😊
Big No No………. Never boil ribs……..
And another thing 😂 you season the onions but not the ribs?? What in the white folks is going on here?? 😂😂😂
Apparently they are not of this world. An absolute sin.
All the SoulFood White people was Enjoying before Food Network was a thing, The Ribs were ALWAYS Boiled 1st.. Cook and Finish with whatever Methods you like.. We have Always Boiled Ribs for a short time before Cooking them... Always
😊👍🏻
I really wish that videos would stop showing people using a mandoline without cut resistant gloves, and I agree about the knife being a hazard for slicing
Given the ingredients, I thinking Memphis pulled pork kinda thing.
The slaw gives it away.
killing me that membrane seals in the natural juices !!!
So exactly what is the "brilliant trick"?
Two minute boil to get that membrane off is the only thing I saw
To get you to watch the video
My thoughts exactly lol
And when did they season the ribs???
The cross contamination
I was with you until you cut the ribs with a knife and fork! 😂😂😂😂😂
cook how you want, but to cut you in on a little trick...use a paper towel to pull that back membrane off. takes like 10 seconds.
I'm just here for the optimistic and vaguely European children's music.
