    I love that you refer to notes rather than tablature positions. Please keep saying the notes. It makes me learn the fretboard better. Thank you so much.

    Simply outstanding. Alberto's explanations are clear concise comparisons, rooted in music theory, heads above so many other videos that simply say "this note, that note." I thank you !

    This is so good...so very good. I have seen about 20 or 30 "how to" videos on this solo and yours is the only one explaining exactly how and why the Triads are played the way they are. This makes it so much easier to understand. I have to know why I am playing the notes. This is great thank you. I didnt realize Felder was sliding to the 3rd!

    THANK YOU for this! I've been spending the last week using "Transcribe!" to figure out those parts, @8:11, I thought I was going crazy hearing the Db when so many covers, lessons, even Felder talking about it himself (Guitar World Interview) don't play it. In the end I reached exactly the same conclusion about the notes as you did. So either I was right or we're both wrong 🤣🤣, either way it's good to know someone agrees!

      As I say in the video, I don’t think even Felder recalls what he played on the record exactly. But notes don’t lie 😂

      hey Mark! My poor Dad doesn't work on my videos, ahaha too much to do in the garden and not a big friend of computers! But a raise in chocolate could be a good idea anyways! Wikipedia is a little tricky, I def would a need a page. Cheers my friend

      @@albertolombardimusic Just kidding about Morando, but you know that already 🤣! My Mom (DoB 1925) was allergic to computers & preferred her garden too. On (0:32) to (1:19): day 1 of learning guitar, my friend showed me what to listen for in tuning, but it took me 10yrs. to hear the "wah . . wah . . wah" modulating frequency difference between an "e4" on the "b" string, & the open high "e4" string. -> 330hz. vs 328hz., for example, until 330hz = 330hz. & one heard one continuous "wah." I learned to listen for the frequency modulation & not the "ring tone" of the note. It took me 30yrs. to hear the "ring tones" of that last finishing lick in Clapton's "Crossroads" at around (2:19), from the "Disraeli Gears" album. I'm serious about "Wikipedia"!!! Professional freelance writers aren't that expensive, & they do a great job. I'm sure you could find one online. Maybe "Wikipedia" could recommend someone, or point you in the right direction. You also have professional contacts, somebody would know how to go about that (preferably on the cheap). I'm sure it would cost less than one of your guitars & a fraction of a vintage U47. Ciao, cheers, & kind regards! .

    P.S: Since you posted "HOTEL CALIFORNIA SOLO - lesson / tutorial - (Harmony, part 3),'" it's thumbnail has consistently appeared on the top or 2nd lines of my open "UA-cam" account home page. This morning it was back on the top line. Why? Your 10.5K subscribers? More likes? Who knows, your backroom "UA-cam" stats does, that's for sure! Congratulations!!! Your now 18min. old "Hotel California, harmony part #shorts" is consistently posting in the far Left end of the top line of thumbnails!!! Way to go!!! Kind regards, see you Monday, & "Break a leg!" 🤣 ! I'm going to watch your "Hotel California, harmony part #shorts" next! !

    I always found this the hardesy part to learn it as when youtr not playing it at full speed its hard ro recognize what youre even playing and how it should match what youre hearing on the record.
    It just sounds like a bunch of random notes

    The first 2 tutorials were perfect, but this 3rd one... Hmm too much talking and all over the place, found myself just sitting through the whole video with my guitar in my lap never really knowing where the hell you were in the solo and couldn't really get much out of it.. going to have to replay a hundred times to make any sense out of it I guess because this is really the coolest part of the solo, so kinda frustrating. So back tracking I will go to try to make sense of it.. but thanks for doing it anyway I will get it sooner or later I guess.

  • @zoocru67
    @zoocru67 4 місяці тому

    I wish it would just stick with one player all the way through. It's too damn confusing because your hopping back and forth and it's hard to decipher which freaking part is supposed to be played and when. From about 12:30 on its almost impossible to figure which part is which and when to play what. Grrrr.. so it's going to take WAY more time to figure this part 3 out. I've been messing with it for 3 damn nights now and still haven't got it.. first 2 parts were a breeze and easy to understand, this 3rd part of just fuxxxxxked!!!

    How come you did not break down the last lick Joe Walsh plays on part 2 and Felder is harmonizing with at the beginning of part 3? You show the break down for Felder on part 3 at the very beginning which is great. I went back to part 2 and you just play the Joe Walsh harmony lick and did not explain how to play it. I hope you understand what part I'm talking about. You left out how to play that Joe Walsh lick.

      @@albertolombardimusic You are right! Somehow I missed that. Thank you so much for the clarification. You are SO good! Beautiful playing and decoding of the song. How about doing Life in the Fast Lane? There are so many fills in that tune I would like to know how to do and no one has figured out. Plus whom ever teaches the main riff does it wrong. The last time through on the intro Walsh plays different notes that what he previously was playing. Everyone teaches to play all the riffs the same which is wrong. I'll bet you can figure it out easily.

    your lesson is brilliant but too much talking. If you can reduce your talk to 20% of what you currently do then your views will be sure increased by 200%. Because your talk distracts most of the music notes and the sound becomes obscured and hard to remember. Thank you so much.
